- Some mysterious happenings in the area required detailed investigation by Detective Nanny.
The findings resulted in heightened awareness for us all about living in bear country and the do's and don'ts when the bears come down the mountains in the fall.
Nanny also discovered the vibrant activities that occur in the hours of darkness when we are all sleeping.
Grizzly Bears sense of smell is their greatest way of receiving sensory information, we discovered how they use it not only for sensing food and danger, but for relaxation and entertainment.
This could equally apply to our dogs and cats, and the joy they get from rolling in stinky stuff.
The next time your pet comes home after rolling in something unpleasant to us - remember how pleasant it was for them and maybe that they just needed a "personal aromatherapy retreat".

I think Nanny knew right away who was the culprit. She just pretended to need a lot of field trips and filming and sniffing and viewing and rolling and petting - just to get the most out of it.
Notice how she used the squirrel as a red herring and how her expression when the bear was finally exposed showed no surprise whatsoever? Heck, she almost looked a bit sad that the whole, interesting adventure was over.
But oh, well... She must take comfort in the fact that she is the most interesting cat in the Rockies - perhaps in the entire world? 😊

And although the bears were so funny and delightful to look at, I felt concern for them being so close to your home. Each time I see that there is a new video I get super excited to see Nanny and Co and what hijinx they are up to. Each time is better than the last. This time sir you have outdone yourself. This was by far the BEST story yet! I knew it was bears but hoped it wasn't Dandy getting into mischief. Anyone else would have a much different first instinct. Well I can’t believe what I am seeing! Just came upon this wonderful video that delights and saddens me. I have just lost my beloved 16 year old cat that I rescued. He was feral but with lots of love and patience he became the best cat ever. He and Nanny could be twins! It’s amazing. They are identical in every way. Nanny now brings me much joy. Hey honeysada you should make this into a children’s book it could be a series, you could call it the adventures of dectective nanny or something like that not only would it be a fun imaginative book but the kids could learn animal recognition and learn fun facts about the animals just a thought 💭 coming from a Kindergarten T.A lol plus nanny would look awesome as an illustration🙂
