Now disabled, I no longer can sleep under the stars surrounded by the guardians of the night. I once was an avid camper and outdoor survivalist. These days, this video is the lullaby that helps me sleep through nights of pain and poor sleep. It is the most realistic and natural video of the night sounds that I miss so much. thank you for this blessing.
I love this sound. It reminds me of when I came home to my front yard with my brother when I was like 9. My legs were burning from playing hide and seek in the freshly cut grass. When coming home all I could smell was the beautiful smell of dinner being made and also the smell of grass. But my favourite thing was to sit in the grass and listen to the crickets and look at the sky with small bats flying around while the moon and the stars start to slowly appear. My mind would always drift off into the best thoughts not knowing what life problems are, then suddenly being shook from hearing my mom call out my name to go eat dinner :)
Me too. I am in my 50s. I grew up without AC. We had a "whole house fan" (not an attic fan. Sorry for any confusion) though. Just 15 minutes on and the attic and our bedrooms were very comfortable
I know most people will over glorify their child hood, but, I had SO many of THESE memories growing up with fireflies and nature’s ambiance all around me. Camping outside with my family. Walks home through the neighborhood at night from a friends house. The feeling I get when just listening to this, it represents feelings and emotions I could never come close to putting into words. I’m so grateful that so many others understand how something so simple as a firefly can be so powerful. Blessed to be along side all of you in this adventure called Life.
Nothing wrong with glorifying what is good. It's a blessing. People glorify negativity of today all the time. Why not glorify something great. Some things need to be brought back and shed light in today's world too.
Bro you read my brain😢 in our country pakistan the sound u mentioned is always there but now i am in Qatar 🇶🇦 and miss that vibe i used to sleep at the roof of the house when the light goes of and the whole street went black and i saw alot of stars byee 👋😢 😢😢😢
Ever since moving to the city, sleeping has never been the same. I remember the hot summer days when I’d go out and play with the kids in my village all day until late evening, coming home to my mother cooking dinner, mosquitos biting at my legs, the dog barking a greeting. Sometimes in the nights it’d be so hot you could stay out on the porch and listen to the distant sound of crickets echoing, some distant dog barking, trees and hills around you. And the stars- the stars were the most beautiful- not hidden by light pollution, but visible, almost like they were touchable, you could almost feel the texture of the universe through them. And on especially clear nights, the moon would become the sun. The smells too, were unique. Grass, flowers, trees, all that fresh, pure nature scent surrounding you with a light breeze that cooled you off almost lovingly. Man, I really miss those times. They were simpler back then.
You have a special way with words and describing, love how you said the moon becomes the sun 😎 you should write a book and title it " Ever Since " based on the life of living under the stars compared to living under the pollution, it would be a BEST SELLER 😊
Listen to this every night at bedtime, it’s like camping! It instantly calms my nerves and washes away the stressors of the day. Has been very helpful for my PTSD.
This makes me think of when I’d spend the night at my best friend’s house in grade school and I always slept on the carpet floor underneath her window. Not that she didn’t offer me her bed, but I chose to sleep there because could hear the nature so closely, and from down there looking up I could see the gentle blue haze of light peeking through the bottom of the curtains. Sometimes I would consciously stare at that little gap until my eyes got closer and closer to closing and I fell asleep. I haven’t been there in 6 years. And I didn’t realize how much that meant to me until just now.
Thanks for the happy memories! This 60-year-old woman is now a young girl in central Ohio again. My childhood home was by a small creek (crik as my grandmother called it) and it sounded just like this outside my bedroom window at night in the summer.
your words took me back to childhood too: to north carolina nights alive with insect sounds. me and my hranny and mama watchin the moon rise huge in the sky there. Moon's much smaller in th north...( northern idaho)

Of course these sounds are incredibly soothing, but what I love about this is that it's not a computer drafted scene of flashing "fireflies," but are the actual beautiful, mesmerizing flashes of the real thing. I haven't seen this before in other videos. BEAUTIFUL! And the sound of the insects is one of the best I've heard that sounds like my childhood home in the summertime in Massachusetts. Thank you for this!
These are real fireflies and not computer generated ones. In fact, nothing in my channel is computer generated. Consider the idea, that these fireflies live in the Balkans and maybe they flicker more rapidly compared to the ones you saw in your childhood.

I like this one best because it's the most relaxing and realistic! In the warm months, I open the bedroom windows to the screens and let in the fresh night air. One can hear the crickets and other night insect sounds, an occasional bird, and just a soft rustling in the air. For me, that's calming and soothing. It's the coldest part of winter here now and everything's closed up tight. At night, I put this track on and it feels like "summertime" again! Very pleasant and relaxing!
These have become a staple for my self care and mental health. When I’m reading? Going to bed? I grew up in the south so it’s super comforting to be able to listen whenever.
The sounds of my nature we back in the Mountains of Philippines. I am so blessed to experienced the beauty of nature. Now that I am here in the US and 4 years now I am crying, sad, home sick and brings back so much memories .. 😭😭😭. My parents are farmer and so these sounds are always my background every single time. Thank you so much and you did a good job..
I enjoy your videos so much. This one is incredibly soothing... I have been having serious trouble getting my parrot to sleep at night for some reason, but last night I let this play and he was calmer and more relaxed than I have seen for nearly two years worth of struggling nights and heartbreaking feather chewing. I covered him and let the crickets sing softly.. I could hear him peacefully grinding his beak in contentment and he wasn't flicking his wings or wanting out.. I was so astonished. Music to my ears like no other. Nothing has worked this well and it made me so happy it nearly brought me to tears. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless.
I live in the country and across the highway is a pond. Love hearing the frogs during spring and summer. And also the whipporwills. Love sitting outside in the evenings and listening to all of natures sounds. Wouldn't trade it for city life for nothing.
I grew up in nature sleeping to crickets, then as an adult I lived in many big cities for 30 years. I now gratefully live in the Redwoods by the river. So many people live in big cities these days where all the beautiful night sounds are drowned out by the never ending dull roar.
I'm always so surprised to see/hear that people actually know of my country and it just boggles me how in this huge world, people from all over come to visit and enjoy their time here
This makes me smile. I too live far from home and browsed through multiple cricket sound effect videos. My next move was to search 'European cricket sound effect' but thankfully I found this and now I feel like home... which is Romania btw :)
I listen to this song of crickets every night. Their lullaby puts me to sleep with a soft and gentle song. Living in Oregon and seeing the sky reminds me of how small I really am and though I am in my later years I know in the scheme of life and universe I am still young. Thank you for this tape
I am a bit late with my comment but when I watch the stars I often think that we are made of star dust. It's incredibly soothing to me, knowing that every single atom of my body, of the Earth and everything we see in the sky is star dust, and we are all connected like that.
Crazy, I have frogs and crickets and a seasonal creek by my living room window, but my bedroom faces another direction! Whoever built this place in the early 70;s sucs lol. Now I have to come to my bedroom computer to sleep and relive whats ACTUALLY going on from my living room window! wth . . house was built for views and ambiance from the living room only. I was lucky enough to live in Lake Tahoe and Florida as well. so cracking fire and wind along with ocean and thunder sounds sooth me. Trust me when i say, . . . the sound of silence is POWERFUL! When snow falls and blankets the area it is so so silent and beautiful. Snow is powerful in soundlessness.
This is the sound of my childhood summer nights. I spent a few holidays with my great grandparents in a small balkan town. Everything there was so pure and simple, I could not stop being amazed. Quite sad I will never be able to live like that in these times.
Makes me think of a girlfriend I had who had a terrarium in her attic house in the city center with crickets who were food for her tarantula. One day the terrarium fell over and spending the night with her was like being in the country side hearing these lovely cricket sounds all over the attic. Oh yeah... The tarantula was also housed in that terrarium and; besides discovering it's old tarantula-shell behind a closet much later; the pretty large spider itself was never to be found in her appartment ever again... Magic times. Much thnx for these recordings n visuals ; D
I love this. Haven't seen lightning bugs in years. I live in a big city now & don't get the chance to see them anymore. When I move into my new house, it will be surrounded with nature like this. I miss living in the country like that. This brings me back to my childhood. When it was peaceful & the sights were so beautiful. Thank you for posting! 🙂👍💖
I love this recording. not all cricket recordings sound the same but these crickets have the perfect blend of peaceful calmness to keep me asleep throughout the night because even when I wake up these crickets help me fall back to sleep. there are a lot of nature recordings out there that don’t do anything for me but this one is so calming and effective. it’s nature’s sleeping pill!
This is what I remember sleeping to as a kid upstate New York. I miss this so much, and I can tell this is real audio recording, not a fake CGI. Thank you!
I’m near Boston. It’s getting colder, close to freezing. Snow coming this week. I was putting our summer furniture, etc., into storage for the winter. I was sad. Six months until Spring. Thank you TheSilentWatcher... for lifting me up, again, with another fabulous video. It’s going to be a very good night❣️👏🏻🎁🌌

I live in northern Minnesota! I miss hearing this sound at night by the lakes too as soon as May comes, it's when it all starts! I work near a pond and can hear all the crickets now that it's close to summer. Leaving on vacation overseas next week. All i hear is traffic from cars going by in my apartment and noises from my neighbors. I have trees and live a block away from the lake but can't hear anything from there in my apartment building since there's roads except birds singing in the morning. I wish to move if I can afford it someday so I can hear the sounds of nature more. The sounds of the loons are beautiful here.
In Dallas as kids we called them lightening bugs. So many sounds of nature ! Crickets, woodpeckers chickens and many more birds. Thanks so much for bringing childhood back.
Miss this sound I'm glad I've found it . We grew up in the country and had a pond down from the house and I would fall asleep on the warm nights with the windows open to this sound of the crickets and frogs . It was heaven ❤
I am from Oregon and got my first horse when I was 9 and I would stay out as late as I could on the summer night riding bareback through the tall grass and getting off and eating blackberries and listening to the Crickets and I always remember hitting cold spots in the warm summer night air it was very cool. I would love to see Ireland and meet the cool people there! :-)
I had tried two other cricket videos. This is the best sound quality. The other two had obvious looping issues. You could hear the crickets, and then for a millisecond there no sound. And then you could hear cricket again. It just kept repeating it over and over. That didn't work for me. I love this video! Thank you!
We were on holiday to my mom this summer she lives in the village now. Every night we heard crickets. My son who is autistic fall a sleeps in 15min. Every night he's asking for crickets sound since that.. It really works amazing. Before he was falling a sleep 1-2 hours. Thank you for this video ❤
Ah. The mesmerizing sound of crickets. It's what indicates middle of summer nights in northern hemisphere. I love listening to nature sounds in real nature. When I do not have such privilege, it is then when I seek this sound recording to reconnect with nature through visualization and meditation. This helps me calm down, prepare myself for sleep, and inevitably fall asleep. Thank you so much for this!
Love this one. Some of the other cricket sound videos are too “busy” sounding, making them more distracting than relaxing. This one is just right. Turn the volume down a tad and it sounds as if they’re right in the room.
As a teen in the 1980's I used to sit in a patch of grass behind my building by the railroad tracks in the summertime with my friends and just soak in the ambiance of crickets. Sometimes we'd just stay until the sun came up and we talked about life. Makes me realize how wonderful life was then & how peaceful and happy everyone was around me. Every time I hear crickets, I think of those summer nights back in 1981 & the dreams and aspirations we all had.
I love this cricket sound so much. This sound refreshes my mind n makes me feel like I'm living in the world of peacefulness where mother nature is ruling everything without any human being. Besides It is reminding me the old days when I used to visit my grandparents' house in vacations. They died almost 14-15 years ago. Now I'm missing them so much 😢😢
i remember this, as a little kid we had a huge field in the back and i would go lie in the middle of it at night looking at the stars and hearing the sounds around me.
Whoever put te this on UA-cam, super thanks. I miss these sounds and i soo much love them. Sounds like paecefullnes and home . Ever sooo thankfull. Bless everyone here. Thanx
There are 160 species of firefly in North America. Sadly, one third of them are nearing extinction because of loss of habitat, pesticides and light pollution. :o(
Reminds me of when I and my sister were 8 and 4 driving for our summer vacation from California to Ohio and down into Missouri to visit my grandparents. The sound of the crickets coming through the open windows was such a soothing sound. And the fireflies were so amazing to watch. But back then I would have appreciated a toilet instead of an outhouse. Things were so much different on the farm as to the city. Very much appreciated learning about farm animals and what we get from them. Sitting on the porch of that old shack with a long dirt road driveway. Different way of living than the city. Only negative thing of vacations was driving for 3 days. But when we hit them ole dirt roads I new we were close. What awesome memories. That’s just where this video takes me. Wish I was young again and my parents were still here. Still hold the love of it all… ❤😊
Whenever I want to escape this tired mean reality. I escape to the sounds of Fireflies and Crickets! Whoever made this soundtrack, thank you so much. Also thanks to the Creator who forknew that I would love this!
This reminds me of the weekend I spent in Springlake NJ back in 1988. The adults were drunk and singing Irish drinking songs at the kitchen table so us kids (16 years old) took our pillows and blankets and camped out back in the grass, next to the lake. It took forever to fall asleep as we were excited to be "camping" and coming from Las Vegas we weren't used to the sounds of nature. Well, sleep was happening, the adults must have passed out from exhaustion finally. Nothing but a slight breeze through the trees, frogs in the lake, crickets, a train horn and a scream...the 3 of us shot right up! There was no explanation, we were hoping that it was just mischievous teenagers playing a creepy prank...
It takes me back to my youth, when there was no traffic, no computers and no phones. In the summer, with the window open, I heard exactly these sounds. Magical. These vibrations are healing. Listen to them.
When I was little we lived in a converted carriage house. It was one story and had only one huge living room, two bedrooms, a bath and a kitchen. With the huge living room came a huge fireplace. In the winter the pops soft sound of flickering flames would lull me to sleep. When spring hit, the large windows in the bedrooms were flung open. They were two glass panel doors. You swung them open to either side. The screen kept the bugs out. At night, this is what I would listen to. They sang to me through the cool night air. Now that I'm grown I don't ever hear that sound again. Even during the rise of the cicadas, still doesn't match the sound of this recording. It's perfect. It's peaceful. It helps me remember the magic of my youth. Thank you.
This is also a great transcendental meditation video. This is the closest thing that I hear when in meditation. Except the vibration of my soul is a shrill, continuous, and a much higher frequency. The crickets, are the bass chorus of my own soul vibration. It is a great combination for inner peace, where I go to my inner Spirit!
This brings back beautiful memories of my childhood back in Mexico. I remember during summer nights after the sun set my brother and I would always go to the backyard full of big fruit trees and we would love playing catching fire flies and this was exactly the sounds we would hear while playing at the back yard during those summer nights. And today listening to this Audio takes me back to those nights in my dreams. 😴🤤. ✨🦗🦗🦗🌙🌌🎶🎵🎼❇️
I have to tell you how much I love this video. Every single night, I turn on a video on my tv for while I sleep, because if I wake up from a bad dream or something, I can see something pretty when I open my eyes. The only problem is that the videos I turn on quickly change between scenes and the sudden change in brightness makes it hard to sleep. But not this one!! Your transitions between scenes is perfect, and your brightness is exactly what I’m looking for! Thank you so much! You have one new subscriber because of how much I love this video. 🥰🥰🥰
See, this is what the created soundscapes don't get right. There's a natural rhythm to real crickets, they're not strident unless you're really too close. (And yes, a single cricket trapped in my bedroom nearly drove me mad one night. Up close and personal, those guys are LOUD.) Silent Watcher, you've done it again.

I grew up in nature sleeping to crickets, then as an adult I lived in many big cities for 30 years. I now gratefully live in the Redwoods by the river. So many people live in big cities these days where all the beautiful night sounds are drowned out by the never ending dull roar.
Reminds me of sleeping with my windows open at night in the spring time and getting a whiff of night time air!!
This. THIS is the kind of cricket sounds I’ve been looking for. Thank you so very much.
Glad you like it! :)
Same!
Agreed!
I agree. Perfect
Me too.
That sounds like Bulgaria at summer its is so nice to feel at home though we are living very far away from it
It is Bulgaria :)
Thank you for sharing 🙏❤️
Lol we have the same thing here by the reservoir.
Must of been the same person that built mine, 10 years later and over here in Australia, lol
I like that it's not too busy. Very natural. Ty
Because the sound is natural :)
It’s perfect. It’s all natural.
Thank you for appreciating! :)
Loving this thx a bunch
Cheryl, hold on. Soon, it's gonna be spring again. Warmest Hugs.
I’m on cape
The best part of Summer 😊❤❤
Reminds me of summers growing up in Minnesota by the lake. Absolute heaven on earth!!!!!!!! No better sound or feeling! Omg!
As narrow minded as one can be. IVE enjoyed these naturesque audios for a number of years.A college FM station used to transmit ocean sounds due in part that it was more cost efficient than shutting things down and reboot them early every day.School was close to my home and after my kids told me about the every night ocean I was floored.Havong lived on the beach in central Calif,I'd grown to love the crashing surf and occasional midnight sea birds calling.
Of course nowadays they stream it.
KCEA ,Atherton,Menlo Park california.Alwats commercial free and lovable 24 / 7.Good to be home..thank you, each and all of everyone.Kcea ya in my dteams.#BonZjR
Would you be my friend
Looks like everyone’s here for the nostalgia
nah im here for a game that im making :/
@@SquareBoi12 oh great, what kind of game? I'm interested in gamedev :)
I'm here cause I'm training my lizard to know that when he hears this noise it's time to eat
More stuff that masks my tinnitus, and it's one of your videos again! Thanks, you're the best!
Thank you :)
@Christina Reynolds when you constantly hear ringing in your ear in silent places it's honestly a nightmare
It's like hitting a musical Triangle instrument, and then the ring
N E V E R STOPS
In Dallas as kids we called them lightening bugs. So many sounds of nature ! Crickets, woodpeckers chickens and many more birds. Thanks so much for bringing childhood back.
Miss this sound I'm glad I've found it . We grew up in the country and had a pond down from the house and I would fall asleep on the warm nights with the windows open to this sound of the crickets and frogs . It was heaven ❤
This takes me back to my youth when we lived in Texas.
Beautiful Thriller Fireflies 💫💫💙💙Beautiful Cricket Insects Sound 💫💫💙💙💖💖🤗🤗

Simply amazing. The sound, the video, the tiny flashes of the fireflies. Thank you for your work. ASMR at its best.
Thank you too! 🙏😊
This is perfect for treating my Tinnitus with my bone conducting headset. Rinses anxiety and tinnitus with PTSD away 💕🌸
Hey Fredrik can you tell me what brand your headphones are, are you happy with them?
please don't ever delete this 💛
Sound's of me home in Galway Ireland 🍀 grew up on Horse Farm riding at nite , all I hear is this Makes me home sickness go away lovely ✨💚 Thank you Xx
VERY CALM AND SOOTHING/ LOVE THE SOUND OF CRICKET'S/ NATURE.
These sounds have a gentle soothing quality. Perfect, even for a baby.
I had tried two other cricket videos. This is the best sound quality. The other two had obvious looping issues. You could hear the crickets, and then for a millisecond there no sound. And then you could hear cricket again. It just kept repeating it over and over. That didn't work for me. I love this video! Thank you!
I can remember sitting outside on those warm summer nights listening to this for hours.
Bulgarian forest in our bedrooms? Yes, please. We'd like to ... :)
This is the most wonderful sound in the world…thank you
🙏😊
We were on holiday to my mom this summer she lives in the village now. Every night we heard crickets. My son who is autistic fall a sleeps in 15min. Every night he's asking for crickets sound since that.. It really works amazing. Before he was falling a sleep 1-2 hours. Thank you for this video ❤
Very happy to hear it! 🙏😊
This is a part of my regular night time routine. Thankyou from Cyprus.
Thank you! :)
Thank you for your comment and appreciation! :))
Would you be my friend
We're expecting 5cm of snow tonight....I needed crickets tonight for sure! Thanks, from Newfoundland.
yeah.. this is bringing back old memories.. nostalgia hits me hard, especially during some hard times in my life.. thanks i guess
Try to take comfort that you are not alone.
I love this. Brings me back to good times, when I was going through the worst times.
Keep fighting brother, BTW what memories? (If u don't mind telling that ofc)
Very peaceful maybe nostalgia. A simpler time less stress.
Love this one. Some of the other cricket sound videos are too “busy” sounding, making them more distracting than relaxing. This one is just right. Turn the volume down a tad and it sounds as if they’re right in the room.
Glad you enjoyed! It's a real-life recording :)
As a teen in the 1980's I used to sit in a patch of grass behind my building
by the railroad tracks in the summertime with my friends and just soak in
the ambiance of crickets. Sometimes we'd just stay until the sun came up
and we talked about life. Makes me realize how wonderful life was then &
how peaceful and happy everyone was around me.
Every time I hear crickets, I think of those summer nights back in 1981 &
the dreams and aspirations we all had.
Oh man,,, thank you I've been looking for this version sound crickets for long time
I love this cricket sound so much. This sound refreshes my mind n makes me feel like I'm living in the world of peacefulness where mother nature is ruling everything without any human being. Besides It is reminding me the old days when I used to visit my grandparents' house in vacations. They died almost 14-15 years ago. Now I'm missing them so much 😢😢
I miss grandparents very much as well
It always seems grandparents will be with us forever, but then they depart. Forever in our hearts, though, still❤
Putted on my stars projector light while im playing this looking up on my bed feels like im laying in the quite grass field at night
LOVE that thank you for sharing
I crave for that right now I need this corona to chill and for summer to be here😔
Thanks for the idea
i remember this, as a little kid we had a huge field in the back and i would go lie in the middle of it at night looking at the stars and hearing the sounds around me.
Stop scrolling and go to sleep.
How do u know

There are 160 species of firefly in North America. Sadly, one third of them are nearing extinction because of loss of habitat, pesticides and light pollution. :o(
Nature is so beutifull!!!💚🌿🌳
Bulgaria sounds lovely 💚
I escape to the sounds of
Fireflies and Crickets!
Oh what fun : ) The scream may have been raccoon, an owl, or wild cat of sorts.
It takes me back to my youth, when there was no traffic, no computers and no phones. In the summer, with the window open, I heard exactly these sounds. Magical. These vibrations are healing. Listen to them.
Goodnight.
Sweet Dreams.
🌬🌠❣🙏
I love this one it really helps me to sleep
I listened to a bunch of cricket sounds and yours was the exact right pitch and rhythm I associate with night. Nice job!
Would you be my friend
Hands down TOP quality sound here 👍🏿💯
When I was little we lived in a converted carriage house. Thank you.
Sounds like a wonderful place to live :))
😴🤤. ✨🦗🦗🦗🌙🌌🎶🎵🎼❇️
Fun fact, fireflies actually blink rather fast. They don't fade, they blink. The representation here is accurate.
Best sleepy time music out there!
This put me right to sleep
A warm summer night. Nostalgic ❤❤❤❤❤

A really soothing video that I listen while working.
Mixing this with a 12 hours fireplace sound is godlike.
I love cricket so much that make me go to sleep
Thank you God for the gift of Life
Every night I fall asleep listening to this 💙
All I need to hear ... The sound of LIFE and LOVE
And I have to tell you how happy your comment makes me. Thank you! 🙏😊♥️
Anna Inspain totally. I live in the boonies surrounded my forest and swamp and this is exactly how it sounds .
