    Where I live, you don’t need a permit to have an alarm siren hooked up…

    there are three things you can do do make the vista alarm system into a smart system. first off if your panel says vista 10 or 20 SE than you need to up grade to a vista 15 or 20 p you can buy them on Ebay or Amazon. if you already have a vista 15 or 20p than you are up to date. you can have profession alarm monitoring or self monitoring for free with eyezon it is a security alarm adapter that will allow remote controlling from any smartphone. do not remove this alarm system it is a very good one

      the keypads do not matter to eyezon you can keep your whole entire system and use it as intended. all eyezon does is take what ever happens on your alarm system and transport it to your phone the service is free but it wont dial 911 for you. and you can keep all of your existing equipment. so to answer your question yes you can still use the 6100 series keypads. my recommendations would be to actually get one more keypad for like a bedroom or for the front door you can get the 6160 or another 6150

      one more thing is if you want to get professional monitoring you can go to alarm grid and get there monitoring too. if you want to you can get total conect 2.0 plans which allow the use of cameras, remote monitoring, self monitoring and professional monitoring. No im not a sales rep

    Oh, if you think the steady tone is loud, u should hear the siren, its at least 5 times louder… Also what do u mean by u need a permit for the siren…

      @@seantheenthusiast9234 Oh that is interesting to hear, but completely reasonable ig. I reactivated an alarm in our detached garage since it was used as an office during construction and I set up a siren, which I do not have a permit, since in the state of Texas, you’d need one only if monitored. But if the police were called because of the siren, I would get a bigger fee, but I am not sure if i would get it the first three times, but I am glad to make sure that u are following these regulations. If I may ask, which state are u in

    the reason it didn’t go into alarm (at the beginning) is because it’s not on instant (I think).

    How do I reconnect the wires inside

    • @seantheenthusiast9234
      @seantheenthusiast9234  Рік тому

      It's pretty simple, you follow the wiring diagram and every terminal is a screw that you tighten down on the wires. If you're having trouble finding which wire goes to which you can have somebody take the black and red leads from another zone or device and cross them together while you find which terminal has a closed circuit using a multimeter on continuity at the panel. If you're just trying to turn your old alarm system back on there's a tan plastic box with a male plug on it that'll match the panel color, plug that into an outlet and your system should turn on.
