why the hell didn't people sign their letters? If I wrote a question that john might answer I'd obviously write my name on it. I mean, as dumb or childish as this seems, just having john read my name and the idea of him knowing I exist would be awesome!
The song in his latest album called "God" really makes me wonder if he believes or not. That song actually made me think that god means something else to this guy other than a bearded dude sittin on a cloud. Maybe he's talking about this universal energy?
OMG! fucking HUGE frusciante fan for years and i watched some of these but i missed this one. ive been wondering for so long if he believed in god and was starting to think he did because of the song on the empyrean. im so relieved. i knew he was a logical thinker
John is quite the awsome guy, everyone has different minds and thoughts, im not a christian to judge and i admire john and will continue to love his music although his thoughts on god are different than mine. Being a good person is what its about and he fits the bill.
I saw an interview of him with the Peppers saying something about "Thanks to the Lord" for getting him through the drug period and getting back to the band I think, but i guess he changed his view after that
First takes forever, lol. John is awesome. I've actually taken up that habit because of him. I'll always say "Hendrix forever" or "Frusciante forever." And that's how much he would still influence me if I didn't play guitar, lol.
@kiedis05 probably agnostic comes close. I'm similiar on that aspect and I'm not agnostic either, but it's the only thing that comes anywhere close. But it's more like being yourself and living on your experiences, not following a certain group or giving a damn about other peoples thoughts about spirituality.
OK cool. Hey I was listening to amputechture the other day and I ws wondering how do I distinguish John and Omars guitar playing, usually the solos are Omar so I can tell then but during the verse and choruses and stuff. Do you know if Omar panned John to one side or not. I read something about how Omar panned John to one side and him ot the other on their last album but I'm wondering about Amputechture and the rest of their albums.
I agree with andow7, a view point on a topic as broad and important as the existence of god is something everybody should figure out for themselves, otherwise we'd all just be following exactly what is fed to us by the environment and we'd never evolve. Even if it is someone as magnificent as Frusciante...
i belive there is a god, i dont know what doeswnt make sense about, but that is his perspective. either way he is a sincere and good hearted person, and he makes some of the most amazing ang original music ever
Do you think they just put him in a room by himself and gave him all these questions? It must have been weird to just talk into a mic for an hour by yourself
Ummmm....I look forward.....to um....being on many planets in the futute.....un.....I like pineapple jucie......um....IM THE CEILING, IM THE WAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
The Empyrean doesn't negate anything John said here about not believing in god, unless you take the christian symbolism at face level - which, considering one of his quotes about the album's concept in which he basically subverts the notion of heaven ("[The figure] eventually realizes that the highest point in heaven is a potential inside him"), i highly doubt was his intention. this being said, he's clearly not an atheist either; he's obviously a spiritual person, but he just seems to have his own personal belief system.
@antiph0bia Its his beliefs man. And you see what just happened? You obiously didnt agree with what he said, and you shared yours. That my friend is why people get pissed off. Now he doesnt share his beliefs publicly because he knows what would happen so dont share yours.
John is an overall good person, a great person, that's why so many people look up to him and that's why he's the spitting image of Jesus! Well what many people believe Jesus generally looks like.
@bill14231393 That is also true of energy as well, which begs the question, Why are you guys arguing? Just watch the fekin video, im sure that you can take this argurment somewhere where other people care.
@SubsistenceSC but do listen to what he has to say, i still believe in God but i think he is very interesting and has a view that is worth listening to, i did like (thumbs up) ur comment though
"[God is] a concept which causes people to be more moral than they would otherwise because there's this invisible sort of threat."
i love this man
why the hell didn't people sign their letters? If I wrote a question that john might answer I'd obviously write my name on it. I mean, as dumb or childish as this seems, just having john read my name and the idea of him knowing I exist would be awesome!
I think he´s at home, probably all alone, answering to a tape recorder.
The song in his latest album called "God" really makes me wonder if he believes or not. That song actually made me think that god means something else to this guy other than a bearded dude sittin on a cloud. Maybe he's talking about this universal energy?
I got a question. Marry me? Haha
OMG! fucking HUGE frusciante fan for years and i watched some of these but i missed this one. ive been wondering for so long if he believed in god and was starting to think he did because of the song on the empyrean. im so relieved. i knew he was a logical thinker

Yeah being responsible for killing river Phoenix was a great thing to do. Murderers like john are great to you
Yes, it's great that he can define something like that. Very wise person in my opinion!
he basically said in words what i've been feeling for a long while.
I saw an interview of him with the Peppers saying something about "Thanks to the Lord" for getting him through the drug period and getting back to the band I think, but i guess he changed his view after that
Existance of God is something that has troubled me for ages. But John just answered the question for me.
First takes forever, lol. John is awesome. I've actually taken up that habit because of him. I'll always say "Hendrix forever" or "Frusciante forever." And that's how much he would still influence me if I didn't play guitar, lol.
his phone rang lol
I particularly like this part of the interview: the order of the universe and first takes .. :)
i love his first answer and i agree
Hahahahahahahaha the phone ringing.
Sorry guys it was me calling him for a date xD
@kiedis05 probably agnostic comes close. I'm similiar on that aspect and I'm not agnostic either, but it's the only thing that comes anywhere close. John...you don't have to apologize for being a skeptic. A smart person is a skeptic.
it's true, first does take forever
@Relics416 This isn't chemistry class. This video is about John Frusciante. Please.
first takes forever. so great
Actually it's energy that cannot be created or destroyed
and the E in E=mc^2 is energy, and the M is Mass, which is matter.
OK cool. This was very interesting!

FIRST TAKES FOREVER!
frusciante, god is alive you know him cis you know yourself
2019?
if somebody were to die of that religion
I would cry forever :(
What song is he talking about that him and Omar did in only 4 takes?
i belive there is a god, i dont know what doeswnt make sense about, but that is his perspective. either way he is a sincere and good hearted person, and he makes some of the most amazing ang original music ever
Do you think they just put him in a room by himself and gave him all these questions? It must have been weird to just talk into a mic for an hour by yourself
How was this process managed? Surely he didn't just say here's my address send me your questions.
this kinda confuses me though..just cause The Empyrean has songs named, God, Heaven, etc. The songs seem to be Christian..idk
podria estar con SUBTITULOS EN ESPAÑOL, para poder tener un mejor entendimiento...
alguien que se motiveee :)!!
Ummmm....I look forward.....to um....being on many planets in the futute.....un.....I like pineapple jucie......um....IM THE CEILING, IM THE WAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
1st takes 4eva
@DMoon34
It wasn't a chemistry equation :P
yes because there are firey depths and higher places we can exist amongst with our souls...
HA
he's so right why do we need a guide to teach morality?
@jabberwockyfrog
not normally
also dark/light, before the beginning
and the songs lyrics have a christian outlook imo
there isn't a real answer
If there IS god, of course.
@mad boy
Your logic fails, this interview seems to be years before The Empyrean.
The Empyrean doesn't negate anything John said here about not believing in god, unless you take the christian symbolism at face level - which, considering one of his quotes about the album's concept in which he basically subverts the notion of heaven ("[The figure] eventually realizes that the highest point in heaven is a potential inside him"), i highly doubt was his intention. this being said, he's clearly not an atheist either; he's obviously a spiritual person, but he just seems to have his own personal belief system.
how did Rioth belittle believers?
People wake up, this photo i dont like it, John acts like he is Jesus, you guys all think John is God and stuff, stop it
First takes for ever
@RGMusician
ok, but why? lol
@jackjumperfreak We don't think John is God...we know he is God.
@freecool LOL he has made a career out of locking himself in a room recording himself
@antiph0bia Its his beliefs man. And you see what just happened? You obiously didnt agree with what he said, and you shared yours. That my friend is why people get pissed off. Now he doesnt share his beliefs publicly because he knows what would happen so dont share yours.
I agree with john about god
John is an overall good person, a great person, that's why so many people look up to him and that's why he's the spitting image of Jesus! Well what many people believe Jesus generally looks like.
first takes rule
@Relics416 Well that shows you just how much I know about science ha ha
Ummmm......eh......um....er.....i......um....er......um...
@bill14231393 That is also true of energy as well, which begs the question, Why are you guys arguing? Just watch the fekin video, im sure that you can take this argurment somewhere where other people care.
*you're
@SubsistenceSC but do listen to what he has to say, i still believe in God but i think he is very interesting and has a view that is worth listening to, i did like (thumbs up) ur comment though
He killed river Phoenix, extolled the virtues of heroin use, and his misogyny against women as evidenced in funky monks is deplorable
