Love this kind of thing! I've just taken the viewfinder crt tv out of an old camcorder and want to get a picture on it. I'm sure it's NTSC. Would you know how to connect my PAL vcr to it? Think i need some kind of system converter box, but not sure about tuning to the vcr channel either. Any help greatly app thanks.
Thanks. Been doing a bit o research myself. The cam was a sony ccd-trv11e bought from UK, so must be PAL based in fact. Had it all hooked up last night to my old dvd player. Was getting something on the screen when inputting the video signal, but something's not right - just a wash of whitey grey atm.
Afterthought: i don't know how the crt locks on to the dvd rf channel. That mismatch would explain the lack of picture. All the videos on yt they just seem to hook up and away they go..
The response time between the camera zooming in and out, and the transmission of that signal to the tv is amazing to see. It's almost instantaneous.

Back again - sorry - no the camcorder is NTSC based even though sold in uk. Ad usual i know nothing of what i talk about.

Yes they should work fine, the range would probably be a bit less, but should still work.
You need to make sure there is no components between them, some do and they can fry the transmitter - Just open it up and you can take a quick look
