The nostalgia hit me like a fucking truck. I remember messing around with this sim when I was about 5. None of my friends in kindergarten knew what I was talking about 😂
Spent many hours on this game. Did scenery swaps with Flight Sim 98 as well as swapping planes. Dog fights in Manhattan. Cessna 182's with guns and rockets. Copied and pasted VOR files from FS98 into CFS1 so my lear jet could navigate in this game. Ad-on sceneries you could download. Btw, the texture files for building are bitmap, so it's easy to edit them and add things like writing on the walls.
Ugh i wish i could play this game today😪 i dont know how to get my joystick to work with it on my windows 10 pc. It’s probably just not supported by any of the drivers of today. if anyone knows id love to hear any tips
+SomethingNewEveryDay there's no reason that you couldn't do LAN with friends. Sadly though, any servers that may have existed are almost certainly gone now

The atmospheric sounds of the menu screens bring back many happy memories playing this as a kid.
Same!! The "Please Wait" menu took me back hard
This menu system is the single biggest reason I love sepia-tone photographs.

I remember playing this back in 1999-2003 a lot when I was in my early 20's.
I have some great memories about this sim. With a headset on that P-51 engine sounded really nice.
When I played this as a kid I thought it was the most realistic game ever
Interestling it's stiil is compared to many modern games
I loved this so much as a kid!
Brings back a lot of memories
I wish I still had that game. I would so play it though again and again and again.
there is a way to make it look less pixelated
For some reason 3D acceleration is turned off.
windows 7 playing the game i never thought that would work
Doing it too :D
Anthony Corbin Works even on Windows 10 64-Bit but the 2D cockpit is unstable. If you highlight an instrument, the games view will freeze.
I LOVED this
I randomly thought of this game today and i was like, I wonder if theres video of this ancient sim
This looks better than X-Plane 12 :)

Looks a little dated nowbut the gameplay is still good. Younger brother had this so when I was back home it was great to have a blast
