Hi mork
its just the font that makes the O look like an I stop the violation
Imagine Loki's effect artist who keyframed everything manually instead of using this clever trick with Time Displacement.
That’s what I was thinking
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have the job if they didn't know about tricks like this
They definitely knew, they just chose not to use it
I know the one
Marvel: what font should we use for intro sequence?
Also Marvel: ¿Por qué no los dos?
Loki budget...
$50 mil cast
$49 mil fonts
So that’s where all their budget went
$300 mil on the last episode, damn
XDD
@@BenMarriott man I need your help! How can I make a texture base like you did??
As soon as I saw the Loki intro for the first time, with the low animation-style frame rate and the dust/grain textures, I thought to myself: "Did Ben Marriott make this??"
Wow that is genius, awesome tutorial!
Thanks, my friend! That means a lot coming from you :)
Thanks so much!
hi dope motions
@@BenMarriott hey man do provide font face also
Awesome channel mate
For a few weeks now I've been watching Loki thinking, "I need to try and recreate this." and here you've done it! I'm so happy
Amazing! Such a good series
The stylization from this tutorial is exactly what I was looking for. you’re the best!❤️🔥
Hey Ben, just wanna say that i've been following these tutorials for a long time now and you've essentially taught me how to use After Effects and I really appreciate all you do. I wish you all sorts of success
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had been searching for a tutorial on this since Loki started airing.
I don't work in After Effects alot but I watched this whole video from start to end without skipping because it was so interesting seeing just a black background slowly turning into the Loki Intro
I'm so glad I found your channel!! I'm slowly getting into animation and you've inspired me to get better! And it's so nice to meet a fellow Sydney creator 🔥
So good! Love the intro sequence and you nailed it, especially the textures.
Oh my god man, your tutorials are simply the best, absolute quality content available for everyone
Only half way through but who knew this was the tutorial I needed! So awesome! Thanks for this!
Every time I watch the sequence I’ve often wondered how they made this. I was assuming they just key framed it all but the way you have set it up makes a lot of sense and seems like how they actually did it since it reflects the accuracy of the original with the precise frame swapping. Excellent tutorial!
Amazing tutorial!
I love your work 😭😭😭 keep making great videos!!!
Man, it's amazing what expressions can do to make your work easier. Great stuff!
I was about to press like button for 3 times, man, thanks for this tutorial!)
Man you read my mind, I love that title sequence so much.
Another thing to note for those who want to recreate it that wasn't touched on in the video: The glow effect applied to the text changes to be more or less intense when the characters swap. This will help add even more variety to the text. (But don't be afraid to play around with it, the more creative you get with it, the better)
AH, so excited to try this out! Such a cool opening sequence - thanks once again for the superb content!
I love this opening sequence! Thanks for this!
I love it too, so subtle compared to the Marvel Studios title
You are really amazing! Thank you so much for this! I honestly thought this was simpler than it actually turned out to be with all the textures & effects.
What I like about this tutorial is he also explains the reason behind the action, which really helps when you're a beginner!!
Amazing as always Ben!! Thank you!
Wow! I didn't knew I could use Posterize Time as an expression! Thank you so much Ben!
Watching your videos have really awakened my design sharingan. I have a much better understanding of After Effects thanks to your tutorials.
this guy makes the best videos.
thats amazing, i was thinking how to do that and u came with this wonderful tutorial, thanks a lot
Epic work dude as usual , i really love a little small detail, how you type when you Compare (OUR VERSION) means a lot, and more things you do means you're a beautiful person, thanks and good luck
All new Displacement Map concept for me! Thanks for sharing.
I can't believe that I was exactly looking for thisss

Wow Ben. This was an awesome one. Such a great and simple intro sequence and you matched it perfectly. Not sure if I would use it, but I really want to create a version.
bro you are truly awesome!!!!
Phenomenal, and you explained everything so well 🙏🏽
Awesome tutorial Ben. I feel like that everything in AE is controllable with black and white values, so many effects depend on that. It is awesome if you get the hang of it, it opens an even bigger After Effects libary
awesome work as always! Thank you!
Awesome work!! 🔥

I've learned something new again. Thank you!
I feel like UA-cam is reading my mind because I was just thinking of making an intro like the one from Loki
UA-cam oversteping the line with the mindreading tbh
@@BenMarriott Or read my YT comment about using a previous Marriott technique to make this Loki effect.
It's all UA-cam Algorithm

Very great video keep it up! you inspire me to learn illustration and digital art :)
Ben! This is incredible! I tried to come up with a solution for a similar effect where letters shift between thin, normal, bold, heavy, etc but it was nowhere near as elegant.
Very Cool!
