Thank you so much for sharing!!! I was the same as your mum 20 years ago...8 years ago I reverted It is so interesting to see how different the hearts are and how they can change. For me it was most important that my Muslim husband never put me under pressure to revert
Me too, but I was Christian. When I met my muslim husband 17 years ago we promised to never force to change eachother's religion. One thing I didn't buy anymore was pork for our fridge out of respect but still was consuming a little outside. I reverted about 3 years ago as I eventually grew fonder of Islam. He never put pressure on me what's or ever even after having my 2 boys. I just stopped celebrating Easter and Christmas after my children were born not to confuse them and didn't eat pork while pregnant and breastfeeding not because my husband asked but just felt it was wrong...perhaps Allah was showing me the path slowly slowly 😊 May God bless you sister 😊

I feel instead of taking her to this brand new mosque which resembles like a museum you should have taken her to regular mosque which gives an exact vibe of mosque like few people praying, book shelfs, arabic written or walls etc kind of.
What difference would that have made? A mosque is a place of worship, not a sight-seeing experience. This mosque is as good as any other that’s looked after.

Between majority of muslims loves to share pics of marvelous big mosques on their social media, it indirectly means they love it for their grand palace type appearance and not because of the fact that it's a mosque i.e. a place of worship.
Otherwise they would've uploaded pics of those mosques which is very small or not so great as per appearance.
