Too bad for those who never got to see Pantera live in the glory days.....because this isn't even almost of shell of that.
Born in 91. Feelsbadman. I was 13 when Dime was killed and didn't really discover Pantera till I was 15 and they became one of my favourite bands. I'm just so happy I'm gonna finally be able to see some of these songs played live with Rex and Phil this weekend in Detroit.
For sure, i've seen many live videos from the past and you're right. But it's better to see them like that than never.
Phil was looking at Charllie like "Ready to be hostile?" and Charllie was like "Fuck, yeah" 😆

Pantera just hit the stage and blasted away. Metallica-while still good- just didn’t have the same raw energy. I felt like I was in my early 20’s again. Some of the most pure joy and fun I’ve had in decades.

Presentation of your sound as whole matters and this version of Pantera is like a wall of ass kick the entire time.
Whereas Metallica sounded good but Lars’ kit sound and playing, audio swells of Rob’s bass, and their lack of energy from everyone not named Hetfield. Rob looks lost and like he can barely move
I worried about the massive stage but Pantera make damn good use of it and crush!

That's because Pantera was always a harder metal band than Metallica. It's been that way since Pantera came around. Dimebag was one of a kind.

@@steveb6718 he literally sounds better than he has since 2001, who cares if he’s not wearing cut off flannels and converses, dudes 54 and sounds awesome… I’ve seen this version of pantera twice… he’s sober, sounds good.. and the members that are alive don’t need the money as much as the family and friends of the ones who aren’t, vinnies estate auctioned off everything… so the Abbotts need the “cashing in” more than anyone on the stage
