I was 1st saved at 18yrs in1981, i fell away after 4 yrs, and I came back to walking with him at the end of 2021 ! Praise him for his Grace and mercy on me, I'm now 61 and it's a deeper richer experience but I do have to make the effort now to read and pray and grow and refine...after the heady intensity when I fully repented in 21..

The isolation of persecution is heavy. Sadly, too many who call themselves Christian are not willing to stand against the evil of this world. One foot in and one foot out. True. disciples need the fellowship with the same and there just aren't that many to be found. 😢😢 God is my strength to remain faithful in the face of persecution. So many HAYE us.

Hey sister, I will be praying this week for the Lord to give you community but you also need to work, faith without work is dead. Sometimes we need to be the friends we’re looking for and one day somebody recognizes and decides to grow along. Love you Debbie, may Jesus spirit comfort you! I’ll be praying the whole week, ok? 🤍

Amen and Amen! There is a storm coming to wake the sleeping church because God so loves the world he does not anyone to perish. Some will listen but many will not. If God is calling you to walk alone in this season, it is because standing on your own with your Holy Spirit is fortifying your faith in your King Jesus. We don’t need anyone but Jesus. Although it can be lonely to our flesh we grow even closer to our Lord.

SO good. Even though the stuff at the very beginning of this podcast was painful to watch, it's actually a strengthening reminder that Christ is the ultimate truth. Why does the world hate Christianity so much? Why Jesus? They wouldn't DARE mock Islam that way. But they hate Jesus because He testifies that their deeds are evil while Jesus lived blamelessly. Every other religion says "Sure you messed up, but you're not that bad, and everyone makes mistakes. You have it in you to be a good enough person (hopefully) to outweigh the bad. Now get back up and be true to yourself." That message strokes the pride of the human heart. Jesus simply says, "You do evil because you ARE evil. Now repent and believe in me to save you!"

Maybe it's because Christians can't mind their own business or think everyone's business is theirs to change. Let me give you an example, the United States Founding Fathers were mostly Deists and they made it crystal clear that they created a wall of separation between the church and state. Ever since then Christians consistently have tried to tear it down and are still doing so today. This isn't a Christian Nation and has never been one. From trying to get religion into public school, now the want school vouchers so tax payers pay for private religious schools. Let's also talk about how Christians bastardized the pledge of allegiance and our currency with religious dogma, even though the faces on the currency would have been appalled. No other religious groups do that in the United States, guess that's why it's referred to as the American Taliban.

Hi Pastor John, Im Rhed from the Philippines, I'm just mind blown from the revelations, corrections, reminders, and wisdom from this topic especially since I just got a privilege to speak to our church last sunday and this was the same verse I just talked about in the congregation. Indeed it is really deep, thick and dense to an extent you and arden pointed out so many things that I haven't seen on this part of the scripture.
Looking forward to your next podcast with Arden, in the next 3 months my wife will give birth to our first baby, I'm hoping that we can have the same bonding in the future just like you guys!

To understand the depth and breath of the Bible, a person needs really dedicate themselves to Him, his will and his word. I personally think that many Americans have taken that time and reapplied it to monetary gain. We work too much. Our employer isnt our God. Jesus is. Let us all apply His word to do the work that he wants us to do, not the the excess that the working world wants from us.

I know the folks I worked alongside never used bad language in my presence. I never preached or discussed my faith. However, I did let one person know why not to use gd words . . . ever. Also, the same to one of my granddaughters.

I am a retired Christian pastor. I have never been able to find a single direct NT scriptural injunction to try to change the society; as distinct from leading individuals into a salvation encounter with Christ. That is made even more clear when you realize than early Christianity was founded in the context of extreme pagan dictatorial governance. I do not discount the every implication of living in modern nations with various degrees of democratic process: however, even so, if we learn anything from the Bible it is that civil/criminal law is not the answer.

For a heart that desires the salvation of each and every soul and for the boldness to run after the lost no matter how scary it may be, no matter how time consuming it may be, no matter how much energy it may take, no matter how much or little I desire to do it. Scripture is very weak in a Christian falling away. Most the times is taken out of context and it’s talking about those who tasted but we’re not born again. To fall away as a Christian is to say that God is not able to keep them. This is preached in many churches in America, but very few churches and other nations preach this or centre around this.

I was 22 and in the Army in 1985. My NCOIC called me to his desk one day and asked me what I knew about Jesus. Through the next few weeks he got together with me and showed me from the Bible who he was, who I was, and the cost of remaining the same. I had no doubt where I was going when I died. But he was also very clear on the price I would pay for walking with Jesus. I became a believer January 21st, 1985, and I’ve never looked back. Today we tell people to come to Jesus for a nice, happy life. We do them a disservice by not being clear that this will cost us our lives, our desires, our selfishness, and pride. And it’s totally worth it.

I always see that we’ve been saved from our FORMER sins. So, if you’ve been deceived does that mean you can’t come back? Please answer. I’m feeling like I just don’t measure up. No opinions, just facts from Scripture please.

    God is love.
We all fall short and sin.
    Love is just and merciful.
Because God is loving He must judge sin, we all stand judged and are due to face His wrath as slaves of sin.
Because God is merciful He provided a way out from under the weight of the law and His wrath and a way for us to be regenerated.
If we trust Jesus shed His sinless blood, died and rose from the grave He forgives us of our sins and gives us a new heart that wants to look God as our Father genuinely and delight in Him, freeing us from being slaves to sin.
The rest is our mind catching up with that reality and taking hold of His teaching and truth until He returns, or we die.
We aren't saved or kept saved by obedience, intentions to submit to Jesus. We can only be lost through unbelief (trusting in our own righteousness, to be or remain saved) or blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (attributing clear works of God, healing/deliverance, to demons and Satan).

The church is not a building
Its the people. They sre leaving because churches are teaching wrong
There is more people meeting in someone's house
If the church was a building why was thr verse "where two or more gathered in my name ill be there".

i'm a bit more cautious here; do a deep dive into the ministry of jesus; he was jeered and spat at, by the religious leaders of his day, he DINED with sinners and the broken; these are the ones invited to the banquet because everyone else in high society is too busy to notice... i would like to see a video on this; jesus best friends were his disciples, but he was close to prostitutes and tax collectors - i don't know too many pastors with reformed prostitutes as their closest companions

Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear your whole entire life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
