I started watching you from New Zealand and I love all you do ..love learning from you . I have started to build my low brush fence with wild willow .. and its so beautiful. My garden is my world .. and my animals make it home. I love seeing all your animals around the place. I used to live on farms but now live in a tiny tiny rural town which I really struggled with .. but now I have told myself to create the world I really want with what I have.. and you have inspired me. I watch you as I sew and crochet in the evening and you give me home of a lovely garden without having to spend heaps. I always wanted a garden of my own and now I have one.. thank you Jeri for your company and your inspiratuon... my dogs get very excited by your peacock sounds.. xx from New Zealand.
Susanna, So glad to have you here. If I didn't live on a farm, I would choose a tiny rural village as you now live in. It's so good to know that we can all have our own garden to with whatever we like. One of my first gardens was only about 10' square, but it was one of the prettiest little patches ever! One needn't be wealthy or masterful at gardening to make a sweet retreat of plants and structures. It's one of the reasons I do video's; I want everyone to know that THEY can have a garden with just a bit of effort. So glad you made the wattle fencing, you are very lucky to have willow; it's long lasting. Cheers to you and your dogs! You made me laugh with that last remark!
You and your husband, did a great job! Your potting bench with sink, looks nice. Love the way, you arrange things. I like the 'stain' you chose. Does make a nice, contrast. ❣️🐈😀👍
Your garden is simply breathtaking. Hubby did an amazing job on the potting bench...of course you styled it to perfection. Thank you for sharing all your devine inspiations.
As an intermittent gardener during my adult life, I have wanted a potting bench for years but never felt it demanded being at the top of the list since I gardened in fits and starts around work and family. Now retired, I’m loving the gardening content on line and learning so much. I found your channel a couple of weeks ago. Your potting bench, sink, cabinets, shelves are all I could dream of! One more project for my husband to help me with! We both might be happier if my accumulation of pots, seed, tools, soil, etc had it’s own place to live. I’m going to start searching for an old sink for starters. Love your channel.
Love ! Love! Love! Thanks for sharing your life with us!! Your world is beautiful! We would all love to live in that world!!! Especially now with the world so chaotic
My husband recently built me a large shop off the garage that goes out to our garden. We have one of these sinks that is going in it. Your videos have given me so many ideas of how I can use the overflow of old collected things in my potting and project shop and cottage plantings on the outside. Winter wont seem so long as I will be planning the space for spring!! Thank you for sharing. You are so talented.
Janette, You will breeze through winter filling it with ideas and plans and projects... especially with a new building to work with. That is always exciting!
Oh my goodness Jeri, What a beautiful job James did on your potting bench. I love your gardens. It’s such a pleasure for me to find one of your videos in my inbox. ☺️❤️💖💕💜💗👍😍🥰 You never cease to amaze me of all you do.. Highly inspiring for sure! Take care and God Bless, Chris-Raleigh NC
Poppies & Daisies my two most favorite flowers. Followed by White Foxglove with purple dots inside. No one can best your gardens Jeri. You never fail to amaze & inspire. I have a small potager with little ornamental animals peeking out under flower bushes and iris beds everywhere and a bench with a blue & green throw and a fake curled up ginger tomcat sleeping on it. It makes my neighbor smile. A good life is a garden life and a good garden is more than just about plants. A good garden tells a story of joy.
Jennifer, I have to agree on the poppies and Foxglove, Such great flowers. Your garden seems delightful to me and I totally agree on your philosophy on garden life, very true!
What a wonderful job James did on potting bench,,it makes garden work even more enjoyable when you have something beautiful to work from and a place to keep all the lovelies needed for task at hand. Everything turned out splendid.. thank you for the inspirations.
What a beautiful, beautiful potting bench and how lovely that your husband made this for you. And I loved how you dressed your new piece with your usual artistic flare and made your potting bench a delight for the eye. I'm so inspired to try my hand at something like this but on a much smaller scale. This just adds more charm to your already magical home and gardens.
Oh, What a wonderful Hubbie! He knows your style! I love everything you did to decorate it. My hub took the stainless steel sink that we took out of kitchen when remodeled and built a wood base for it so I could use the hose to pre-rinse veggies. It is no where near as beautiful as yours but functional. He is building me a greenhouse now - maybe I can have him create something like this for in there! I just love the ideas you two come up with! Thanks for sharing!
Cynthia, You must have a super hubby too, since he is building a greenhouse for you! Mine has talked of doing the same... but I have mixed feelings about a greenhouse. A potting bench would be an essential ingredient in your greenhouse, for sure.
I too have little garden rooms, gardening is a daunting task here in Phoenix Az. My garden rooms all have some sort of water features, water falls, fish ponds all not just for their beautify or their sounds, but for the most important feature they add moistness to this arid hot desert. Not to mention the sea of 9’ umbrellas. I can grow my precious shade loving plants. My poor citrus trees that are some what shaded get burned. As a gardener living here summer gardening is before the sun comes or after the sun goes down. Then winter comes and I say Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ! Now I can be in the garden all day.
Hi Jeri. I am in awe of your (and James' ) talent. I guess James is a keeper! ; ) Beautiful potting bench and beautifully merchandised ...You are right of course. Gardening is an art and is the unique expression of the gardener. I look at my gardens and remember what they were like when I purchased the house...now a HOME. My gardens may not be everyone's taste and that's OK. They are mine. And like your gardens and ALL beautiful gardens mine are continually changing. I remember a quote but don't remember who said it. Someone asked a gardener when his garden would be "finished". The gardener's reply was, " Never I hope"! So for you my hope is that your garden is NEVER "finished". Thank you for sharing your art with the entire world.
Randy, Truly, a persons garden is their own self expression and not to everyone's liking. There are certain colors and plants I actually REALLY dislike, and would never put in my own garden, but they are dandy in someone else's plot. Many ppl do not like my garden style, because it is very jostled and wild looking, but that's okay. A gardener can never finish a garden, because we always say to ourselves, "Next year it will be even better!" There is always a new rose to try, or a fruit tree to plant or an heirloom Tomato or colorful Pepper... It never ends.
Good Morning Jeri Wow what an amazing potting bench* you both did such a great job with it. Love it stained. Love the vintage windows. Love how you decorated it. What an enjoyable video* I have never grown Canterbury bell flowers, Now I must*** they are gorgeous* have a great day, enjoy this beautiful spring weather deezie
Hi Deezi, now is a good time to plant some Canterbury bell seed in trays, because they will overwinter in your garden as young plants and bloom next year..
Wow! First off what a great husband you have… So loving of him to build you such an amazing piece. I have always wanted one of those big sinks. It turned out beautifully. I hope you have a wonderful time utilizing it throughout the growing seasons ahead. I am hoping to build something much more rustic than this as a vegetable cleaning station. I find that my kitchen garden produces so much, that I end up spending more time indoors processing than I do outdoors. I want to remedy that by having an out door cleaning and processing station for all the veggies. This has been a good inspiration for me to get going on it. As always thank you for your lovely videos… I can’t find anything else quite like them on all of UA-cam.
Trish, I am glad you have that many vegetables to clean! My veges are not nearly as abundant as my flowers, I hang my head in shame. So delighted that you appreciate the videos, and I HOPE you will create a super vegetable cleaning center, OUTSIDE, with lots of rustic charm!
😄 I hope to have lots of flowers too...but at this point in my life...with two hungry teenage boys...food is at the utmost highest need!😂 In fact...they may need to pitch in and help my husband and I build it!😉
The potting bench/hutch is simply beautiful! You & your husband did an amazing work! Again, I love your videos! The way you film everything is perfect and I like that you are not “all over the place” but stick to subjects we love. I of course, am reminded of Beatrix Potter, also Tasha Tudor, but you are completely Jeri Landers in style & art. You are inspiring me to keep going in my varied interests- especially gardening! With cancer diagnosis, I began thinking I should get rid of things ( regretting the old windows, wood cookstove, Iron well pump... we had a big sale and I stiill have a lot, believe me! 😆) but they are just things- faith & family are what matters most😊 But still, you are inspiring me in that I can keep looking for lovelies at yard sales etc, that it’s ok. I will be focusing on things for garden. You are a mentor for me! Thank you SO much! 💙
Rose, I can't tell you how much this comment means to me. If I can inspire anyone to use their imagination and a bit of work and creativity to enhance their surroundings and add a touch of joy to life, I am thrilled!
I am watching your videos over and over again, really enjoy them . Just saw the potting bench one that your husband built. It is very creative and so useful. It’s a beautiful cozy piece.😊
How you find the time to do the things you do amazes me. You’re so detailed with everything. Your illustrations are wonderful in your books too. So full and active. Like it’s a real place. You should do narrated videos like I used to see of books when I was a kid. Remember reading rainbow? The camera would slide across the pages while the narrator talked. Basically just like your book sneak peeks. One day when I finish our farm house I’m going to build my wife a greenhouse of glass and wood. She would love it. She’s very similar to you. Details matter. She’s also very artistic. I’m a builder/fixer. I just don’t have the eye for that stuff I guess. Lol. Thank you for sharing your ideas and also thank you to your husband for showing his very nice craftsmanship.
Oh Yeah, you are restoring that wonderful house! I need to catch up on your videos. I remember Reading Rainbow and would love to do a reading video like that, here on my channel. Hey, being a builder/fixer married to an artistic person is a perfect combination... that's husband and myself as well. He wants me to have a greenhouse, but I have mixed feelings on that.. maybe one day; of course, it would have to be super special!
OH WHAT FUN! You are sO Blessed! I love that you didn't paint the windows! You're so creative. I love the sink and the shelves. And the legs are wonderful! The stain is also perfect. The bunny soap dish. The lighting at The finishing view is also beautiful!! The blues are deep blue. Thank You for sharing! I love it!!!
Aww finally a beautiful face behind that soothing calm voice that everybody loves .Just wanted to tell you to try pouring milk that's gonna go bad but hasn't yet on you iris's and roses all flowers . My flowers are huge ! My mum's and iris's are 5'5 feet high flowers love milk ! My granny taught me that she was 98 years old when she passed away just a few years ago .I miss her dearly but her advice on the milk really did wonderful for my flowers ☺
Jeri your garden and whole homestead is just magical!!!!! You and your husband are just amazing!!!!! I just want to get lost wandering around your gardening listening to all the critters!! 💗💕💞🌸
The new/old potting bench is gorgeous great job on both design and decorating. I never realized your hair was so long it looked so beautiful in the video made me think the way women use to wear their hair. My granny kept hers up until night time then it would come down out of the bun she wore and it was so long and beautiful.
Karen, Thanks! I'm one of those older women who will never cut her hair; I'd rather braid it and wrap it around my head when I'm ancient and still have my crowning glory!
Victoria, I'll tell James you said so; he often belittles his carpentry skills but I think he always does a fine job of creating something really neat.
Jeri, what can I say. I enjoy you so much, I think you are so special, a free spirit, creator, human butter fly, everywhere you go you add beautify. Your artwork, creatures, all the things you touch see to be just magical. Thank you for being so kind as to let us look through the keyhole.
So enjoy your garden tours and designs. Your sweet tea parties and just wanted to let you know that you inspire me so much creativity in your beautiful spaces. Your a brilliant gardener snd have captured your love for all things beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
Absolutely LOVE this potting bench! What an awesome idea! James did a wonderful job and, of course, your decorative touches were the icing on the cake!
A real masterpiece!!! The sink reminds me of my Mom's, washed many a dish there!! James did a fantastic job and know you will enjoy it for a long time.
Oh, how wonderful! You inspire me with every video! I've put in seeds and blubs that I've never used before, but mine were $0.25 per pack at the dollar store. I'm also making a walking path with free reclaimed bricks. Finally, I'm making a raised bed with free wood from my neighbor to plant zinnias in memory of my two goldens, littermates Lincoln and Addie, that I lost last August and December! They brought so much fun and joy to my life!
Laura, Now that pleases me to no end that you've tried new things in your garden! That's what gardeners love to do, inspire and be inspired! Sorry for your pooches, ours are getting older now...
Very nice potting shed and studio. Everything has so much character, I love it❣️ By the way I have a sister named Jeri. She likes to garden, does hand crafts, and sells her crocheted dolls. I’m a painter/crafter and seamstress. I’ve also enjoyed making wood and cloth dolls. I used to work at Michael’s as their Event Coordinator in charge of the classroom. I taught most of the classes there. I really loved it. Take care Jeri, I’ll be watching for your next video.
Fabulous! I wish I had the sun to grow all of those luscious flowers... partial shade is the best I can hope for in this mountainous lake community that surrounds me... we have our share of great plants but OH! Those flowers!
Oooh I love it! It's perfect. I've been searching for a sink like that. No luck so far but I'll keep looking. Thanks for the fun and interesting video. 🥀💜
Beautiful video as always. Here in Cornwall in the UK, the autumn sun is shining while I sew and watch your wonderful videos. Thank you for sharing. Can’t wait yo watch the next one!
Oh my, Jeri!!!! What an amazing collaboration you and James embarked on. It's absolutely stunning!!! I love the mix of the vintage sink, reclaimed windows and chunky wooden legs. But what you are able to create with all the precious garden accoutrements....well, it's just magic. Your eye for detail, and ability to tell a story with beautiful and charming objects makes my heart smile. I love your potting bench so so so much!!!!!🌸🌺🌷🥀🌹
What a beautiful garden station your husband planned for you! And love the stain. 100% agree, the color does add to your otherwise green decor...it gives a warm lived in feel to the space. I love how you produce your shows. I just forget everything and your soothing voice is so calming that you actually relax me! It's amazing effect. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 and love your bouquet. Maybe you can add script on the video when you name your flowers? It's a great feature for viewers to 1) know the spelling to look up if we want to have it in our garden and 2) easier to screen capture the image with the script than trying to write it down or remember it associated to the image. Thank you again!!
Ash, Indeed, that stain color worked out so well by adding the warmth to the space. So pleased that the video are relaxing, it's been mentioned to me before and I find that very nice to know. I really should have scripted the flower names on this video, I usually do that, but got lost in my editing. If there is one you need the name of, let me know!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow it's just a request! I very much enjoyed your well edited curated video. The production is great. And I appreciate your efforts 100%. I know, as a gardener youd rather be getting dirty than editing in front of a computer. Lol. Keep doing it your way!! 🙌🙌🙌
Oh my, I'm so jealous, I absolutely love it! He done a beautiful job, practical, and so pretty, I'm sharing this on my Facebook page...whip-poor-will holler, xoxoxo
Jeri, I love your potting bench! It’s so unique, very special, and you two did a beautiful job! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video with us.💚
Sally I'm putting this bench to use nearly every day.I only wish my little white hen,Peggy, had not discovered it. She thinks the top is a nice place to roost at night and keeps knocking things about.
Jeri your hubby done a wonderful job on your potting bench. I love the way you do your gardens, whimsical , peaceful, and pure joy. Thank you so much for your sharing.
But I love your garden potting area but your husband made an amazing job for you. And love how it make it so pretty. I think the very same. Love bunch of stuff
Ive watched almost all your videos, hope you post more soon and by the way ...I have never seen such a glorious mop of hair as you have, it is beautiful.
That is so freaking cute!!!! Don’t you just want to sleep out there and look at it all night! I use pool shock to bleach out really bad stubborn stains. I use it to clean mildew and acid rain off my outdoor furniture and white painted porch railings. It is way stronger than regular household bleach and works great, I mix it with water and only use it outside where there is plenty of air circulation. Although I have used it in the washing machine on occasion. 😄
you and i are sisters from another mister! everything you have on your shelves, I either have to want or love! I also have a old sink that my hubby is about to make into a potting bench. it was my grandmothers and looks almost like yours. thanks for the inspiration. oh, and your flowers are lovely too!
Your potting bench is fantastic. It has inspired me to do one. I have placed an old vintage mailbox in my yard near my gardens and that is where I keep my gardening tools. I love that but would love to do as u have with hooks to keep some on the potting bench as well.
I just love your videos. When I am ready to sit down to relax. I turn to your UA-cam channel. I also like your art, I purchased two of your books. The Blue Bunny’s and Hop a Long Jack. They are Beautiful. The Potting Bench is great. I would love to have it.I know you will enjoy it forever.
Carol, Thanks for buying the books, please check the video next week as I'll be having an art giveaway. That bench will be put to good use for many years!
I just found you on UA-cam and I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’m so inspired to turn my small porch into a “potting porch”. Now on to watch another video of yours!
I had an old sink like that, and the best way I found to get stains out was to fill it with boiling water and add a lot of bleach. Let it sit overnight. It won't take away calcium deposits but it will get rid of stains. If you have chips in the enamel the bleach might make it rust, so you'll need to get rid of that and then seal the chips somehow. Love your potting bench! Enjoy!!!
Jeri, your Potting Bench is Phenomenal!! Your hair is equally amazing (caught a glimpse ; ) I'm learning so much from you. I realized that I share many of your interests and affection for nature and how it can be used to create special points of interest in decorating my Apartment house and covered porch. * I'm so Happy and Blessed to have recently found your channel. . .a true GOD-Send ; )
I absolutely love it!!! I have a small garden tools bookshelf by my front door. And I’m in the process of building a larger one on my art Studio’s porch that over looks my goat yard. A girl friend suggested your channel to me I’m hooked! I’ll be watching. Your cottage garden is stunning!!
Loved this video.my husband and I are currently working on my potting shed and my 5 awesome children went together for Mother’s Day to buy me an antique seed box.I saw yours and just loved it!Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.ps.bought one of your book.love from Canada 🇨🇦
Laurie, You do have an awesome family and it's not easy to find those seed boxes these days, so glad you got one! You'll love your potting shed, make sure it has a lot of air coming in.Mne was always TOO hot, that's one reason I moved my potting chores to the porch.
This video is so timely. I am in chanted with having a potting sink or a garden sink and I found one that was for free that had some chips and cracks in it and I just love your ideas and I’m going to try to utilize some of them thank you for this video
Beautiful from beginning to end. What a special piece that is. You’re so blessed to have such a talented husband. He could probably make a living selling them!
Theresa, He doesn't think he has any special carpentry talents, and just builds me things as a labor of love. I'm always amazed when the item is finished, but he shrugs if off as just average.
Wow I was so happy to see this video pop up…since now we’ve moved to our mountain cottage in Tennessee! I will get my falling apart potting bench still back in Illinois
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow …Oh WOW how exciting, I can’t wait for that one too!! So much to do gardening wise and now repairs on the house starting this week 🤞and not being able to stay here will work is being done! But I have faith it will all be okay 👍🏻! Thanks for replying to me ⛰ Carolyn
Love the camera work in this vid... fades to different scenes while filling the cabinets with books and nick nacks. Love seeing the work being done and the finished product. Very inspiring! Thank you for your videos.
Gorgeous potting area... It turned out great,...I can almost smell those beautiful flowers. I share a shed with all the garden things like garden tractor, mowers, tiller, etc, and I really want a pretty space like yours... You have given me food for thought...and a visual I can show my husband. Thank you for another lovely video! Dale from Canada
Hi Dale, If there is one thing gardeners are good at, it's waiting. It won't take up much space in your shed and I hope your husband will build you something nice.
Yes he loves projects! the engineer in him! I feel I need a greenhouse here as our winters are long - can be 6 months long! Our summers tend to be cool too - esp. at night (great for sleeping but not tomatoes) I will grow all my warm weather crops in greenhouse. He designed it in a gothic style so snow will slide off - no worries about the weight of snow hurting it. I am pretty excited! Enjoy your lovely porch and new bench!
Cynthia, As you should be excited, I'm excited FOR you! Love the Gothic style.. you must send me a picture when it's finished. It makes sense for you to have a greenhouse in your climate; ours is just too hot. However, I have taken over our MUD ROOM as my "poor woman's conservatory" to do my winter gardening.
I love this! I saw someone had made a faucet out of copper pipes & it had patina over time. Something like that might work for you & it won't break the bank!
Omygosh sometimes i comment too soon because i get so happy but i loved everything that i had commented on earlier and then i saw your arrangement & i just paused at how gorgeous & simple your arrangement of flowers. Thank you thank you. And, thank you for sharing. I find peace at the sounds that surround your garden and the love of the flowers in your garden - we are too trying to build a garden with no certain shapes just love of flowers ours will take a while. My hubby makes the containers for me (he's come around to loving gardening)... I love your videos because i too like like things not so stiff--no particular way i just like them.. where i place them or where it pleases me... i also like animals but I don't believe we can have them here! happy flowers!
Aurora, I like your enthusiasm! Gardens do take years to create; we just took it a step at a time. As you plant the things you love, building garden structures, paths and fences.... bit by bit; eventually, it all comes together to create a beautiful picture! I am so happy your husband wants to garden with you!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow We've had this house for many years with many stories & some not so good but I've always tried to go at my garden by myself but life my work and just things... happen but now we are in a place where our our house & garden feel good in our hearts. our plants are young but we are learning & we see beauty where others may think its common place. i love the mornings - full of life. My husband gets to enjoy it during the day---or he says I have been working on the garden all day... & I walk again, water them if I can, and weed them constantly. It gives me peace... we buy plants that are in distress & bring them back to life. My kids (out of the house & grown) say we are plant doctors. I have no idea but i read a lot which helps me to nurture them. Sometimes we listen to you in our car... I say i want to hear something "good" & he knows exactly what I mean. It brings us peace to listen to you. I am going to see if i can have at least one chicken... our neighbors are very stuffy. thank you for your videos!
Aurora, It's a marvelous task to bring a sickly plant back to health, perhaps you ARE plant doctors. Seems that gardening brings pleasure in so many different ways; it soothes, delights, invigorates, provides, and amazes us! So nice of you to listen to my vids, even in the car! I hope you can have a nice little hen or two; many towns are allowing it these days and chickens can have such personality.
Binge watching old episodes.....just love this idea repurposing an old cast iron sink, windows...and turning into functional art!
Me too! What kind of roses are those? Absolutely beautiful!

I'm certainly ready for the colder temps. Love this time of year.
Someone asked
a gardener when his garden would be "finished".
I think your James is also an artist.
I Agree!
Good Morning Jeri
Wow what an amazing potting bench* you both did such a great job with it. Love it stained. Love the vintage windows. Love how you decorated it. What an enjoyable video* I have never grown Canterbury bell flowers, Now I must*** they are gorgeous* have a great day, enjoy this beautiful spring weather
deezie
Hi Deezi, now is a good time to plant some Canterbury bell seed in trays, because they will overwinter in your garden as young plants and bloom next year..
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Thanks Jeri I will do that*
I love the potting bench. What a creative idea. Of all the gardening videos yours are the best, Jeri. I really enjoy them.
Thank you so much!
It's such a wonderful work station, I love it... and love my husband for building it for me!
i cannot be the only one 'green' with envy...its perfect .
Such a beautiful potting bench with all of your garden touches ....the very best that I have seen . Such a feast for the eyes and soul .
🌺🌸🌷🥀☀️🐇🦋🐝
My husband builds such clever things, i love it.
Oh how clever are you and your husband! I just adore your new potting bench. Have a wonderful day.
That is very interesting, I will try it on my roses. The dogs won't be pleased, they like left-overs.
Jeri your garden and whole homestead is just magical!!!!! You and your husband are just amazing!!!!! I just want to get lost wandering around your gardening listening to all the critters!!
💗💕💞🌸
Suzanne, Thankyou! Oh those critters, I am so used to them, I barely hear them anymore.
Perfect. Love the stain. I’m sure you will spend many hours getting lost in “planting mode”. 😊🥀🌺🐝
The bench is so lovely and practical at the same time. Love your artistic touches! 👍🍁
Only Jeri’s potting bench is magazine worthy. Love your style and beautiful hair by the way. Been waiting for your videos. Tfs cheers
Wow, thank you!
Super cute table sink he made and the stain is beautiful on it.
I am new to your channel and I am so much enjoying the visit. What a beautiful home and gardens. Thank you very much for sharing with us all.
So enjoy your garden tours and designs. Your sweet tea parties and just wanted to let you know that you inspire me so much creativity in your beautiful spaces. Your a brilliant gardener snd have captured your love for all things beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome!
Beautiful, its amazing what your husband created, ready for more gardening, thank you for sharing x🌻
He's a great sport, I supply the idea and he pulls everything together.
When i saw your sink after he placed the windows it took my breath away-so lovely & fun! it's beautiful art!
Aurora, We had to experiment with those windows, not really knowing how he would use them... it worked out well.
Absolutely LOVE this potting bench! What an awesome idea! James did a wonderful job and, of course, your decorative touches were the icing on the cake!
It is so convenient and has so much charm, that it makes me WANT to pot plants all day long, even if I don't need to!
A real masterpiece!!! The sink reminds me of my Mom's, washed many a dish there!! James did a fantastic job and know you will enjoy it for a long time.
Angel, My friend remembers her gramma washing her hair over one like this.
Everything has so much character, I love it❣️
By the way I have a sister named Jeri.
Thanks for joining us here!
Oh my word I want to live there! It almost brought a tear to my eye.
Glorious decorating your potting bench!! Love your videos!! So many wonderful ideas!!
Fabulous! I wish I had the sun to grow all of those luscious flowers... partial shade is the best I can hope for in this mountainous lake community that surrounds me... we have our share of great plants but OH! Those flowers!
Now I have a lot of trouble finding beautiful shade plants, with a few exceptions. I bet you have marvelous ferns and mushrooms growing!
Greetings to you in Cornwall, a place I would love to see oneday.
I love your potting bench so so so much!!!!!🌸🌺🌷🥀🌹
Sharon, thank you so much! This has been such a great addition to our porch and a super work area; I just smile every time I see it!
Your husband is a jewel. The flowers are absolutely gorgeous. Love the old sink potting bench. The way you decorated it is fantastic!!!
Linda, He IS a jewel for humoring my fancies and bringing the ideas to fruition.
Oh man, I love that sink. Built to last!
😍😍😍😍 what a beautiful place to be. The hubby did an amazing job with the bench and of course the way you placed your things are beautifully done.
Thank you so much!!
Oh my, I'm so jealous, I absolutely love it! He done a beautiful job, practical, and so pretty, I'm sharing this on my Facebook page...whip-poor-will holler, xoxoxo
I would be jealous too if it wasn't already mine!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Hahaha!
Just wanted to tell you around 65 yrs ago my mom an grandfather built the mobile home park our family owned, she named it whippoorwill....
@@itsmewende wow, so neat! We listen to Whippoorwills everynight, and early in the morning, beautiful., xoxoxo
Jeri, that's sweet and funny! Our animals are so smart. Have a wonderful week and congratulations on the new grand baby!🐔🌿🌺
Jeri your hubby done a wonderful job on your potting bench. I love the way you do your gardens, whimsical , peaceful, and pure joy. Thank you so much for your sharing.
Life with Briars, The gardens are pretty joyful and jubilant for sure...and the beauty of it is that anyone can do it!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollowYour channel has opened up a new world to me, I really thank you.
I live your potting bench and the idea to use old canning jars for seed storage!
Great bench! I rescued an old sink years ago and plan on building a planting bench with it.
We've got another one up in the barn, hopefully will use in the laundry room or a new bathroom.
Nancy, so many suggestions from you all< I am sure to have the cleanest, shiniest sink in town!
you and i are sisters from another mister! everything you have on your shelves, I either have to want or love! I also have a old sink that my hubby is about to make into a potting bench. it was my grandmothers and looks almost like yours. thanks for the inspiration. oh, and your flowers are lovely too!
Trudy, your sink potting bench will be even more special in that it's an heirloom, how nice!
Kelly, so glad you got some ideas from this post, I love doing the potting on the porch, so convenient!
Looks like a wonderful new potting bench. TFS
Enjoy!!!
Marcy, lots of good ideas for cleaning the sink, one of them is bound to work!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! "THANKS "AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH US.
Susan, thanks for coming along on the build!
Thank you for sharing this video Jerri. I love the potting bench and how you dressed it, you and your husband are both so creative. Blessings, v
You are so welcome!
Your new potting bench looks amazing! I love how you used old windows and reused a cast iron sink. The décor items are so perfect!
Beautiful and handmade for you! How very special!
Nick, it meant a lot to me that he created such a perfect item from old, imperfect things.
I love it!! You so fortunate to have a talented husband!
And willing. But Jeri has "the eye".
Very practical and beautiful at the same time...worthy of your special spot on the porch...
Janice, It's a permanent fixture now, in the right place.
Lemon paste cleans beautifully
Jeri, your Potting Bench is Phenomenal!! Your hair is equally amazing (caught a glimpse ; ) I'm learning so much from you. I realized that I share many of your interests and affection for nature and how it can be used to create special points of interest in decorating my Apartment house and covered porch. * I'm so Happy and Blessed to have recently found your channel. . .a true GOD-Send ; )
You can have a lot of fun with that porch space!
Scarlett, it's handy to have the garden tools by the front AND back doors, for certain. So nice to have you here at Hopalong Hollow!
Have you ever grown Love-Lies-Bleeding? I adore it. Your bouquets are so pretty and your sink is perfection.
I'm sure I planted the seed last year, and nothing grew. I have a 1'4 lb bag of the seed, Amaranthus... I will try again this year.
I hope you get as much enjoyment from your potting sink as I do!
You are so talented and artistic. It's a pleasure watching your videos.😃❤️
Welcome Home! I am revamping my real potting shed back to it's original purpose this week.

Gorgeous! I use old windows for everything! Just be safe and check for lead paint. Love your channel!
Love it! My hubby built my potting bench and I love it but, the only thing missing is a sink.
You must find one, it is so convenient with your potting chores!
Love the camera work in this vid... fades to different scenes while filling the cabinets with books and nick nacks. Love seeing the work being done and the finished product. Very inspiring! Thank you for your videos.
North Texas, Hey, thankyou! I try to be a little artistic with the videos, if I can manage it.

it looks absolutely wonderful your so good at staging things, its going to be lovely potting away on it, thankyou for sharing
Mandy, I can see many hours spent at my old sink...
Wow what a beautiful potting bench!
How lovely!!
Enjoy it every day!!
Darlene, Now that sounds very interesting... I don't want to press my luck my asking Husband to learn that craft though!
Your videos are candy to my eyes 🥰
I love your gardening area.
Oh my goodness, I'm in love with your gardens and that new potting cabinet!!! I would love to spend an afternoon in your garden!❤❤❤
Pam, We'd probably spend the afternoon of the porch, sipping lemonade and sitting under a fan.....just looking at the gardens, it is SO HOT already!
You know you are right, but I would wander thru the gardens first and then enjoy your company on the porch. The sounds of the animals are magical ❤❤
