But what all this worth if you don’t have friends you don’t have fun you don’t try knew things explore, maybe do something that is not healthy but is healthy for your soul. This is literally to get ahead of 99% I just want a chance in tech, but I think people can pick and choose, I agree on exercise, eating right, showering, reason books and studying well. But games are literally what some people get into the field or it’s a good hobby. Drinking once in a while is fine, just be responsible, with age binge drinking just sucks but drinking an expensive wine is better. This advice is to make work and CS your whole life and it should just be a part of who you are. I will never give up my passion for watching TV, trying new games, hopefully I can get ahead of just the 40% 😂

I don’t think cutting out all video games is always a great idea because I use it as a social activity with my friends. It just needs to be controlled; like don’t spend 5 hrs straight playing games….

I agree but for most people they can't control it and it's actually just easier to cut it out completely sometimes

Sir I was so with you and thought yes this is exactly right and I am on the right track and I am an athlete and this is how I continue to do well and then you recommended me a book on attracting women. I commend you as this knowledge is often sorely lacking among us cs majors but please dude, realize that women are watching this video too :) I really thought wow he’s only talking to guys rn :( Love the video, just something to keep in mind?? Felt kind of left out for a hot second there 😅

This video is good, even great i would say. But remember everyone has a different story, a different upbringing, a different take on life. I guess how you brand the word “successful” and being ahead of everyone matters.
I grew up in a very conservative poor family in Nepal and now as a 30 year old farmer, just started to learn about computers. I am doing pretty well. I live up in the mountains and From farming and livestock i make around $17,000 a year which is no where close to $70,000 - $300,000. But it is a decent amount in a country where the minimum wage is $200 per month.
So things are different, there is not a golden rule that fits for all.
workout, stay fit, eat healthy, eat good thats great
But remember to Enjoy your life too.

Why get ahead of others when u can get ahead of yourselves? Getting ahead of our past self is far more motivating and longing than the later.
