My take on his preaching in " nasa legal age na siya " is that Pastor Ed Lapiz took on the road less travelled. Lumihis siya sa kinagawian, kasi yun naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit si Jesus ay isinugo , ang ibalik ang kanilang paniniwala sa tunay na Diyos. Sa panahon ni Jesus Christ na prevalent ang Judaism, walang naglakas ng loob na mag-question sa authority ng mga Pahrisees, and those who dares to question them are of the Devil. But remember the devil is the ancient deceiver. Nauna pa siya kina Eba at Adan, at yun nga nadeceive niya yung dalawa. And the end result is what we have right now. Oo, maganda yung mga preachings nya before. I am one of those blessed by them. Pero kailangan pa rin pag usapan yung mga maling doctrina. I have an uncle who was a pastor and so gifted in preaching, but now he became extremist, turned from Christianity, and followed Judaism.

It was clear that Pastor Ed gave emphasis to read the Old Testament. He is right the moment he encourages us to read the gospels and to read them by heart... the story about the blind man that Jesus healed on a Sabbath day... I think Pastor Ed specifically talking about an isolated case... that even if the blind man don't know who is the Son of the higher God is still this man's faith saved him and made him able to see. Made him able to see the light and grace, while religious/ righteous people condemned Jesus for doing things on a Sabbath day. It's true that having to listen to church people countless of times and feel nothing within you is a kind of darkness, spirituality I mean... Pastor Ed is talking by experience and he made it clear that no religion will save us... I hope these pastors in this video no only refer to what they were taught. I hope they study also on their own. Not only the common translation of the Bible but the original scriptures itself. Ptr Ed is a Bible scholar and only another Bible scholar is qualified to contest what he understands. The rest - its just mere riding with the popularity of this issue. We cannot judge in one sermon only. If we follow Ptr Ed's messages, he always emphasize God's Love. If our reading in the Bible makes us loving, then it is in Christ.

Love cannot be apart from the law. Makikita natin ang ganitong relasyon sa magulang na nagturo sa anak ng tamang asal. Nagpalaala ang magulang sa anak dahil kailangan naintindihan ng anak kung bakit may "rules". Ang rules na ikakabuti din ng anak. Ang pag turo ng rules sa anak ay pagmamahal. Without the law given by YHVH through Moses man will not become aware of sin. Law is necessary to become righteous. Awareness ng pagkakasala ay kailangan para sa pagsisi. Well, the first time I read the bible, it was scary since I started with the old testament. But once you go to the new testament, it's more gentle and Jesus teaching showed that his Father is gentle and not what was portrayed in the old testament. I suggest that you'all discuss this with Pastor Ed Lapiz as he deserve to clear himself and not be judge by you guys.

My take on his preaching in " nasa legal age na siya " is that Pastor Ed Lapiz took on the road less travelled. Lumihis siya sa kinagawian, kasi yun naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit si Jesus ay isinugo , ang ibalik ang kanilang paniniwala sa tunay na Diyos. Sa panahon ni Jesus Christ na prevalent ang Judaism, walang naglakas ng loob na mag-question sa authority ng mga Pahrisees, and those who dares to question them are of the Devil. In further and a more serious search for the Father of the Lord Jesus to know him better as Scriptures reveal/allow, we have been academically studying/reviewing both established teachings AND also beliefs and ideas that offer different perspectives ---all in the interest of expanding knowledge and seeing things from different points of view.
One of those studies, an ongoing one, is the review-for-appreciation of our established belief that Yahweh is God as presented by the Jewish Scriptures.
Part of that study is also a look at and review of some counter claims that Elyon is a different, separate persona from Yahweh and is the one who is the “higher God”. Then, there is this school of thought that says Yahweh and Elyon are one and the same, so wala naman dapat issue.
At certain stages in our study, we shift to each school of thought in order to give each idea a fair hearing as an objective study is that: a study, a search, a process of questioning and trying to find answers. And in our academic classes, questions are not bawal; they are even encouraged.
At this present stage in our study, the expectedly overwhelming volume of verses support the established teaching and belief that Yahweh is, indeed, the God presented by the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament. And, with due respect to the textual evidences reviewed, we therefore (expectedly) continue to subscribe to that: Yahweh is God as the Hebrew Scriptures write.
By the way, our studies at DBD---our forays/excursions into Questions Land --are local and actually for our local church ---it is never imposed on others, except that it is also uploaded online for our congregations outside the DBD Center. Meron lang ngang other parties who watch by their own choice. But downloading, re-uploading and sharing by non-DBD parties of our local materials, especially if spliced or edited, could so easily be taken out of context. Even full messages delivered at our main gatherings, when video-viewed in isolation ---outside the series of the many other related messages spread across time, could be taken out of context by a selective viewer.

Oo, maganda yung mga preachings nya before. I am one of those blessed by them. Pero kailangan pa rin pag usapan yung mga maling doctrina. I have an uncle who was a pastor and so gifted in preaching, but now he became extremist, turned from Christianity, and followed Judaism.

It was clear that Pastor Ed gave emphasis to read the Old Testament. He is right the moment he encourages us to read the gospels and to read them by heart... the story about the blind man that Jesus healed on a Sabbath day... I think Pastor Ed specifically talking about an isolated case... that even if the blind man don't know who is the Son of the higher God is still this man's faith saved him and made him able to see. Made him able to see the light and grace, while religious/ righteous people condemned Jesus for doing things on a Sabbath day. It's true that having to listen to church people countless of times and feel nothing within you is a kind of darkness, spirituality I mean... Pastor Ed is talking by experience and he made it clear that no religion will save us... I don't know if people usually make reaction video to compare one's opinions from the other....

I hope these pastors in this video no only refer to what they were taught. I hope they study also on their own. Not only the common translation of the Bible but the original scriptures itself. We cannot judge in one sermon only. If we follow Ptr Ed's messages, he always emphasize God's Love. If our reading in the Bible makes us loving, then it is in Christ.

The message it self is not about YAWEH vs EL Elyon, its all about Liberating people from the burdensome over controlling religion who painted a very wrong impression of who really God is, and by calling people to follow Him and listen to HIm (Jesus) people will find rest for their souls, that God who is the Most high God is loving, approchable, willing to listen, understands, accepts people whatever status in life, and forgives and cares even for those whom we judge as sinners (Romans 5:6-8). Well, the first time I read the bible, it was scary since I started with the old testament. But once you go to the new testament, it's more gentle and Jesus teaching showed that his Father is gentle and not what was portrayed in the old testament. I suggest that you'all discuss this with Pastor Ed Lapiz as he deserve to clear himself and not be judge by you guys.
