I have the Kindle Scribe. I have always been a book purest. About 2 years ago my vision became severely compromised (long story). I can see but my vision in my left eye is distorted. Straight lines and words close together are my nemesis. I used to read every single day and haven’t been able to for two years. I was devastated. Two months ago I had an epiphany about the Kindle. I thought I can adjust the font size and how bright the display is. GAME CHANGER!!! I have read two books and am on my third in the past 2 months. A kindle for me was a God send!!!
I LOVE this story!! Thank you for sharing it. The first Kindle that we ever had in my family was one that I bought for my dad AGES ago when his eyesight started to get bad. We are ALL voracious readers, and he started to lose the ability to read regular-sized text, and large print books can be so cumbersome . . . and that's about when the first Kindle came on the scene. Like you said: GAME CHANGER!! He read using Kindles and Audible for the rest of his life. 😍
I love this video! I’m not exactly a super slow reader, but I get distracted easily and it’s super frustrating to get back into a book (my psychiatrist suspects ADHD). The kindle has prevented me from prematurely spoiling an ending (because I’m a highly impulsive person). But these tips and tricks are super inclusive and I love how you are really breaking down reading hacks on a Kindle so we can get the most out of our reading experience! Reading can be fun if you’re able to comprehend the words in a way that suits you the best. This is amazing, and I’m going to subscribe!
I really appreciate that you approached this subject from a teacher perspective. I’ve seen dozens of videos where these tips and tricks are used in a personal improvement perspective, but this is the first video that uses the features as a teacher to students improvement set of tools. Thanks and keep up the amazing work. On a side note, I noticed what I think is a voyage model in the thumbnail for this video. Do you still own one? And do you actively use it?
Thank you so much for your kind words. And YES!! That's a Voyage. I LOVE it! I don't use it every day, but I do still use it. I think it's a GREAT device. Here's a video that I did talking about the Vouage. I think it's a fantastic budget priced Kindle. ua-cam.com/video/MuwSmZhuras/v-deo.htmlsi=efJAbub4oLV7Wxe7

My son is a struggling reader who is self conscious. I’m a book girl, but just charged my kindle for him. THANK YOU
Thank you for your comment! I hope this helps him become more comfortable reading. 🤗
