Black Lagoon always was an intense experience. But whether it was the bigger dogs of Roanapur winning or the Lagoon Company pulling off a dramatic escape, the ending always served as a reminder: People don't just walk away clean from these. Dozens of people are dead. The living are only alive one more day before they have to do this all over again. This dark otherworld of gunsmoke and blood doesn't exist for heroes. Out there, there is no cause, no reward, no purpose. The only person you can rely on is yourself... at least, that's what people tell themselves.

Beautifully put. When this melody appears at the end for the first time, it hits hard. Feels exactly like what You described here. Even the melody itself-constantly falling, spiraling down, but still trying to get back up, until finally giving in.

This is such a beautiful cover it trully expresses the emotionnof wonder and depression that the original version is and even anime just wondering more and more each day in a world of depression. Tho on a halpy topic id love to hear your versions of on the precipice of defeat and creeping shaddows from bleach for i already know they will be beautiful just like this cover uwux3x3
