To anybody that owns a Khukuri, this has to be the most important video on youtube! I have a few Khukuris, and am very safety conscience person, but this never once crossed my mind! Thanks so much for sharing this as I'm sure it has saved some cut fingers! Take care.

I don't need a kukri, yet Blackie is bound and determined I will own one! At least that's the story I'll tell my wife.

Excellent, informative video Blackie. I've been using Kukri's for several years now and didn't know this. Thanks!

Excellent video as always. You've taught me a lot. Could you go over how you added the canvas cover too? Thanks, Blackie!

after your last Kukri vid I went on line and checked Khukuri House I already own 1 of their "village made Sirupati style Kukris" and I found that they are actually producing a military Kukri with a canvas wrapped scabbard 👍👍🖖🤘 Bill

Great video. Any chance we could get a instructional video on how to make that canvas cover? I’ve tried a few ways but it never works out. Thanks!

I let a guy look at mine. He pulled it out know problem and then proceeded to slice open one side when he put it back in improperly. I was PO'd, now have to make a new sheath.

though minor , I have cut myself with a kukri in just the way described it was a wake up call to be more careful, but one issue I have with my kukri is the tip of the sheath itself, unlike Blackie's kukri mine is very pointed brass covering and it has gotten me more times than I can count, and I do not want to ruin the originality of it but it makes it difficult to carry as it pokes through bags and skin very easily. not sure if anyone else has run into this issue .
