What is your dream car and why?
Despite the $63,000 price tag its still $7000 cheaper than buying it in the UK. I've bought one similar spec HSE R-Dynamic in UK that was £51,800 thats $71,700!!!! How can a UK brand be cheaper in the States, ridiculous.

The tray over the cup holders is great! I don't have drinks in the car, and can't stand cup holders as they are just a collecting spot for dust, fluff and debris. Cover it up I say... Best thing you can do!

Oh boy.... That is a tough choice. I think I do like the design, overall look and feel of the Discovery. However I like the technology more in the GLB. If I put myself into a long term situation I would go Discovery. It feels more utility, GLB definitely feels more car like.

That has been a complaint of JLR media center for many years now. If you can get by with the delayed responses from time to time, I find it to be well done otherwise.
My wife just purchased one and we didn't find it to lag as much.
I've got a test drive and love this car, but I don't like the "delay" of acceleration after I press the gas paddle, especially when starting on green light. There's a "customizable dynamic mode" option and seems it can make the gas paddle response more sensitive, I see that your car has this option, how do you think about this optional mode and would you recommend it?
The delayed acceleration is the lack of displacement in the motor. The power does not kick in until the turbo kicks in. The dynamic mode is not going to bring a dramatic difference in this car, especially that initial off the line feel. Dynamic will hold gears,make the pedal feel more responsive however it does not completely transform the SUV.
Performance On Wheels Thanks for the explanation, I also tried BMW X3 28i, the sport mode makes x3's pedal much more sensitive than normal mode, just wondering if the dynamic mode would make similar difference on this SUV. The Discovery I tried is P250.
I did not think much of the dynamic mode. I would agree the Germans do a much better job of transforming the car in the driving modes offered.
@@PerformanceOnWheels Thanks again. This Discovery Sport is about $15k cheaper than BMW x3 30i in China and Audi Q5 sucks IMO, I probably would go for Discovery sport, and have that Dynamic mode option to see how it works for the throttle/wheel and other things Land Rover says it'd change :)

Personal opinion would be the Evoque. More Luxury driven. Better styling. Obviously very similar vehicles.

Not sure if any adaptive cruise will pick up a stop light. It works from a signal bounced off a vehicle in front. If no queing traffic at the light the system can't find an object to bounce the signal off.
You are correct it would not work for stoplights. That would be a self driving system
You guys are right. I don't think the Disco is worth it. They are way too expensive for what you get, at least in MHO. My Dream car Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Discovery sport or Bmw X3 or Audi Q5 or Mercedes GlC? In comfort, ride quality. Not fast riding. I bought Disco Sport for 42k$. This is good choice? Better than Rav4/kodiaq? Thank you
If you are talking in the lowest trim levels. Imo the discovery sport is A. The most unique B. Most capable in its standard form. If your goal or focus is sporty I would say BMW. Focus is luxury? GLC (although basic trim is lame) mix of sport and luxury Q5. Reliability? Rav4. If you start talking higher trim levels with current model year. My option changes. Discovery sport become less appealing.
Your guys should buy some decent mics.
