Yes, spacing is sooo important, and when you watch some of the male groups' dance practices you can see first how tightly fit they are together, and second what illusions can be created by depth. One of my fave dancing groups has a choreography where I hold my breath every time they do it because it looks like they'll slam their heads together, but they're actually ahead and behind each other so there's no actual chance. Optical illusions add a lot of intensity. The thing I love about Monsta X is that Kihyun routinely does the same motions/movements as everyone else, even when he's killing high notes. He's so impressive in being able to sustain breath support even while doing all this choreo. Thanks for your review!!
Wow i didnt realize this was only released an hour ago. 😆 I was just bored scrolling through reaction videos. Im so glad you reacted to their dance practice. People dont realized how talented they are with their dancing. Hopefully we get some more of these. I love watching your videos. ❤️
it's not that kihyun was a bad dancer but he did say he felt a lot of pressure back then because most of monsta x were good dancers and could pick up choreographies pretty quickly so he had to practice a lot. but this is also why some fans claim that if you want to learn their choreo, watch kihyun and his fancams because he moves by the "textbook" (like what the actual choreography is) shownu tends to emphasize hip movements from what i observe, minhyuk is very snappy, and jooheon adds swag so yeah the choreo might look a bit different if you watch them while trying to learn.

Sorry, one more comment. Yes Kihyun didn’t know how to dance when he came to Starship. If you get a chance because it will take up some of your time but maybe watch “ No Mercy”. It is a show that shows how members for Monsta X were chosen. Quite brutal. Also shows how I.M. was “introduced” into the band.

Yes! More Monsta X! I enjoy the dance practices as much as the MVs sometimes. Synchronization in dancing always amazes me. Astro is at the top of my list for synchronization; TXT is also very good, and of course Seventeen. There are quite a few groups with tall members. Hyungwon is the tallest in MX at 6’. VIXX, SF9 and TXT members are also pretty tall. Can’t wait to see what you react to next! You can’t really go wrong with any MX song/dance practice.

yesssss. i woke up and shovelled a bit before hopping onto youtube only to see this video was the first one on feed. you're becoming one of my favourite monsta x reactors. :) i told you that! well, i didn't say "horrible" but i did say he wasn't a good dancer at one point in his life haha, and i did say "hard work sure pays off", and these choreo videos show that! i didn't read all the comments but i am assuming someone mentioned that he didn't have choreo training when he joined starship. if i remember correctly! it's been a while since i watched no.mercy. keep in mind that if you do plan on watching it, the episodes are quite long, over an hour, and if i remember correctly then i believe they're actually hour and a half long episodes. again, i could be wrong! the show is very brutal. you'll probably be angry at the producers and judges lmao. i know i sure was. but it's necessary! they definitely needed the harsh criticisms, otherwise monsta x wouldn't be what they are today. :) again, thanks for reacting honestly to our boys!

They're not the tallest but they are all TALL AND BROAD. Even kihyun who isn't always considered as built is actually broad. Especially Jooheon, he was the one who surprised me when I saw them. He's so big and so fucking pretty too lol
Thanks for the reactions as always! I'd feel remiss not suggesting some Dreamcatcher dance practices and/or relays. The practices are mesmerizing. Dreamcatcher's choreo has been clean af since debut. Their relays are always incredibly creative and entertaining. Hell, starting with the "BEcause" practice and relay are dope enough. You get SO much more out of the doppelganger concept when you can see all of the "Us" references, creepy movements, and mirroring.
Just binge watched your monsta x rxn videos! It was rather entertaining ☺️ I love mx because they are all-round players. Rush Hour and Gambler were produced by Joohoney :) It’s so interesting because all my favorite songs were produced by Hyungwon! “Secrets” and “Bebe” from the album “One of a Kind” and “Mercy” from album “No limits.” You should check out their English albums and I.M.’s solo album! Most importantly, Kihyun’s covers. OMG. He sang Little bit of love, Natural, Believer, etc and they are breathtaking. Anyways, thank you for the videos and I hope you a happy 2022🥂

I really love your reactions and I'm always wanting for Monsta X in your channel! Their choreographies are ones of the most difficult and fascinating in Kpop. Yes they're a tall group. Shownu 1.81, Wonho 1.78, Minhyuk 1.79, Kihyun 1.75, Hyungwon 1.83, Joohoney 1.78 and I.M 1.76. I don't know how is in inches it is in centimeters. Sorry but I'm from México and in Korea is in centimeters too.
Yeah I think Wonho is like 5’9” or 5’10” and shownu is like 5’11”. So I can just figure out everybody else from there!! Thank you!! I appreciate the info!
You mentioned the thing with the spacing, and how they had to get used to each other as a seven member unit. I noticed that their spacing has been a little weird ever since Wonho left. You can see in their life performances how they sort of leave a gap unconsciously.
Monsta x is my favorite group, but they are closely followed by stray kids. You should check out their dance practices. They have great choreo and they always make sure it fits the music. Two songs to check out: Domino and Thunderous.
