Working good so far! Have had it for at least 2 years. Just gotta be careful when drilling out the rivers for the factory baffle to not drill through the oil pan.
Awesome video man! Great personality to brother I love it! Made me laugh out loud. Definitely a good mod to do if you own a tbss. It easier if you own a rwd model
Great video man but I have a question would a baffle work for a rwd ss because I feel like a c6 conversion is expensive and I don’t launch my truck from a stop but I do accelerate when I’m going 40 sometimes I’m just more worried about how much oil the truck consumes the oil any thoughts?
Thanks for the video. My motor was starved for oil on a hard launch and i believe i spun a bearing. Motor has 143k so im going to have it rebuilt so i can come out fresh. I feel that doing the c6 pan conversion is my best option since the oil pickup will be from the back instead of front. I briefly looked a few things up online but wondering if you could lead me in a direction where I can find a kit or somewhere that mentions everything that i will need. I read about having to swap crossmembers as well.. i've been dying to get my truck back on the road.
www.dsperformance.net/c6-oil-pan-swap-kit-for-trailblazer-ss this is where you can get the corvette swap pan from let me know how it goes.. is your trailblazer a all wheel drive?
@@Coverman66 after much thought and from some recommendations and watching more of your videos.. i think the kevin hanson baffle is the way to go, especially for the price and doing a budgeted build
Whats the deal T?!!!!This spring I'm gon dig into my Yukon!! That 5.3 has 220k and was blowing smoke on start up!! I did that valve cover up grade with a Dorman 264969 and the smoke went away but man the inside of that engine is a ball of crud!!! Ive owned it almost 4yrs had 170k in 2016 was going to rebuild the top end but would rather have a whole new engine
i got a couple of rail road ties and cut them, tied 2 together and i have 2 on top of 2 on each wheel, giving me a 11 inch lift when i need the weight on the car..
I’m on my third engine for my trailblazer because of this luckily warranty covered it I don’t know if I should mess with it to fix the issue so nothing happens in the future and void the warranty or just leave it as is. What do you think ?
haven’t done any oil pan upgrades because it will void my dealership warranty to mess with it and it starved for oil every time and I get a spun bearing so far dealer has covered it but just tired of it being in the shop all the time
Wise choice on Kevin's baffle! I run one too. Kevin's an asset to the tbss community for sure. Can't wait for that first start up!
thanks brotha Greg.. that video is coming soon.. lolol
Threw a rod in my Saab driving it back home from purchasing 😢😢 too little too late. Great video brother. Easy sub
Sorry to hear that, if you need any help just reach out brotha..
Time for a baffle in the pan of my 5.3i Saab 9-7x. Thanks for the info!
they are great.. no problem brotha Marty..
same here, lol
Nice, I did the PCMofNC baffle and pick up tube kit in my AWD TBSS
how did that work with the AWD set up?

@@Coverman66 You will see me again . I go to Sema every year . It is great to see another Chevelle person.

Good Job sir and thank you!
Thank you too!
Nice, can’t wait to see you light that thing off especially that LSA.
its in the remote tuning process now.. thanks.. watch for the start up video coming soon..
My uncle has a ss3 but his is a 6.0 would the baffle still work on his ? I’m seeing everyone saying it’s for a 5.3
Great video.. how much do you charge to do this bc I just purchased a tbss
email me and we can talk..
😂 dude you're funny, good video! I just did a video on this a couple of weeks ago too. Love your work man, keep it up!!
much appreciated brotha Rev.. im going to sub to your channel..
@@Coverman66 hey man great video. By any chance do you have or know the measurements of the baffle I'd like to try and make one. Thanks
you could also put some grease on your drill bit to help catch the metal shavings.
exactly.. lolol works like a charm..

very true.. less part to remove.. to me its a great addition.. much appreciated brotha Brandon
What is the best way to hook up a real oil pressure gauge to my TBSS. My gauge is playing tricks on me and I'm scared to drive it.
drill and tap the piece thats bolted on the back of the drivers side oil pan and put your sending unit in there.. that will read accurately
where do u get the baffle from?

between the baffle and a extra qt of oil you should be cool.. the baffle is a great piece for any TBSS..
does an extra quart of oil cause any issues?
You have to do that on the 2wd ?
it will work on the AWD models as well
What did you use to clean up the matting suface?
3m roloc white wheel.. it cleans without removing the metal..

pcm of nc makes a rear pan conversion and its cheaper..

do you have a good machine shop near your house?
@@Coverman66 im pretty sure its some around but the guys ive delt with since 03 went out of biz and its hard for me to trust random shops!
Yo Terry what Jack stands and you have your truck on?
i got a couple of rail road ties and cut them, tied 2 together and i have 2 on top of 2 on each wheel, giving me a 11 inch lift when i need the weight on the car..
How did the upgrade turn out? Did it solve the issue?
so far very well brotha Dig.. thanks for asking partner.. there will be more clips coming for sure.. thanks again.
do you still run the extra quart with the baffle installed?
yes.. cant hurt.. just a lil extra security lol
Still trying to figure out what you did to that oil pan. It's baffling me! ;) Great Video!
lolol i like that..let me know if you have any questions..

It’s awd
what is happening, and why are your 3 rd engine?
haven’t done any oil pan upgrades because it will void my dealership warranty to mess with it and it starved for oil every time and I get a spun bearing so far dealer has covered it but just tired of it being in the shop all the time
coverman66 and I’m asking if you think it’s work changing the pan setup even if it voids dealer warranty
i will be putting a video out in a few so you can see how the oil stays in the pan on hard launches. i would install one if i were you.. stay tuned..
That is awesome!! I need to do my oil pan gasket oh my 5.3 trailblazer! The baffle would be the same by chance??? And seems like a pain to remove!!
its not that bad.. a alwheel drive will be a lil more difficult..
How long did it take to remove the pan approximately?
hard to say because i was doing alot of work to the TBSS. i would say maybe 4 hours.. if you have a 2 wheel drive it would be a lil easier.
Put a supercharger in that ss
thats whats happening.. great minds think alike..
