It was help full. I have 2003 ML500. You need to turn ignition key to position 2, press left side button on desk board twice, turn ignition key to zero position, hold left side button and turn ignition key to position to 2 again quickly. All these steps should be followed quickly. Your maintenance service mileage will get reset to 10,000. If it does not show 10,000 miles, try again. Sometime, you have to follow these steps two or three times.
I just did this with your video, and it worked perfect! Thanks I am hoping this helps with other possible mis codes given due to the service light. ( I did change my plugs, wires, EGR hose it was burned corroded, and the EGR valve ) I think the EGR was still good, but at the time auto parts store hinted at it being bad hmn ($300 part ) I will try codes again see if anything has changed. :D

Flexible Service System...reset. Ignition on. Information displayed a symbol of double wrench and code -91d...will try the deep reset...very quickly...and stay tuned ...keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks
I love when it gets exciting! Do you have a video on how to reset the Locking system? I changed the battery's and now the car will not lock. I have tried the reset that is in the manual, and it appears like it has registered because it locks or unlocks but will not work after that.

what a mess…sounds like incorrect ignition switch (maybe for other model), because it switches on incorrect electrical consumers…just a guess.
