A group of people capable of empathy, caring and self-reflection, upon hearing this viral hypothetical, would say to themselves "Damn! What are WE as men doing so wrong that women would feel safer with bears than us?!" Not men though! Nope, as per usual, men's reaction is to refuse to take no for an answer even *in a hypothetical question* and then call us stupid. But you don't understand why we all said "bear." Make it make sense. You're illustrating our entire point and you don't even see it.
“What is a bear?” - Matt Walsh
lol
Whoever feels like one.
Carry a fiream, be the bear.
Then you could “bear arms”. Sorry.
“Are you out here walking alone?” “No, I have Smith & Wesson with me!” 😮
Years ago, I was traveling through The Great Smokey Mountains with my family when all of a sudden traffic came to an abrupt halt. People were out of their cars and some were talking about a bear. As I got out of the car with my camera, I stuck my Ruger Security Six .357 magnum in my belt and went to find the bear! It wasn't hard to find because of the large crowd watching a bear scratch his backside on a tree. AsI crouched down to snap his photo, someone kept tapping on my shoulder. To my surprise, it was a Park Ranger who asked, "What are you going to do with that firearm?" I replied, "That depends on the bear! He may not want his photo taken."
Hilarious…any woman (adult, human, female) that says she would rather run into a bear has never spent time in the mountains/outdoors.
My sister ran into a man, man was not a model citizen, 38 caused man to be a better person. I ran into a bear and I chased it to get photos of it. Situation awareness.
Im not sure you guys are approaching this topic the same way as much of the internet.
The question is directed towards women, asking if they would rather be alone in the woods with a bear or a man.
Men are being asked a variation, would you rather your daughter/wife/sister/etc.. be alone in the woods with a bear or a man.
Many say the bear.
My adult daughter posed this question to me as it would pertain to her. She said "Dad, if I was in the forest alone would you rather me be confronted by a bear or a man?" My answer was a man simply because I would feel bad if I had to kill a bear. He response was "Why does that not surprise me."
I can have a bear or a mountain lion walk across my backyard, on any given day. I've had a mountain lion kill my goats, while training her cubs to kill, and I've had a bear rip the wall off my chicken condo and eat them. I've also watched a bear walk up my hill to the back of the property, and I once was stalked by a mountain lion, before a deer got its attention (I haven't used my jacuzzi after that time). And California wants to take my firearms??? No, thank you California.
that's a lot of potentially dangerous animals. Do you carry often while outside on your property?
@@USCCAOfficial yes. I also keep an AR near by, along with bear spray. However, more bears will eat my chickens or go to the berry bushes, but a bear with cubs and all bets are off. Mountain lions will go after a dear or goats, before a person, but they will attack what is there, and convenient. Some mountain lions can also take a dislike for a particular type of animal, then they will kill that type of animal, just to kill it. The state trapper had to come out a few years back, to take out a male mountain lion that over a 4 year period had killed about 30 lamas. It did not eat them just ripped out their throats. The trapper did locate and kill it. He said it was the largest mountain lion he had ever seen. It's head and hind end hung off the sides of his tailgate. But normally a mountain lion will kill for food, or to train cubs how to kill. But whenever I find a deer, with the assistance end missing, I know there is a mountain lion in the area. It's an odd trait that the hind end is the cut of choice.
At times, I'll put up a trail cam, just to see what is in the area.
I'd go with being more like a bear - self-sufficient, strong, and ready to protect myself and loved ones.
Question is like a Rorschach test. Leaves too many things to the answerer's assumptions.
Or maybe leaves EVERYTHING to those assumptions.
I'd pick the man, but it's intriguing to see the comparisons.
I've been within 5' of a mountain lion. Hiking up a switchback, heard something above me, and saw the mountain lion taking off away from me. Luckily, i was in a hunting area that keeps the cougars afraid of humans and it wasn't hungry enough to risk attacking me. I had my G20 but pretty sure i would have been screwed if it had jumped me instead of jumping up to leave.

it has been decided, we are going to build a skyscraper apartment complex about a block over from us, right next to the pool.
There’s no trail in the question.
10mm🙋🏻♂️
I wish they would bring back the Bren Ten.
Here’s another similar debate… if you’re out urban exploring and happen to go trespassing into an abandoned building in the middle of the night, would you rather run into a crackhead, a ghost, or a police officer?
Ghost
Love you guys...... You're awesome!!!
Thanks for the support 🙂
Man. 9mm isnt recommended for bear.
Inc case you’re wondering, yes, this is just another example of feminism justifying its sexism towards men.
ManBearPig!
😂
CCW a chainsaw...
Nothing can withstand the chainsaw... lol
Not all bears are like that
YES! Why would you be hiking in the woods unarmed?!
What caliber do you have on you while out in the woods?
Because democrats
@USCCAOfficial if I have a 12 gage or .30 cal rifle, usually 9mm handgun. Otherwise, 10mm or .357.
What factors decide which options you carry?
@USCCAOfficial How remote is the location and what is the activity? Hunting in a State Park that has people on the trails in another part of the park, defending against 2 legged predators is in mind. Hiking in an area where I might encounter a 4 legged apex predator, were talking about calibers that could be used to hunt those critters. And then, of course, there's capacity.
Does that answer your question Kevin? Ed? I sense another video being planned on this topic.
The second woman with her headlights would help in the forest a man
So some young ladies would rather see a bear instead of a man in the woods...play Baldur's Gate 3 much?
Bears...protecting men from Shrews since 2024
How would a bear build a duck blind? 😆
Bearly
This is very silly

Hmm bears been here before humans not man (different species) before guns and humans almost Made every animal extinct. Wolf's, whales, etc I say the thing that came out of the cockazoid mountains that ate the Romans.
Someone watches the "Whatever" podcast :)
This trend is hilarious. I'd say "bear" just to get incels malding
BWOT.
How about a bare man?
No, thank you 😅
I just want to let you know you missed the point of the question. It is not click bait, it is about abuse. Which is more dangerous. Talk to a woman about being approached by a strange man in an empty parking lot and ask them how scared they are. You don’t know what a man is thinking, the bear is more scared of you than you are of it.
And shame on you former deputy sheriff. You ignored the point of view of the woman to make fun of the question. Wonder how your female victims felt about you…
I am going to need more info before I answer. Am I in a liberal state? Am I going to jail for defending myself either way? It is a man or a man in a skirt pretending to be a woman, or a woman pretending to be a man? If it is a real man vs bear, Man. If it a weirdo vs bear, I'll take the chances with the bear because I carry.
OMG! Please stop. No! Don't do stupid Tik-Tok trends on this channel. Great way to destroy your credibility.
bear everytime - bears have a natural fear of man (except mamas and grizzly types). bears will typically run from you, a man is dangerous b/c men have little fear of humanity.
Lame sauce lol

Why are you hiking with a firearm?
Why aren't you?
Because the constitution says I can 😊
