We started travelling in 2004 in a coaster Bus
Started watching your you tube channel at the start of the Covid lockdowns and have now watched probably them all
We mostly free camped as you do and it is amazing that the places that you camped up we also camped at the same spots
I think Australia is a great place to travel and free camp with some great spots
You brought up some old memories when you went through Koondrook on the Murray those railway trucks that were at the station is my fault
I was a train driver in Vic when thay were closing down the line from Kerang to Koondrook and thay had stopped maintenance on the track the last crew that had to go out there spent 6 hours in the dirt off the tracks
I was driving a goods train from Swan Hill to Bendigo thay asked me to go out there and pick up the remaining trucks I refused to do it after a bit of a rumble with head office thay closed the track
So that is why thay have something to show people
Keep up the good work are you planing any more trips

G'day Roy. My goodness, seen most of them - you are suckers for punishment 😂.
I utilised 2020 to just work flat out on my video channel, as well as doing a heap of my son's stuff. He's worth a look - from his Contiki driving days to the USA to Australia. I've toured the world with him and never left my computer/lounge room 😅. You might like to check him out.

2021, I defied the pandemic and did the Cameron Corner run. That's probably the last of the feasible bucket list items for me, although Tasmania still beckons. One needs money to do these things, and there ain't a lot of that around ATM.
I'll bet you've got some stories to tell from your train driving days. I have just spent the last 17 months keeping an eye on my mate who lost his wife back then, and is having trouble handling it. He is a British steam enthusiast, and the demise of steam, and now coal (he was brought up in Annersley coal field), and that hasn't helped his demeanor.
There's a possibility that I could be doing Victoria next year - was supposed to happen this year, but life got in the way. I have a daughter over there who is insisting that I get there ... but I'm getting old and it just doesn't quite follow that it will just happen.
Meanwhile, I'm exploring little side roads for my Country Back Roads series ATM, to keep my hand in. Otherwise, I have tons of back catalogue archived, that I am working through.
Thanks for commenting and sharing your story, and for your support. Have a great festive season. Cheers, Laurie

@lauriekibblewhite hey Laurie. Yes we did. Our trip was from Darwin to streaky Bay. It was awesome. No booking so unfortunately missed out on a few places. School holidays.
But it was awesome, like any holidays not long enough.
