There's an aritech at a club I used to go to i came back a week later and the aritech 582 was replaced with a pyronix meq blue pir but there's still one in the hallway!
Microwave sensors still seem to be used for building automation (HVAC controls), my local university requires them for new projects. Do they have any advantage over PIRs? Honeywell ( Ex-Or ) make them for the UK market, they also make PIR sensors to automate urinal flushing!
I put this unit outside to detect cats (my cat sprinkler system) as I thought this would detect cats easily but it didn't. The normal LED at the bottom I changed to an infrared LED so that it would be noticeable by the CCTV camera that overlooked it. The hole in the front lens was for a secondary LED (this time BLUE) for normal walk testing of unit. Too many ideas... I can never leave anything alone to work as normal! Then I had to silicone the whole thing. Changed it to a Redwall PIR in the end...worked much better.
Ah, that's just a speaker in a box! that's it, it's normally connected to the speaker output on the control panel that you're using and the control panel generates the noises.
Gosh I remember watching this back in the day I didn’t realize it was you guys doing these videos I’d love to see a more updated video of these
Very informative. Thanks for sharing. :)
