Making music has actually gotten more easier through the use of DAWs but the traditional use of hardware and gear is being lost. Like for example, no one is interested in how exactly a compressor works, those are the ground roots of sound production. Shout out to sound engineers world wide.
I use Fl studio. Just ordered FL Keys mini. Can't wait to get it.

@@apotato5919 really most tutorials work on any daw. Train your ear for good sound selection and to be able to create good mixes n masters. Study your favourite songs to learn arrangement. Have vocals from popular songs that you put onto your beats to see if they are artist ready. Watch music theory videos or courses to understand most throw about terms and how to find the keys and chords. Start building a library of sounds r/drumkits is a good start
Crazy u made this tutorial. I had been using Soundtrap for around a year and It got my channel to 500 subs but literally 3 days ago I got FL studio. I do recommend soundtrap to anyone who is just starting off producing though and it is really easy to transition to fl studio after that. Thank you Jay Cactus for the amazing tutorials!

Love that you did this tutorial. I have been using Soundtrap for about 2 years since I could not get pro tools. Its super easy to use and they have updated a whole lot since I first started to use it. Very versatile. Great tutorial man, I always get inspiration watching these tutorials

I have primarily used Soundtrap as my go-to DAW. It's pretty good. I have made some decent drill beats on there as well as a lot of other genres. It's quite versatile, and the edu and premium versions have a wide selection of instruments. Considering it's made by Spotify however, I would expect some more features, like sidechain compression, and a wider range of automation. Overall pretty good though.

guys i have a question, i love producing but its a little hard for me to use fl at first, but this app that i saw was sooo easier to learn, the q is that idk this app is professional enough to start with?
It doesn't matter what you use, it is just how you use it.
I started making music on Traktion T7, then used FL studio 20 for 6 years before deciding to switch to Soundtrap for its efficiency. I literally only have FL for serum and that's it, which I rarely use anymore.

Garage band is a better free option for new producers I made some fire stuff on garage band before I switched to FL but soundtrap is just unusable for me and the drum kits and synth presets suck
