Considering how rough some of those Replikas can get when they manage to corner the player in a cramped hallway, I’m guessing that message is prophetic for a lot of new players. 😜
As if being constantly observed by cameras for whose operator is unknown isn't enough lol Also, yes, the only room I felt safe in Signalis was the one with the ghost piano, ironically. The moonlight melody was like a good stop after so much of that Replika SCREECHING
On Rotfront I distinctly remember the save room in the basement repair shop (the one connected to the metro station) having the "eye" on it -- that is, the black hexagon seen on the similar red screens in Nowhere and the TV shop window right outside said save room. It disappeared as soon as I got close. Made my heart jump into my throat when I saw it. I know this cannot be a figment of my imagination because I was playing Signalis with my roommate at the time, and she also confirms having seen it as well. I have never managed to replicate this occurence since. Yet after that event, I have never felt at ease in the save rooms. Just who -- or _what_ -- is that red screen supposed to represent? What happens when we save? Why does it berate us when we choose _not_ to save? Is uploading our memories and/or experiences really just feeding the insatiable appetite of some unknown bioresonant entity?
Search for melancholic piano music in your preferred music streaming service. Somebody probably made a playlist that should get a hit. Exposure to and learning about classical, acoustic, and jazz music will help you in your search.
I love how this music feels like its contrasting other safe room music. A lot of other survival horror games have calming, serene soundtracks for their save rooms, which is great too, but this one just hits a lot harder. It feels more insidious and quietly sinister. It's like the music is saying, _"You're safe, but for how much longer?"_
me and my gf were playing signalis together on stream and she had to leave for dinner and she left the character in a save room, this song hits different when you're alone and don't want to be alone
You can feel safe, but this song reminds you of what's waiting for you outside... we go again thinking we can exit a mine by going deeper and deeper underground...anything for the promise.
I’m surprised I only just found this through Game Pass on Xbox since I don’t think it was recently added. Really enjoying it so far, though I’m a bit annoyed with how the baddies keep getting back up as if they’re somehow related to the Crimson Heads from Resident Evil Remake, otherwise I’ve been having a blast.
You can burn some of them in strategic points around save rooms etc. and just walk past others quietly. Even running works in many cases as you leave rooms faster than they reach you.
The piano is out of tune. The dynamics of its playing erratic, like the performer is truly struggling to get through each line. You can hear a warbling, like distorted birdsong in the distance. Though you might be safe now, it's not to last. At some point you'll need to leave, where the corruption will be ready, waiting to draw your blood. You have a promise to keep, don't you? That's what this sounds like.
*walks up to the red monitor* EEEEEHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
LOL
*Infected Cowboy Replika Suddenly Appear Behind U*
sentences you can actually hear.
YOU'LL REGRET THIS LATER.

"AWSHIETWHADDAFUKKKK...oh save slots" - me when hitting that red TV the first time
Scary red save station noise, my beloved.
All that’s missing is James’ face
Never felt safe in those rooms... Not once.

Safe room music is what I call it.

God I love this game. It takes the essence of what made the PS1 RE & SH games so great & distills it into its own unique kind of sci-fi horror.

I know what ending you're getting...
how do i mod resident evil 4 save room music into this
you got to find the music file name of the safe areas in RE4 and change it to this but you got to use the same name as the original
