Always remember this game as it was my 6th Birthday. Perhaps my earliest memory of them before winning the title in '72 when we had moved house from Derby to Belper a month earlier. To think it took us about another 50 years before we won a league game at Forest again. If only you could build a side like that for peanuts these days.
Speaking as a Forest supporter, great Derby side, had everything, great management, players, shitty ground. Cloughie kept the pitch so wet the toilets were nearly always flooded! Was at this game. I was about 15 then. Great time for football, if Derby had got the mercurial Ian Moore, it would have been the finishing touch.
I remember this game, as a Forest supporter, the great Ian Moore and the evergreen Robertson. I may be mistaken and hopefully some one will correct me, but had Derby just been promoted and Forest had won at the Baseball Ground, or was that a couple of seasons earlier? I was a teenager then! I was born in Derby but lived most of my life in Nottingham, so liked both clubs, especially when we had the Cloughie connection. Big thanks for this video, made an old man very happy. When football was truly great, hardly watch it now.
Why are you watching this then? How can you support two clubs anyway, is it down to who is winning more games and "has" should be "as" or did you not study English at school!
I own one of the shirts from this game, it was left to me by my grandad after he died. Worn by alan Durban

Wow! What a goal! Must surely have been a contender for Goal Of The Season? Thanks for the many nostalgic uploads - greatly appreciated.

United or Derby? Easy decision really.
@@scherben8870 Yeah, win f-all at United and eventually get relegated, or miss out on a Championship medal at Derby. Smart move Ian.

That Robertson #10, was a useful player, could be quite good someday!

I can safely say that Derby fans aren't particularly bothered about glory hunting dual club fans either
Great reply lol
Don’t think anyone is bothered about what you think 😂

How can you be a supporter of two clubs ? Stick to watching Sky Sports and leave classic football from the 1970's to proper fans.
Forest mugs.
