Reach for it is my favorite George Duke funk song, I’m a senior citizen now ( just on the outside-haha!) this gets every part of me movin’ and grooving’ Great post, thanks!
It was about 1977 on the campus of Oklahoma University when I first heard this. Of course them football players had the best audiophile systems in their rooms. And they had the new cars to ride in and every evening after chow, me and one the guys on injured reserve would ride out in his new Cutlaus. George was a popular man along with George Clinton, EWF, Ohio Players, and don’t forget Lakeside, and BT Express. Those were the good days. No telling where everybody at, but what good times. Omg!!!! I need to wake up to this EVERY MORNING! As a matter of fact, we all do. We'd have no wars, arguments about political issues, religion....we could be sensible and negotiate peacefully and with love!! We need more of this. THANKS for posting.
This brings bittersweet memories for me as I sat in with George Duke in Richmond, VA in June of 2003. We played Reach For It. Playing my childhood Hero's piano onstage as he narrated was surreal! Continue to RIP Sir Duke!
The Late GEORGE DUKE and Jazz Legend Bassist STANLEY CLARKE So this is Jazz Maybe I Do Like Jazz Music..Cause I'm Loving This.Love& Peace 😁😎 luv ya byo eJ
George Duke played with one of George Clinton's biggest influences Frank Zappa. Back in there 90's when George spent most of the show off doing other things he would come out to I am the slime. I think when they introduced him last time I saw them a couple years ago they played it also.
I miss him. He always brought the Funk to concerts If you weren't dancing something was wrong 😂😂❤

c'est dommage de ne jamais filmer le bassiste, au premier morceau, alors qu'il fait tout le boulot
