That carp you court is called a Ghost Carp over here in England, I don't know what you call it in japan though. Was a grate video today that looked like a fun fishing spot.

Nice lure. And good catch! You have it connected to your line like many Americans do, with a snap. I like using a open Knot instead because it gives the lure a more natural action. Rapala Knot or similar.

That Catfish was a Europen Wells. Dude in Japan you have so many Kinde of Fisch. Nice fishing 👍.
_Silurus_ fishes tend to have similar appearances, but that catfish is actually a native species.
Like the other guy said, it was not a wels. Eurasian catfish species most all have that distinctive look to them unlike American species.

-you can see on the vid there are only 4 barbels.
Silurus glanus have 6 barbels.

We call those carp “ghost” carp here in the uk a hybrid between koi and common carp.

What happened to the snake?
On 12:17 I think the carp was with a more golden color because of the mud on the river ( maybe I’m totally wrong because here in Brazil when the sea is dirty and we catch cat fish it comes in a golden yellow color). I hope this helps you! 🙂

多分釣れたコイは金兜っていう錦鯉だと思います。
