I had several failed attempts following other videos. I had already given up then I came across your video. Thank you for making it easy to understand. Thanks to you, I just got my first corgi in first attempt!
That's a really hard part to get through. I made a separate video because of it - if you're up for trying this again, you can find the paw part at: ua-cam.com/video/Ns_mw2iIA0E/v-deo.htmlsi=xnyREcotYkMSJsHj
I SHALL HAVE A CORGI ARMY MWUAHAHA i saw the thumbnail and was like, "nuu that looks way too hard" but i watched the video and the instructions are SO CLEAR! like you can tell pretty much EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING, most of the time! if only all origami tutorials were this well structured.... keep it up!
^^ you're welcome! i will probably have to try (and fail) a lot before i get it, but i find that i can manage fairly complicated origami (if i don't get frustrated XD)
It's a great tutorial overall, however, you skip some bits with helping positions and the folds are not visible for some. E.g 7:58 what am I supposed to pull out and squash? I can't actually see which bit to pull.
At 7:38, while trying to fold it, it ripped, I tried to continue to fold it and be careful about the rip, but it decide to rip _even_ more, to the point where I couldn't fold it anymore. So I crumpled it into a ball and ripped it into tiny little _pieces_
Omg, you did the exact same thing I did when I first started and messed up! So infuriating! For me, I had a hard time with the paws (4:46), the back of the head (same as you) or when pulling out the neck (8:01). I had to practice folding several pieces before I got the hang of it; the edge of the papers rip too easily sometimes.
That's the very first Origami video I see. I searched for it because I love corgis and now I'm like "nope. Intermediate is to much" XD Wtf mountains and valleys and what?! :D But it looks so cute! I will try some easy things first and some day....I will have my corgi
+risesinx ahaha, your funny comment made me laugh! But you're right, this one takes some practice, so try making easier models first. It will be worth it!
Good luck! With a little bit of practice you'll be able to do it ;D I've done many origamis but you're right, this one is SOOOOO CUTE! (Valley fold, is a fold which is "down" and the mountain one is "up" :b)
You're so right. I might need to do a basics video or just start every video with "this is mountain, this is valley,..." Haha, sounds like an elementary school song.
Great instructional video, despite being slightly annoyed by the overuse of the term 'squash' when a more accurate term is 'crease.' (The only squash fold is @ 7:37 and I guess the front paws are technically squash folds as well.) But really I'm just being persnickitey.
This part was so difficult for many people that I made a separate video for it. If you're up for trying again, it's here: ua-cam.com/video/Ns_mw2iIA0E/v-deo.htmlsi=xnyREcotYkMSJsHj
I appreciate the fact that you uploaded a video tutorial for this cute corgi BUT there are few problems about this tutorial: 1. it's too fast. 2. you skip too many passages so it was so hard to follow you 3. not indicated to beginners
You're completely correct! That's why the notes say it's intermediate/difficult level. It's a good idea to build a few single story houses before attempting a 10 level apartment building (or something to that effect.)
@@OrigamiA it's not the fact that it is intermediate, the tutorial is too fast in general. I've done my fair share of intermediate and hard tutorials of origami and have been able to follow most tutorials easily. I'd recommend showing the fold slower and talking slower. Also if you're doing a more difficult fold, show afterwards what it will look like on the inside of the fold.
I'm a total beginner so i dont rlly know why i'm trying this AHA but i got up to about 9:24 until i got totally lost ... i'll practice more and try this again in the future :)
Super clear instructions, thank you! Helped me with a step I was stuck on in the middle :) Some people don't understand that this is *not* a beginner origami, you have a lot to learn and practice before attempting these intermediate/difficult models!
@@RomuloAndrade One of my other favorites in addition to this corgi is the dollar koi. That one is really difficult though - I've made a lot of them, but still have trouble remembering how to make it.
Hello Yung John! I was not able to perform the "Push protrusion inwards" step at 7:41 time. Unclear as to how you got that small square shape on its neck. Please advice. Thanks!
The paw is orange at first and is a triangle shape. Underneath the triangle though, the paper is white. The step now is to fold back (or flip back) ONLY the front side of the triangle upwards and back to expose the white paper underneath it. To tell it another way, take the longest edge of the triangle (at the bottom) and only pull up the front sheet (there are like three at the bottom you can grab - don't take all of them, just the first one in the front.) Then it goes up and around, showing the white color that was hidden underneath. It should cover the whole orange triangle of the paw to white. I hope that helps - it was the hardest part for me to learn when I first folded this corgi too.
It's not the easiest origami to fold, it's true. I had to think about and do another video about the paw since a lot people seemed to have trouble with that also (as did I when I first learned to fold this corgi.)
10:32 "so if you flip it on the other side, it basically looks like a dog!"
*flips mine*
*confused noises*
Why does my origami corgi look like it's been run over by a 50 ton truck
Lol, it's not the easiest puppy to fold!
Bruh...
I’m stuck on the part where you open up the dogs neck and take something out can someone help?
I had several failed attempts following other videos. I had already given up then I came across your video. Thank you for making it easy to understand. Thanks to you, I just got my first corgi in first attempt!
Awesome! I'm glad for the success! :)
part of my brain: are you sure you want to make this? you literally only have printer paper and spray paint.
other part of my brain: *YES*
OMG, you made me laugh really hard! :)
Flipping the hands over white got me. You cut a few times and I think that makes it difficult.
same

I'm also confused about this part... What exactly am I supposed to do?! :'(
there's like little corners on both insides that you can grab onto and pull those out.
3:16 it looks like that the white thingie and when you open it find that thingie that looks exactly like that and pull it
Actually there is a pocket there and you just need to pull it.
Great instructions for this complicated project. I made it. Thanks a lot!
I love corgis aww! But 3 boys in my class hate corgis and guess what there favorite animal is?! A pigeon
What?!😄
*makes pigeon sounds* yes
Still working on this (between work &c), not done yet, but it's very clear. I was surprised there was also narration. Will post again when I finish.
