ingredients: take snarky put some internet juice inside, sprinkle some Collier and keep it in a Metropole temperature for 6:08 minutes. i think the corona made us realize that we dont need to fly anywhere, where already in the right place.
I get so used to hearing him play chords all the time, that I sort of forget how incredibly melodically interesting his playing is. Not to mention his phrasing and feel. Adding on to the already giant heap of things that Jacob can do that most of us can’t lol
Young Jules. Amazing as usual. Old Kurt is the virtual band leader here. Michael League is sorta buried in the Brady Bunch squares (until the end where his square comes forward). Jacob Collier provides an (unsurprisingly) world-class keyboard solo. :-)
This sounds like the Larry Williams arrangement as done by Al Jarreau featuring the great Ross Bolton on guitar solo...the guy here does a very good rendition himself ...❤❤
Our generation has been blessed with internet and innovative tech during an outbreak. I'm almost guessing what the generation during the Spanish flu and black plague era, did in quarantine without internet.
The lack of rapturous applause (that is rightly deserved) at the end is a stark reminder of our times. But you guys smashed this, especially the ones doing the video and audio engineering. Amazing performance full stop, even more so that you were all remote.
Really made that snare sound great! I mean, props to the hundreds of other musicians for their countless hours of practice, but that snare sounds sick.
Love you, guys!!!!
that solo ❤️
So much love :)
I love YOU!
We love you!
Come to VIRGINIA
Gave it a like in the first minute because JULES BUCKLEY SPEAKS
That was a cool drink of water, with a squeeze of lemon. Ahhhhhhh...💜💜💜💜💜
Whoever mixed this to such a sound, hats off! Brilliant!
The collab that no one asked for but we all wanted
My goodness, Jacobs solo is insane
Yep ❤
who needs two hands anyways?
@@Thombon everybody gangsta until Collier enters
His hand just glides over those keys so effortlessly
Peter Tiehuis on guitar is GREAT...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Probably the most underrated guitarist in jazz.
I can't even imagine the time and effort to "orkestrate" such an endeavor...but they Didi it and it was superb. Well done!!!

who else recognised the dinosaur onesie instantly
and wondered if maybe you've been watching too many of his livestreams
3:20- 3:26 Just starts going through changes that aren't even there. Dude is next level.
that is some cory henry quasi-free jazz stuff. now we know he can do that too!
I would love to see a transcription of his solo
I get so used to hearing him play chords all the time, that I sort of forget how incredibly melodically interesting his playing is. Not to mention his phrasing and feel. Adding on to the already giant heap of things that Jacob can do that most of us can’t lol

Can someoneee explainn what progressions did Jacob use? All i know is It sounds off the chord, jjust it 😭
We're having a Funky Good TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Track features the guitar player a heap - he deserves a credit. Sounds killer
That bass trombone in the beginning 🥰
VERY "Quincy 1960's".
Especially the low octave. Reminds a bit to Doc Kupka‘s baritone 😉

Well summarized!! 👍👍👍

Played this with Kurt a few years back! It was a bit, man!
