Tim S actually I have been very pleased with it. The metal tray slides right above the lights perfectly. I have a plug that drops from the ceiling for the pump. I then switch it over to the light plug when working on the cars. The only thing I could think of that would be better is to have either a longer power strip or two power strips for the front and back of the car.
The closest ramp I just plugged in and the other ramp I soldered on some extension wire so it would reach. I used some cable straps to hold the wire up on the beam.
Kevin Hale I drilled and tapped holes and used different flush mount bolts. I’m not sure but the rivets may not let you snap down the tray. Also, I forgot to put in the video to double up on the mounting brackets to support the tray better. The kit has enough brackets.
I did something similar but I used some aluminum rails that I bought from Lowes. I mounted the aluminum rails to the diamond plate surface using strong double sided tape. Then I mounted my LED strips to the aluminum rails. Here's a video review of my car lift that includes my LED strip lighting in case you're interested. ua-cam.com/video/vAJeDqJQ758/v-deo.html
I really like the power strip idea, Thanks for the video
Excellent work, and very glad to see it clears the sliding tray, I've been concerned about that.
Clean install ... sterling idea with the powerstrip. Thanks
Nice job, looks real good. Should help when repairing ur vehicle
Nice job, I intend to do this in the near future. Are you still satisfied? would you do anything different? Thanks for the post, Tim

Can you show the the led strip hook ups and how you carried the far ramp led strip wire over to the connections

I was going to do this until
I realized I have 2 sliding jacks that go on top
Do you still use the drip trays and place them over the LED's?
I don't think the drip trays are heavy enough to do any damage to these LEDs. I wouldn't slide the trays on them though.
Did you just drill through the steel channel and pop-rivet these on?

I just got all the components to do mine. I even got a rd remote control to activate them and control brightness.
Thanks for posting this!
