    The S1 has a backlit LCD panel. Your demo unit was just really dim. I have two others that are production units and brighter.
    I installed fans in all mine, works great now.

    It seems like EIBOS has also lauched thier new filament dryer which including heating part and fan. External heating loop. it is now Pre-order on their website. Same price as sunlu but shipping included. looks like a good deal guys.

    Let me know when you want to sell me this one as well. I bought your demo unit S1.

    Does it have a fan? And that orange filament looks like it's too wide to fit in there, but hard to tell..
    But for $40 more if it has no fan is not worth it IMO, get the regular one and add a fan, or I think eSun makes one with a fan for around $50

      It does not have a fan...adding a fan defeats the purpose of it being a filament dryer

      @@AkumaMods I don't understand that comment. Most people have been drying filament in food dehydrator which have heaters and fans for ages and ages... A fan and heat is going to dry more filament more evenly... Like a convection oven vs regular oven kinda... How does a fan defeat the purpose to you?

      @@vkhelldog well I guess you would be right...wasn't thinking in that way. My thought process is you are taking in the humid air and then trying to dry that to help get faster drying but the fact your still needing to dry out the incoming air I guess is a mood point if you have good enough heating

    Is it possible to feed the filament from the bottom? I would like to put the dryer on top since I have a direct drive.

    • @AkumaMods
      @AkumaMods  3 роки тому

      Unfortunately no. The heating element takes up the entire area

    • @RonigKillah
      @RonigKillah 3 роки тому

      @@AkumaMods I feel like thats a missed opportunity. Its useless for people with a direct drive since you cant feed it properly. The bottom was the way to go.

      @@RonigKillah agreed...however you can drill a hole into the top and run a Bowden setup to the direct drive
