What are the factors that may contribute to their sudden death. I have farm Guinea Pig before but they do die before reproduction period. and any one that is likely chanced to give birth to baby, the baby do die

Feeding you should feed mainly grass though they eat pellets it has not worked well for us, hygiene luck of enough space exercise and breeding at younger age can cause the babies to die.
Inbreeding is not an issue here

Being on the ground like that I bet there was a lot more piss and poo building up a lot quicker, I believe having them on the mesh would be easier and safer as realistically who has the time to change the bedding every day or two? I guess it comes down to morals, Morals are man made if you think about it haha if I was you I would keep them in cages to reduce work load and chance of infection from laying in their waste.

Thanks for the feedback, having on the wire was not so bad but realistically they seem very happy and healthy on the ground. We change bedings weekly with ease
