It wasn't a bad situation to handle. People are just trying to make it bad situation. The truth didn't hurt Sherry and it shouldn't hurt anybody else. Sherry laughed because it was true.

Did you check out the body language when Sherri immediately jumped up from laughter, and moved so close to Marlo as if she was going put her arms around Marlo and hug her (like you would if a sibling had just pulled a joke on you) but realized she was on TV conducting an interview and instead just sat extremely close to Marlo and kept giggling uncontrollably. Sherri's actions speak louder to me than the comments from humans who more often like to deal with negativity, for some reason. Sherri did not appear offended folks.

Plastic surgery doesnt change your age. If your 70 before plastic surgery your still 70 after plastic surgery. The problem is these surgeries distort peoples faces to the point they are unrecognizable. There are some terrible examples if you want to research. Plastic surgeries on their faces isnt going to stop them dying, your age is your age, regardless of what your face looks like.

A lot of people give people that are older a pass, because they are older and have very few filters. That should not be the case. Marla Gibbs is 7 years older than Marlo Thomas and is a total class act- very elegant and graceful. Sherry is a class act too.

It looks like Marlo visited a plastic surgeon before shooting this movie cause her cheeks, jawline, lips, etc. are FILLED with Juvederm. Her face looks so dimply.

People that are so insulted by the weight comments, which were meant as a compliment on how great she looks now, are embracing a delusion that fat rolls are eshetically pleasing. As one who has had a battle with weight all their life, I always was happy to hear how great I looked, and not offended when someone pointed out how much bigger I was. I can see. I know this was true. We live in a society now where everything must be embraced as good, wonderful, healthy, and pleasing to the observers, even when that perception is false. If one is happy being fat, fine. Don't expect everyone to say you look terrific. Marlo Thomas is almost 85 years old. She didn't grow up in the time where lying becomes "truth". Cut her some slack. None of you pointing out her "insulting" comment seems to mind commenting on her bad face job. Isn't that a little hypocritical?

I know it came off as insulting, but I really think she was trying to compliment her by saying how much weight she lost and how great she looks now. She definitely didn't mean to insult her. I think she was empathizing how big she was in an effort to show how much work she had done to lose weight. I think she meant well. It was just awkwardly stated.

I love that Woman from That Girl to this day. When her and Phil got together and married it was like a fairy tale. When that Christmas movie came out if it wasn't for that voice I didn't recognize her. I don't understand why these actresses feel the need to change their face. It's called aging, and it's wonderful. When I see women who get the lips done and can't move them when they talk or smile I feel sorry for them.
