microsoft and linux really seem to be moving forward in powerful and open ways quickly. apple alas is moving backwards, the new apple silicone and the related lockdown of their ecosystem even further is the final nail in the coffin for this dev. wsl2 and this terminal are a dev game changer.
how do you change color when you ssh to linux? base directory lines are always ugly green for me. i remoted into linux machine and i changed theme there to something else but it only works when i remote into machine and open terminal from there. when i ssh from windows terminal, it is always ugly green. :(
I applied the Dracula theme as my default color scheme but only thing that changed is the background color. Is the multi-color text based on syntax? Is that why doing ipconfig or netstat results in all my text still being the same color?
Hello, very good video, it helped me a lot, but I have a little doubt, how is it that when opening a new terminal with ctrl + t, how does it open a specific route? instead of the user in your case open a folder of documents
Notepad is fine, dont worry, you can still edit the contents of the file. It doesnt matter whether you use Notepad, Visual Studio Code, Sublime or whatever text editor you want. It all works the same.
Yoo, this is sick! Initially I was only expecting some small modifications, but changing background and keybinds is really big
Great video. I felt tired of looking at complex documentation but your video just made it sooo simple.
i just wanted green font and black background and found so much more thank you man
Microsoft is a totally different beast these days.

mine looks nothing like yours. When I hit ctrl , it boots up visual studio 2019. I can't edit anything.
Never mind, I figured it out. Good Video.
can we transparent the terminal?
yes we can! goto settings.json and under defaults paste this: "useAcrylic": true,
"acrylicOpacity": 0.5
Not sure why I can't see the theme list on the left. For me it's a drop down.

Great video... Just wanted to ask why are you still using f.lux when there is Windows Night light available?
Use ZSH in Linux, You Will Forget Every Windows Alternative
why not use zsh in WSL

There should be a tab you can click that will open up the settings.
@@ansonthedev thx
When i open the settings it opens notepad
That means you need to associate your .json files with whatever program you want.

hey bro why in my code "colorSheme" eror?
Idk? You probably misconfigured something somewhere. You need to make sure everything is valid JSON.
@@ansonthedev I've been able to input the theme code, but there's no change in the terminal
, why?
@@ansonthedev How to transparency terminal?
Ridho we cant see your code so we cant help you, try posting a screenshot of your code to stack overflow

thx
How to bring the transparency in windows terminal ?☹️
ctrl+shift and while holding down scroll with the mousewheel
instead of opening profiles.json, it just open settings.json
Am I missing something or what?
It's the same thing. Don't look at the name of the file, look at what's in the file...
The contents of the file is more important than the name.
Somebody fork it and bring it to linux
Nabeel Hasan as a windows user it should be on linux
even in linux I use the gui to configure the terminal xD now you configure terminals in windows from a fkng file
wow it looks like linux :P
bash crashing is biggest lie ever
I literally cannot stand PowerShell. It's so dogshit annoying to use.
It's a very powerful tool, but not for everyone.
bull shit ! cant edit profile.json as simple first problem
Amazing. Thank you!
Thanks man ☺️
