I review the PRS Mark Holcomb SE Guitar. IMHO It's one of the best guitars priced under $1200.00. One of the best PRS guitars yet.

Went from jazzIII to prodigy's . I love that dusty graphite feel of a new one....the jazzIII feels like I'm holding a Lego now...😮
max grip changed my life and the master himself vanhhalen recommended them ive never gone back especially for speed picking so I'll giv a try on picks designed to not slip and materials with smart innovation but I need a little flex in my picks. think of it as alittle suspension over the railroad tracks .lol...
Just ordered the Rombo Jade and Horizon picks.
Awesome. You'll love them
Not the video we deserved, but the video we needed.
Dunlop Tortex .88 (the Green Pick) for me!
I switched to Dunlop Flow picks 2.0mm a couple of years ago. It made a big difference for me.
I used Dunlop .88mm Tortex Sharp picks for 2 decades. Tried a ton of other picks and always went back to them, until I bought the Swiss Picks 1.14mm Jason Becker Sharp Blue Cheese.
The holes in the Swiss picks save me the time of scoring the Dunlops with a razor blade for traction.
I used to use a chicken picks badazz iii 2.0 and loved them for a while, but I started playing more and found that I was wearing through them faster and at over $7 per pick I decided to look for other options. I settled on a dunlop tortex flow .88, and I drill 3 holes in them to get a better grip. It has a little more flex than the stiff chicken pick, but I've grown to like that snap, and they're much cheaper. Some of these other options look pretty cool though, might give them a try. Thanks for the vid!
BHL Guitar picks’s.
Luke Plectrums.
Winspear Pick’s.
👍🇦🇺
Cool. I just like collecting picks. They don't take up a lot of space.
I make glass picks.. I give them a slight bow and they just sit perfectly between the fingers.. I first thot they would be chirpy but surprisingly quite the opposite
I've loved the triangular 3 point Ernie Ball Prodigy picks ever since trying one. Lots of surface area for great grip.
Thanks for putting a light on this subject, guitars usually don't think of this, but it does affect your playing. I've been playing Pick Boys from Japan ,can you do a show on different brands of guitar strings if there's any difference? Because you're the best on these subjects
Thanks so much for the kind words and for the suggestion. I will respond to your comment in my next riffs and responses video which will air on Sunday
Howling monkeys are awesome , I have a couple, acoust attack are good as well. But I love Winspear
Black Jazz IIIs for life
I use Winspear plectrums
I use the Ernie Ball 2.0 prodigy picks, it is accurate and great for both jazz and metal!
The Aqua Dan's Guitar picks are awesome 😎
I really wanna try those!
Dunlop Flow and Flow Gloss or Hetfield Wolf picks for 8 gauge strings (YJM Strat)
Current favorite is V-Picks Snake Ghost Rim, both regular and Pointed versions.
I use regular picks but I put Velcro (hook portion) on each side of the pick for grip and feel. It's a simple life hack that really works.
Chicken Picks or bust!
You and me both!! I ordered some late last year and I dig em a lot!!
You forgot the new Machine Gun Kelly signature pick. “Your mom’s a bougie guitar pick” lol I like variety of guitar picks too - I have Black Carbon Fiber Jazz iii, some grey carbon fiber jazz iii, some red jazz iii, some Mick Thompson Jazz iiis, also the Jason Richardson Jazz iii, substitute my tongue or teeth occasionally
Haha love it
Dava for me , Bog street with the hole tends to spin on me.
Dunlop flows are my favorite. I actually prefer the Hetfield white fang flow pick 1.14. The new attak picks are too pointy, not a fan.
Does the white fang have any difference to the other flow picks? cause last time the black fang was just an ultex sharp
@@sirduckoufthenorth The white fang is ever so slightly more rounded with a slightly different edge than a standard flow. It also has a different grip that seems to stay better in my fingers. Not a huge difference but it is noticeable.
I guess I’m a boring, old school “boomer” type. 😂 (Even though I missed the boomer generation by 4 years). But I’ve been using your basic celluloid Fender 351 shape white heavy (sometimes medium pick since I started playing guitar at 13 years old. I’m 58 now. Never saw any reason to change. They just work for me. But of course, I’m really not that good of a player anyway. 😂 Although I do “modify” them by doing the old rub them on the carpet trick to sharpen the point a little.
I hated the Attack picks, way too pointy. I prefer the dunlop flow 2.0.
