Born and bred living near Chester - le - St. Grew up in Perkinsville - Now a dual Brit -Aussie citizen living in Tasmania (as you do). Odd connection here, I met my future Aussie wife when she was working in Romania as a vice principal of an international ESL school in Bucharest ...but holidaying in northern England. My favourite pub will always be the Black Horse, but the Lambton worm and the Queens Head were always very close runner's up. I have bad memories of the Lambton arms ...got the c*** kicked out of me one night ...just drunk fools who decided to attack my mate and I.
Sorry to hear about your experience in the Lambton Arms. The Bridge has now reopened as a Mediterranean restaurant. Just come back from the Chester Moir which has been nicely refurbished. Thanks for watching.

Renew your passport you have to return to the UK? You could renew it at the British embassy in BUCUREȘTI?
Not possible now. Everything is done online, but only from the UK. A friend in the embassy had the same problem. Believe me it is very frustrating, but I don't have to worry for another 10 years and hopefully I will have a Romanian passport by then!
