He plays like he's dancing ballet and the hunch smash looks like volleyball serve, brilliant save!
I am Indonesian but I trust that LZJ is one of good Badminton player in the world now. But please don't compare him with LCW.
He is really powerful actually, if he can reduce mistake he made,I'm pretty sure he's unbeatable
Technically we're all unbeatable if we make no mistakes.
@@kevinhoodless7382 mistake he means is unforced error. Powerfull smash always give advantages to a player.
@@buddinsaribbi2696 berbeza ksilapan yg zijia lakukan dari lagenda Li congwei..
@@kevinhoodless7382 not true. There’s a difference between forced and unforced errors. You could play a set against anyone and hit no shots out or in the net but if you’re opponent keeps hitting winners you still lose. Think the guy is talking about unforced errors when LZJ is in a non pressure position he makes a few too many errors. Compared to others like Axelsen who hit a lot less errors
So you are saying he is still playing like a 12 year old
who's here after LZJ beat Kento Momota in semi final in Sudirman Cup 2021 ?
Done..settle ,good job👍💪
🙋♂️
💪
Me
@G00GLE syukur alhamdulillah
He got the same posture as axelsen but more explosive. Watching him play with his unique style sure is fun
one thing everyone forget is his humility, he never looks down on his opponents or take it easy fuh the attitude 💪🏻 also he always remember his fans and we are one of the reasons why he dreams to be number one :) lets continue to support!
His jump net kill is is so cute xD
little bunny hop
People are saying "the next Lee Chong Wei!" I reckon he shouldn't be compared to the previous great. He should be his OWN great. Like Chong Wei who worked hard to be no.1, i'm sure so will LZJ.
true. People are having too much expectation on him but they forgotten he's just on the rise. Need to gain more experience from tournaments and reach master lvl...srsly can't brain why everyone is mocking him. Don't expect the next LCW will just come out all of a sudden. He's taking so much stress coz there's no one in MAS that can carry on lcw's legacy 🙃
No he is not the next LCW... He is the 1st Lee Zii Jia and should remain that way. LCW was a great player but he has closed his book, and we thank him for that and will always be remembered.
Now let LZJ open and start his own book and story line .. Please stop comparing them and let's rejoice their uniqueness.
yeah. during lcw time no one in the world said the next misbun
@@jollythepopcornman6614 maybe bcoz Misbun is a Malay .. you lah how Malaysian lives are drawn along the racial line. Like it or not, but that's the way it is..
Yeah no reason to compare him to LCW. LCW is good because of his consistency and solid fundamentals. Should compare him to Lin Dan because of his explosiveness and quirky shots.
Also, there's nothing wrong with comparisons, stop trying to be edgy. It's human nature to compare, that's how we identify patterns.
I feel that he is having fun with the sports that he liked so much. As an audience, definately enjoyed watching him playing in the court as it brings more lively and fun sports to watch than conventional textbook badminton.
As a badminton fans, I feel the world of badminton isn't the same anymore since LCW and LD retired. Hope new and fresh faces able to uplift badminton spirits once again.
LZJ doing ballet at court is another level 🔥🔥🔥
Actually LZJ is a very good all around player. He has great speed for his height. Not the fastest but fast enough to match most players. He has good height. Probably one of the tallest in the sport so now. He has good defence and has probably the best offence in game right now. The only downside is his experience and mentality
Agreed. However what he showed (for everybody to see) in the recent Sudirman Cup was, his unshaken "I'm not going to lose to you" mentality (I felt sorry though, for Ginting being on the receiving end .. he's such a good player)(and Mamota, despite being described by pundits as "at his best" or "nearing his previous performances" ~ he was up-ended in two, albeit, close sets)
@@mbtobserver2016 yes. I am positive that if LZJ didn’t face Chen Long he would have at least got a bronze in Tokyo Olympic. Not sure if you agree
@@lohxinkai3427 i think he really can do better if he didn't hurt his wrist or am i wrong🧐not sure abt the slight injury his hand
@@lohxinkai3427 Agreed (But what is past is past)(LCW had 3 occasions to prove/win Gold but didn't). Hope he maintain his form in the Thomas Cup & subsequently, the World Championship
@@aliciadelilah3102 I'm sorry but I didn't get "this info"... When did it happen, in the match against CL?
His hunched-back smash is quite powerful. This technique allows him to generate powerful and steeper smash without using full arm swing. He uses forearm pronation to generate steeper angle and hunches his back at the last moment to add the shoulder/back-muscle power into his shots. This also enables him to carry out the full smash in faster time. His arms follow-through is also short and his racket doesn't crosses the body in his follow-through movement, unlike the other players where the racket crosses the body and the person has to land 180degrees rotated after the smash. Although it is unconventional and hard, but it is also very effective and very fast smash with a very fast recovery time.
Even though I don't understand what I have just read, but it sounded very nice. Thanks!
Lol, just ban this move in court
If I'm not mistaken this technique is pretty similar to tennis serves.
He will prone to injury if he keep doing this smash
@@mohamadkhairunishak7396 Yes! i also have this problem. I often try to smash this way but it does lead to shoulder injury sometimes!
he is not like LCW, but he has his own playing style, i like his smash pose
i like the first one, monkey kill
Chen long gameplay will suit him the most..ngl
2:23 Kento Momota be like "NANI?!"
Malaysia had the most perfect form player - Chong wei
and now they have the most unconventional player - zii jia
he really enjoy his game... surely his composure will be a nightmare to the opponent in the next 2-3 years..
Honestly he has a bright future ahead of him. Nevertheless, he needs stronger mentality and a strong will to win!! Im waiting for MS WR NO.1 LEE ZII JIA to dominate the world~
Thank youu soo much believe in him
@@sitihaida98 As a malaysian I'm hoping to see another legend reign
@scarlett yeah me too
My idols are 2 Malaysians: Loh kean yew and lee zii jia.
Emotionally, he is not fit for the place left for him yet
He will be a headache for every other top badminton players in the world.
😂😂👍🏻👍🏻
He already is 😆 He has defeated world top players many times. I feel that the top players are now nervous when they see him.
@@WendyLee808 yess hahahhahaha. Axelsen and Kento Momota even did a celebration when they won against Lee Zii Jia whose rank was way lower than them. Showing that Lee Zii Jia is definitely a threat to them. Proud of him
@@roserafesya5783 Don’t know if others feel the same, but I feel that Momota and Axelson were nervous playing with LZJ 😆 Still LZJ has a long way to go to higher rank, doesn’t matter win or lose, he is indeed a talented player 🙂 Same goes to Momota and Axelson, really like them among so many players in post-LinDan&LCW era 😆
He is the Giant Killer!
bright future for this young man. his game is consistent and can see he have a strong and calm mind during match. well done!
3:24 when he backhand, the racket was bend :O
He got his own style. LZJ you're a star and it's shining bright now!
LZJ pretty much got everything like a combined yonex legend. Not saying he is but hes got something from each yonex legend
He really has the potential to dominate the badminton world
Nah he doesn't
@@adithya817 then ok
@@adithya817 Hmm salty. 😁
He really does. Hes basically mastered what everyone else can do at such a young age. And makes it look easy and simple
Yes he is
I Really love his unique smash
I can literally watch his matches all day without even getting bored..
Proud of u LZJ..such a good player in this time...gogo 👍😍
LZJ. BRING BACK ALL ENGLAND’s CONFIDENCE !! 🔥🔥 YOU DID GREAT. NEED TO BE MORE CONFIDENT, FOCUS. ALWAYS POSITIVE AND KEEP GOOD ATTITUDES. WE BELIEVE IN YOU 🇲🇾🇲🇾🔥🔥🔥💪🏻💪🏻
So glad to see you post again Shuttle Flash, either way LZJ is an amazing player. You don't need textbook movement to win.
Hoping that he will be a Legend one day like Dato' Lee Chong Wei Proud to be Malaysian 😇
Lzj future will be number 1 in world, still need more experience.he is new era badminton top player this for sure.
I'm all in for Momota's expressions lol
I really love more badminton because of Lee zii jia...his skill different from others.....go Lee zii jia
his deceptive push againts Momota in Sudirman cup 2021 is also one of the best
So basically, lee zii jia is lee chong wei-lindan-taufik hidayat combined
Hahaha
+ peter gade
So true.....
LCW - Defense
Lin Dan - Aura & Smash
Peter Gade - Trickshots
Taufik - Backhand
He’s good in all aspects.
the 0:44 net play from him is exceptional. the body language deceive the opponent.
it's like the dimestop motion in popping dance, fast and sudden slow.
carry resemblance from lin dan.
i suspect lin dan incorporated this dance technique in his badminton.
No.6 - hunched power smash is akin to a volleyball high jump spike full of power from the entire body weight into the object to give it superb speed!!
Salute admin, you've made some Naruto like moves here. Keen to know how would a NORMAL falling backward defence look like hahahaha
The only things that keep him lose was his own mistake, because he likely to take a risk but if he get more discipline and try not to rush he will unbeatable
Yeah he prefers shorter rallys so
Would like to see his actions in every single match on TV... Go, Lee Zii Jia... You can do it!
Man, his overhead cross court slice dropshot is also one of his iconic move!
Tho it's pretty rare to see his inside out shot.
Very very nice compilation with other example shots. I hope one day he becomes World Number 1 and also wins the Olympic Gold
love his move very explosive, im from indonesia but i want him to be at least top 5 soon too create more rivalry, go lzj!
He was born to be a LEGENDS
I can see hes very different than LCW, his deceptive ability are stronger than LCW. Hes playing mind games
Malaysia's singles are in good hands.. hopefully we will see rivals that are within his age.. and that will be exciting to watch another legendary duel besides LCW dan Lin Dan
i noticed his technique too...it kind of wierd but vry effective...so i think this is very unique technique n our future champion...gl LZJ...Lee fmily still conquere🤣
this man is absolutely future legend
I HAVE BEEN WAITING
His character shows so much through his game
Hes like the hybrid of Chen Long and Taufik Hidayat.
The Net Kill is sooooo him.
YOU UPLOADED FINALLY
Therefore it might be good to play innovatively out of the box and not necessarily follow text book style of techniques
There is always more than one way to achieve what we want
hunched smash just like vball spike ... more powerful delivery
Very good techniques, will be better with good mentality and strategy
Terharu bile tgok skill2 lee zi jia ni..adakah die mengalas tugas lee chong wei atau masih jauh..sila ulaskan
The most complete badminton player..road to no.1 soon
LZJ should take advantage of his net play .
Waiting for the video😌
very astute observations and excellent example footage from your research. some of these things like the pirouette backhand smash may work well for him, and others may not work as well for him. for example, if you study his jump smash you see the he is not rotating his hips, so he needs to use an abdominal crunch to generate power. this leaves his feet in a slightly awkward position for singles (though maybe ok for doubles). he may be able to manage that now but this idiosyncracy may not age well
The music though...hahaha
One thing I always wonder about backhand smashes is they play it even when Every single shot can be easily hit overhead with more power. And there is no badminton player who backhand is stronger than overhead
It can surprise opponents, and feels good to do. I think there are some players with a very strong backhand(myself included). If you have enough power it can be good to switch it up.
Bcs backhand smashes are very unpredictable. Even the one hitting the backhand smash wouldnt know where the shuttle will land 😅
I think those shots if taken as smashes will be straining to right side of body. Pay attention the shuttle is on top left corner, not overhead. Converting it into a backhand smash like what Lzj does here could actually be faster, less strain and achieve better angle than forcing an overhead smash.
problem of overhead is that you are risking your recovery, doing so to a very passive shot will make your next shot worst, which you don't want in singles
@@user-yu9mf2ob1z agree, if the opponent return the backhand smash . It consume the player energy to recover
MALAYSIA NI BOSS!!!
that unconventional shot win him the all england n beat momota n axelsen in one tournament
As Indonesian BL, It's hard to say Malaysia has a strong contender in MS disipline nowdays. LZJ is the brightest future top Players and compete againts top 5, he has complete touch and technique to playing in the highest level so maybe he could finish what LCW couldn't do like winning WC, AG or OG. He's mentality and hunger to winning so good. So, can we bring back coach Hendrawan from Malaysia ?? (just kidding).
I think What we Called the next 4 Kings of MS in Badminton are Anders Antonsen, Lee Zi Jia, Shi Yu Qi and of course Anthony S Ginting. They have same age and era, determine, complete in touch and shoot, also has winning an World Tour Super 1000 Tournament. These 4 Players have a chance to winning OG until Olympic 2032 in Auckland. And yeah, I can't wait for long to see what will coming up. 🔥🔥🔥
Malaysia had lee chong wei who dominated for 15 yrs too what u mean nowadays
@@LYCANCLANTEAM then?? I know what U wanna goes to but we talk about nowdays and coming future.
So inspiring so cool so handsome so best players
This smash will make him prone to injury when he grow older. He need to change his smash
Lee Zii Jia : Erling Haaland of Badminton
A. K. A MONSTER
Terbaik lah lie zie jhia .
Net play🔥🔥🔥💥💥
the legend has been born
He is amazing 👏 , brilliant player 👏 and he will be the future legend.
CRAZY ZiiJia......loveYou
LZJ ini pny bakat sukses spt pendahulunya Datok Lee Chong Wei. Teruslah mengasah kemampuan & tetaplah rendah hati
Actually physically he is better
Thank you so much
Very nice & good video 👍
I'm from sri Lanka 🤲🏻🇱🇰
Im gonna cry when i see LCW i miss him so much
World No. 1 Ranking For Sure LZJ!
I've been doing these for years as well, though I don't think I do the hunched smash. For me it's the opposite of being hunched.
You arched back when smashing?
@@martincstee5335 Yes, for some reason after I've played(even after a few hours) the only sweat spot I have is on my lower back. Everything else is dry. For some reason that place heats up the most for me. No idea why that is. Never experienced back pains or anything either.
his game style is not that much different with Chen Long, someore they are equally tall...definately cannot be compared to LCW as he have his own style...
Great video
This video deserves good credit!!
Future legend
I LOVE SHUTTLEFLESH
Amazing 👍
The next LEE CHONG WEI
our Next LEGEND 🏸
his little jump at the first clips just add flavour
I'm pretty sure I am hear he says waataaa when he's doing the jump net kill
Terbaik lzj 1 hari nanti mesti dpt title dato 👍🏻👍🏻
I think he will be the first Malaysian athlete that win gold for Olympics.
He is a showman
Hes already strong now. Looking forward to see him becoming world number 1. Greater than any badminton player ever existed.
Mantap Lzj...
Awesome
That's our shuttleheart🏸❤
Oh god make him be more more than lee chong wei 😌 ...
His smash form restricts the follow through but repeated actions like that can lead to injury
What does the hunched jumping smash does extra?
🤣🤣 that fast ..
Looking forward to the day he win Axel
yes, like really smashed him down easily in 2 sets😂
