Wow, what a wonderful job you've done! Extremely nice details especially the fender shapes! I guess many of us have Bug stories... I've loved Bugs since my Dad's 63 which I drove for my 10th Birthday. I purchased a new 73 "Sport Bug" for commuting to college which I loved modifying through the years. Also had a 68 Square Back... but my 73 was my baby. Still miss her. :-)
Sweet build! I miss working on those things. Rebuilt my first Bug engine @16, and was hooked. But life gets in the way sometimes and its been a minute since I've had one.
Que belo trabalho, quanto capricho e bom gosto. Nunca tivemos o Volkswagen 1303 fabricado no aqui.. A Volkswagen nunca se importou em atualizar o carro no Brasil.
congrats, i had a '65 bug 38 years ago, replaced the engine, was in rough shape, ended up trading it even for a '70 Firebird. now i have a 10 year old, 1 liter smart, going on 79,000 miles, running strong, driving for UBER, 600 miles a week!
The original Herbie the love bug was outfitted with a 356 Porsche engine and transmission as well as the disc brakes. They wanted the race track scenes looking like.....well....a race track scene!
Absolutely amazing transformation!!! Well done!! BTW, do not drive it to Sweden, Greta and Co. might spot you and then you'll be in trouble :-) Enjoy your ride!!!
Very Nice! How much did you lower it cuz it looked like your using 255 40s on the rear? and the tires are hugging the fender wells. Great look. Where did you come across the brakes. Are those vw spindles, if not did they just bolt on or was there much modification.
lots of work and it came out beautiful but Porsche wheels and brake that's all ! I was hoping for a Porsche motor or full suspension. Great job with the rebuilding of your bug
I agree... Well done partial resto-mod. Would have liked to have seen a full Porsche suspension too. Not sure if it's shown somewhere else, but leaving the engine/transaxle corroded bare aluminum along with some of the other undercarriage parts is unfortunate. Overall though... What work done was done very well. Good job!
Napa auto parts i worked at, one of asst. mgrs that owns a Porche chastised other asst mgr for saying "Porch". Says, It's "Porche-a has e on end pronounced Porch-a(short a). So other asst mgr responds "Michael, please help(an other) this customer with his Dodge-a truck!" I BUSTED OUT LAFFING!!! 😥Then got written up. WORTH IT! Wheatridge store Denver Colorado (circa 2014-ish). (Got cancer 2016. Retired 2018, NOT EVEN A "THANK YOU", or DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT U ON UR WAY OUT! NOTHING!!! for many years of service from NAPA AUTO PARTS!!!)
I know it's 5 years old video, but I hope if people see all these great ideas they'll use them but there's one they need to get rid of putting an external oil filter right in the wheel well straight in the pan the flying rocks and road items find another place for that oil filter
it was fine 1303s big beetle, build for swedish market. It's a pitty that it won't be so unique anymore. A big beetle is rare, highest version of vw beetle. Most of them were painted in green metallic.
1- please learn how to video 2- learn music 3- "lipstick on a pig" comes to mind. But...what's important is that you did a good job, spent an awesome amount of money and you are happy with it! Stick dual turbos on it. Yeah.
I LOVE IT!!!! I love to update old cars and trucks with new technology. Totally fun upgrades!!!!

Very nice and well done. I’ve had my 1303 for 38 years and never get tiered of it. Hope you get as many years of pleasure out of yours.

This was a great video. It was like throwing nuggets of gold into a garbage can and then throwing the can into a lake.

Absolutely amazing transformation!!! Well done!! BTW, do not drive it to Sweden, Greta and Co. might spot you and then you'll be in trouble :-) Enjoy your ride!!!
Nice work , where You find the wheels ??
I am interested as well! I was talking to another company about this exact project!
Very Nice! How much did you lower it cuz it looked like your using 255 40s on the rear? and the tires are hugging the fender wells. Great look. Where did you come across the brakes. Are those vw spindles, if not did they just bolt on or was there much modification.
Nice work. I have VW sedan. In México say vocho. Great job
lots of work and it came out beautiful but Porsche wheels and brake that's all !
I was hoping for a Porsche motor or full suspension.

Parabéns ficou lindo demais
top work, simply beautiful!!
Congrats
Felicidades.....muy bonito vocho
Is that a brake line thru the firewall without protective a protective grommet? If so, it needs proper safety cushioning.
Very nice work. I hope you are enjoying the car. (is it me or are the front tires mounted in the wrong direction? visible at 5:12).
wow! vw with Porsche parts! amazing!!
Why do so many think that it gets better with caustic music.
Or is it a discovery event ....?
Cool car.......your tires are directional, and are mounted backwards. Just thought you should know.
WOW!! always wanted a “bug” powered by porshe. Nice Job
Who built your brackets to mount the Porsche calipers?
Muy buen trabajo!
its beautiful man ... i like
Fabulous work, l would like to have one like yours 👏🏻
Look at 5:13 the front tires are directional and they are on backwards. Hope they do not drive this in the rain or the front will hydroplane.
Test drive!!!!.... great job! 👍🏻
SIMPLY AWESOME!! I want one!
I know it's 5 years old video, but I hope if people see all these great ideas they'll use them but there's one they need to get rid of putting an external oil filter right in the wheel well straight in the pan the flying rocks and road items find another place for that oil filter
great machine!
hvorfor er det så viktig at det skal stå porsche på delene? finnes mye bra andre typer aftermarket deler.
Good work and up-gradation. What about performance and fruits of tons of labor.
Cool factor!
it was fine 1303s big beetle, build for swedish market. It's a pitty that it won't be so unique anymore. A big beetle is rare, highest version of vw beetle. Most of them were painted in green metallic.
But still this bug is unique with all this porsche parts. Great work !
Beautiful
Can you please tell about your feelings when it was absolutelt ready and you were driving first time ?
