HI Dads That Cook, just found this video in Feb. 2024. I hope your beautiful son is safe and doing well in college. This video did 2 things, I'm 71 yrs old and new to low carb & gluten free, so your recipe looks great. But what made me cry (really Sir) is seeing a father showing genuine love for his child & cooking for his family. I didn't have a husband like you, you are a rare gem in today's world. God bless and keep you and your family strong. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for posting ! My three year old son is extremely allergic to wheat and dairy. I’ll be trying this with fish as well when I’m making the chicken!
It's a great recipe and we really enjoyed it ourselves! super tasty... you wouldn't know it's Gluten Free or Dairy Free... I cook most of our food Gluten Free so you can find a lot of that on my site dadsthatcook.com/recipes
Hi, This was a fun video to watch! You seem like a great dad with a great 👍🏻 son. So I was wondering about the Sunchokes. I’ve seen them before, but I’ve never tried them because I didn’t know how to fix them. So, do you peel them before baking them, or do you just bake them as is? Since you poured them out of a package, I couldn’t tell what they looked like. I’ve only seen them in the produce section before. Anyway, please let me know if there is any prep to the fresh ones. Thanks 😊
"That looks tasty" lol. 😂 That chicken was super crispy, and I can't believe it's not plain flour. Good luck to your son going off to college. I've got one that's about a year and a half away, and I'm already freaking out 😱
Thank you Resa... yes this was super tasty and I could't believe it was GF.. Kids grow up fast, going to be strange not having him around! Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it! Cheers, Jason
Yes it does! I made the correction in the recipe and description awhile ago! Can’t change the vid tho... thanks for watching, much appreciated! Cheers Jason
Didn't show off the chicken legs it's questionable that they actually cooked through. Cup for cup is mostly rice flour. Rice flour tends to burn quickly when frying. So while you may have gotten the color I don't think it was cooked through.
Thanks for you inquiry! Yes it was totally cooke through to 165* internal temp... I like to use an instant probe to make sure everything it well cooked! Try the recipe and see if you like it, let me know your results... Cheers, Jason
I like your recipe however, I am very gluten sensitive. That means not only do I need to use gluten free flours (almond, rice, etc) I also need to have certified gluten free seasonings. I hate this allergy.
Sorry to hear about your allergies with Gluten/Wheat... It is a pain especially if you have heightened issues. I do have a lot of recipes on here that are Gluten Free since my wife is GF. You'll just have to use products and spices that work for you.. Thanks for watching and following! Cheers, Jason
The definition of dairy includes foods produced from the milk of mammals, such as cows and goats ( 1 ). Basically, it refers to milk and any food products made from milk, including cheese, cream, butter, and yogurt.
Yes, you are right... good catch! I do love my Cup4Cup... probably need to use Bob Redmill or alternative for Gluten Free Flour.... Thanks for the heads up! Cheers

I appreciate that!
Dude you're so smart with that peanut oil not only does it up the temperature tolerance but it does give great flavor.
Definitely helps flavor for sure... temp is a must!

Do i need to add to the chiken bread crumbs or just leave it with flour and cook?
Just the flour
This was a great recipe. FYI that flour has dairy in it. At least the last time I checked.

Can we use flax seed instead of egg?!

Aren't eggs dairy?
