Nice video, i got 2 of them but sadly the gpu is toast
Can you just put in a pro memory stick and put that in your computer instead of needing the base plate ?
Might’ve found the problem but not exactly a solution, everytime I plug in my mini usb 2.0 and then into my pc, the camera requests me to plug in an ac adapter. This means it’s needs a continual power source. At first that made no sense since it only gets power from the battery. Just watched another video that apparently showed it used to come with a battery with a cord attached that would then plug into an ac adapter and would then give it continual power. I can’t find that kind of battery mainly because I don’t know how to describe it for google to find it. Idk if this helps any of us get one step closer
i am having the same problem, tried to find some solution and found on Аliexpress something similar called "VW-VBG130 Dummy Battery" ordered it just now cost something like 20$. hope it works will update when it arrives.
i got the dummy battery, it changed nothing but i come to another solution just copy your HDD photos and videos to an SD card through the camera itself tip: format the SD card when you insert it for the first time through the camera
I’ve been trying forever to find a way to get videos off the HDD someone let me know if they figure it out
Where are you man you haven't uploaded for ages?
Hi, I know, I work nights and it's been tough for me. I have a lot more videos to come, I should be starting to upload regularly again as from next week. I have more time now.
Voltage needs to be higher to take a load.
That might have slipped my mind, yes the voltage will drop as it takes more load.
Not a quick look bro 😂
Excellent video
What is the phone, DC out and mic port mean and what do u put in it
I bought mine in 1975 for $175. TVs weren't allowed in my college dorm room, but it was so small I was able to sneak it in. It still works, but I haven't used it in decades. I'm moving, so it's getting donated, but I'm keeping my slightly larger JVC CX 610US CRT, which I bought in 1983 for $225, and used until 2013. It also still works.
Thanks for showing it off, I wanted to see if it had a DVD drive but it looks like that is only with the dock.

Hi! How do you get videos off the camcorder? (No SD card) thank you!
Hello got two m5. When I push the reccord button nonthing happens. And sometimes it shuts down when I try to get the tape out. How can i fix this? Thankful for help 😊
Hi.How do you get the pics and vids off the hard drive to the PC ? Thanks.
Cool video 😊😊
It's pretty cool the rf box adds the carrier the box boosts the siginal then the antenna sends it to the tv. The tv removes the carrier and gets the sync and color info and Bam! X box 360 being broadcast. I know the FCC has strict rules on that so what i do is connect a roku to a HDMI to AV convertor then watch 80s commercials on UA-cam on a 80s tv through AV
Interesting video. Years ago, they used to make video senders here in Australia, which made it possible to transmit analogue TV on VHF or UHF. Of course, the video senders have to be carefully tuned to avoid causing any interference to existing DTV channels, which also use both VHF and UHF frequencies here.
Cool. I have one of these that I got as a birthday present from my parent's when I turned 15. Or maybe it was when I turned 16. Not really sure. That would be 1982 or 1983. It needs new belts now, and the antenna is broken. I've tried to find a new antenna online, but I've not been able to find one of the right length fully retracted. Most are much shorter, some are longer. I'm curious to know if you have managed to source a correct antenna for yours. The RIF (Radio Interference Filter) switch at the back is to suppress interference when recording from AM radio. The reason is that the bias signal applied to the cassette tape during recording might in some situations interfere with the radio signal and cause a whisteling noise. Figuring out which setting works best is a matter of trial an error. It may vary depending on the radio station you're recording. In rare situations the switch might also help reduce interference when just listening to AM radio without recording anything. That's when two radio stations are transmitting on frequencies very close to each other, and one interferes with the station you're listening to. Who is recording from AM stations at this time and age anyway? The switch is pretty much redundant. The switch has no function/effect on FM listening or recording. I believe turn tables with both ceramic and magnetic cartridges should have a ground wire connected. At least all my turn tables have one, including those which came stock with a magnetic cartridge. I believe the reason the right speaker has a separat contact point for the speaker signal is to prevent the user from mounting the speakers upside down. That's my theory anyway. Without it, this would actually be possible if you flip the left and right speaker. As it is designed, it is still physically possible to install the right speaker upside down on th left side, but it won't be electrically connected. The left speaker can't be mounted upside down on the right side, because of the additional contact point sticking out from the main unit. PS: I still have the user manual for mine. If you're interested, I could scan it, and email it to you as a Pdf. Not that I think you need one, it doesn't tell you anything you don't already know.
Very helpful thanks.
What adaptor did you use to connect it to the console ?
Wow
The response time between the camera zooming in and out, and the transmission of that signal to the tv is amazing to see. It's almost instantaneous.
Hello! |'m struggling to upload the footage to my computer? can you help i have the A/v out to USB? and it's not showing up on the computer? Please help
Try the free software OBS studio, I use that one, it works for me.
Thank you so much!!!! I been looking for a video like this for so long! Ive had an old tube TV in my attic for years now and i have finally brought it 'Back to life' X
Good morning, I have the same equipment, everything works except the FM. Could you guide me? thank you so much!
Why is there a teddy bear in this video? Is this supposed to be Winnie the Pooh? 🤣
His name is Ted, he's the channel mascot, he's in every video.

I have a Sony Watchman TV
They're great little Tv's, I love mine.
good morning, how to connect the decoder instead of xbox to the device normally?
Hi, look at my other videos, I have 3 in total explaining how you connect to an old tv.
@@retrotechguardian4393 OK, I'LL SEE
Also buy HDMI TO RF with remote control (PAL-I, NTSC-M, PA-BG, PAL-DK) UHF CHANNEL 31 (EU) and VHF CHANNEL 3 (US) (Irish VHF PAL-I channel 3 / C , EU VHF channel 4)
I'll have a look for one of those
Do you know what the difference is between Sr32 and SR42? Thanks!
Hello my battery goes down so fast. Do you have 2 batteries or the person who sold me the camera scammed me in some way
Are you really expecting a 20 year old battery to hold up 😂 you gotta buy brand new batteries to get reliable performance.
@@bluerabbit1236 where am I supposed to buy new batteries, since they require an exact model that was manufactured 20 years ago. Like tell me
Yesss, I just won one, really like these.
Nice, Love them, This is one of my favourite items full stop.
Nice pc I have a dell i7 pc a bit like this its missing the dvd drive though.
Nice, was it supposed to have a dvd drive?
@retrotechguardian4393 Yes it's a dell xps something 27 inch screen. Don't need it any way. I put an ssd in some months back.
Yeah, I'm tempted to put an ssd in this old thing, but I don't really need the extra speed, I'll be showing the internals later this week.@@EastAngliaUK
This is awesome, I have a slightly older one in the loft.
Nice. I couldn't find too much info on this one.
Do you have the Sony Vaio VGC-LV150J?
Hey Bri, how can I get hold of you? I have loads of cool stuff, i'm buying all the time.
Hi, you can email me at 79victoriard@gmail.com cheers.

Thanks again, I'll take any new information on any of my videos.
My Fz 38 also has a Scratch on the Baseplate. Probably caused by a Tripod mount.
That would make sense, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks
Does this have aux or microphone input? Can i use my microphone with it?
Hi, I'll double check later today for you.
Hello! I have this camera. But i dont have a pc with any possible way to read the disc. Is it maybe possible to get an converter to usb? Or anyway at all to get the fotage to pc?
I thought you just finalised the disc on the camera settings to allow you to view on the PC, I will check that out for you over the next couple of weeks.
@@retrotechguardian4393 Thank you! would be nice to know how!
Muy buenas! Sabes como poder pasar los archivos al PC?

instead of an aerial, would bunny ears work?
Yes they should work fine, the range would probably be a bit less, but should still work.
You need to make sure there is no components between them, some do and they can fry the transmitter - Just open it up and you can take a quick look
Yes of course, I had forgotten that, thank you for pointing that out.@@RyanGonTV
I have one of these devices not sony model
I love them, I have a few now.
Did you ever replace the belt on the cassette? Would love to see your “future video” on that ;). ;)
@@mootzeroni Hi, I haven't yet, I will upload one in the next few weeks about it.
Great video, i did the same project, but I used a digital TV box that has RF output, which is channel 3 or 4. Of course, there is no video input on the digital TV box, but by connecting a video switch to the modulator chip video input pin, now I can switch between digital TV box or other input video, by using your idea, it works transmitting analog TV on channel 3 and 4. I got SONY Playstation 2.Thank you.😊
Thats a brilliant idea. I might have to try that one.
Hello. Thanks for the video!! Today I found a similar one in a charity shop, Seiko ER8100. It was only 2 £ . I knew it immediately, that it worth more..
Hi, did you have a look what was smoking? I have one of these VCRs that does exactly the same thing and I'd like to know how you got yours working. Thanks.
