      Thanks for a great reaction to Dimash. You did watch him when he was 22 in 2017. You whant to know how to say his name? I can fix that. Just watch this, it's one of his better versions from SOS from the year 2018 and pay attention at the beginning of the video because they say his name! And also don't forget to turn the English subtitles on in the settings of the video. Sorry it only has 720p HD in the settings. ua-cam.com/video/W29zEuZVaxs/v-deo.html

    I just got to say that you've just been Dimashified! Dimash is a 25 year old singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer from Kazakhstan. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, still learning Mandarin and English and he sings in 12 different languages. What you just watched, he was in a singing competition for established singers in China about 2 years ago and Dimash was a wildcard, completely unknown to the audience and other contestants. Unexpectedly for him (from what he said in interviews), this performance right here was his ticket to worldwide fame. Je became an overnight sensation in China because of this performance. Currently he's 25 years old and now have a huge fanbase from about 120 countries (I thinks its safe to say from all over the world) . His most recent concert which was held in Nur Sultan, Kazakhstan was attended by 45,000 fans (if I read right) from about 65 countries. His range is F2-D8 and he is the type of artist that you cant put in a box. He pretty much mixes different styles of vocal and music (opera, pop, rock, rap, folk etc.). Its hard to suggest which song by him you should watch next because they're all amazing. I would probably suggest all the episodes in this competition or jump to his very recent performance which is mind blowing called Passione (Italian). The next episode in this competition is called Opera 2. Great reaction by the way. Thank you!

    Welcome to the world of Dimash. This was Dimash 1st performance in The Singer where he was introduced to China as well as the rest of the whole world, he became an overnight sensation in China after this performance. Dimash sings in 12 different languages and play multi instruments, he has been training since young age of 5. Trust me, you have seen nothing from him yet. Please continue to react to Dimash performance for Opera 2 and get ready for another mind blowing performance😊DKIFC/SG

  • @capegoat1
    @capegoat1 5 років тому +18

    Perspective: This performance basically launched Dimash's international career. Note... the audience clapped when he came out on stage, not for him, but because a much looked for Chinese singing competion called 'The Singer', which pits professional singers against each other and allows the theatre's audience to choose each nights winner, was finally kicking off. Dimash was brought in as a complete unknown. Notice that the other singers, backstage, gently laugh amongst themselves as they watch Dimash accept the initial applause as if it was for him only, rather than a collective applause for the competion. Then Dimash did THAT! Were I you, I'd move chronologically through his eleven 'The Singer' performances to watch the evolution of the young man who I truly believe to be the greatest vocal artist alive today. His next performance in 'The Singer' is titled 'Opera 2.' Its a fun romp, and I'm betting it will leave you smiling for hours after you finish reacting to it. (His last name is pronounced 'koo-DYE'-eh-Bairg-en.' See: not so tough.)

    This was over two years ago and he is better now 😁 sounds crazy but true. He is a fully trained opera singer but he chose a career outside of this and I am so glad tbh.
    To fully experience his voice now I recommend Love is like a dream, Ogni Pietra (it will blow your mind) and Passione.
    If you want to see how high he can go, try Unforgettable day in Gakku. That is his highest note to date, a D8. It is also his own composition. The guy plays a ton of instruments and composes too. Crazy talent. Thanks for a great reaction 💞

      I Would have included The Love Of Tired Swans which while being easy enough to sing and has nothing to show off his vocal gymnastics with, never the less is a super nice song and ideal to show off the sheer quality of his voice with, especially his fantastically developing lower voice with. Sometimes the simplest songs are hardest to sing being being more straight forward and even, they need a consistent and even voice to sing them where as more changeable songs can mask lack of control as they don't require a consistent weight and level to be maintained.

    • @marie-joseepaulzak1936
      @marie-joseepaulzak1936 5 років тому +1

      He sings in French here. His French in this song is so so, but since that day, he has corrected a lot of the pronunciation mistakes. The song goes like this; Why do I live, why do I die? Why do I laugh, why do I cry? An original by Luke Plamondon (he writes for Céline Dion), and interpreted by Daniel Bellavoine originally. Please listen to Ogni Pierre (also called Olympic), written and played by his pianist, Igor Krutoy; it will blow your mind.

He is genius of the century. Dimash and Flor that would be amazing till then he wil cooperate with Lara Fabian and perhaps Andrea Boccelli, He will have his solo concert in NY, Barklay's Center 10th of December this year and I am sure after this concert his offers will be skyrocketing. I have been a "DEAR" for 2 1/2 yrs. ( What name he refers to his fans- as they are dear to his heart) The most modest and humble singer I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Dimash has trained since he was 5 yrs old and like you, he explains he love all types of music. He comes from a musical family with his mom & dad both classical trained singers themselves. He turned down the offer to go into only opera- as he wants to sing the songs in his style (which he changes styles of singing within each song from classical, rock , pop styles- yes, he will even throw in rap too- if he feels that is what would do the song justice) His tones are fantastic w/ a 6 octave range - it is like he is painting the song with different brush strokes for each note. I would go to Gloria Wu's UA-cam to see background stories of the Singer shows he appeared on and her videos have English subtitles. There are so many videos of the last few years- it would be best for you start with his "The Singer 2017" episodes where he competed as the outsider that couldn't speak Chinese and ended up "adopted" by China. (the video you watched was his first song in that competition) If you want to spend 2 1/2 hrs being blown away by his diversity of music and just plain energy- watch his latest concert in June. The link is here: ua-cam.com/video/hKk3QPxzQCE/v-deo.html.
    That will give you a flavor of Dimash ("good-die-bergen")BTW his was raised by his grandparents (a tradition in his country for the oldest grandson) I tell you this as he calls his grandparents mama and papa and his parents mother and father. In the concert he introduces his little brother (about 12 yrs old) His little sister just turned 18 yrs old. Both are musically talented too. Welcome to the Dimash journey....he never stops surprising and delighting you!

    I just heard my first Dimash song yesterday. It appeared on my feed so I clicked on it. The song was "Sinful Passion" I was never so AWED in my entire life !!! I didn't understand the words, but it spoke to the deepest part of my soul ! I was an emotional mess by the end of the song. Since then I can't stop clicking onto his videos. It is an absolute privilege to hear him sing !

    It's French. He speaks Kazahk and Russian, and has been learning English tha past year or so. he sings in a dozen languages :) Most of his songs can be found with English subs. For The Singer performances I recommend Gloria Wu's vids - she has Eng subs and gives a short backstory on the songs, which really adds to the experiuece on songs like Daididaou and Autumn. Welcome to Dimash - enjoy the ride!

    Thank you for doing a Dimash reaction. He is 25 yrs old and have been classically trained in the bel canto technique since he was 5 yrs old, has a 6 octave range & he opted to sing neo opera/crossover instead of accepting an opera houses offer. He speaks Russian & Kazahk but he sing in Mandarin, English, Russian, French, Italian to name a few & he plays multiple instruments. He will have his 1st US concert on Dec. 10, 2019 at the Barclays Center, New York. His voice is fuller & more mature since that video in 2017.

      I'd be interested in hearing him sing opera. I actually don't think he'd pull it off. None of those tones and registers he sings in sound good enough for classical singing. That's a completely different type of talent and voice required. I give him credit for this neo-classical singing he does but Puccini, Donizetti, Bellini etc are a different world.

      @@barbarasaracini1271 Thank you for leading me to that. I just listened to it and I was right. He's horrendous. He has no support or much of an operatic voice. Its basically a fake opera voice amplified by the microphone.
      That fake opera voice is hollow and his lower notes are ingolato (in the throat). When he tries to go higher, the voice fades out and loses power.
      Its an interesting voice and he has great stage presence and excellent coordination between all his different voices but for opera, he's horrendous. Regardless he will go far singing in this pop-neo-classical realm.

      @@St.Garoosh Since I know nothing about opera, I find your observations interesting. Especially because he was offered to sing with the Astana opera. Anyway, I think he's a great talent and I agree..... he will go far. Actually, he already has.

    • @St.Garoosh
      @St.Garoosh 4 роки тому

      @@barbarasaracini1271 I'm not exactly informed about the Astana Opera House but I highly doubt Kazakhstan is famous for its opera. Its practically an unknown venue for classical singing. No clue who goes there to sing Italian opera etc.
      Dimash has an interesting voice but just because he can hit high notes and use a microphone to amplify his lower notes does not make him a good candidate to sing opera.
      Italian opera and the Italian school of vocal production is the universal model of proper classical singing. Unfortunately Dimash is lacking in the qualities necessary to have a great classical voice. His voice has power but its weak compared to real opera voices. He has a squeezed, thin production that sounds great WITH a microphone. Remove the microphone and the voice fails in the operatic theater.
      Also you cant switch into falsetto high notes in opera. The sound must be a solid tunnel of concentrated air from the bottom all the way to the top. That video you led me to shows he cant sustain that fake sound he produces in his lower register all the way up. He immediately lets go of that and switches back into that falsetto voice to hit the high notes. Thats unacceptable in opera.
      Anyhow, much success to Mr. Dimash regardless if classical music isn't his calling. He will still make a big name for himself in neo-pop.

    Greetings of Peace to everyone…! And to all the personnel’s who worked with Dimash, and all others who did the translation, produced videos and uploaded it on line. My heartfelt gratitude to the reactors worldwide for your great help and service, so that artists can improve and or develop their talents and gifts at their best in order to serve better the listening public.
    I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
    The discipline, courage, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his singing career to the best of his ability the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Hope his listeners around the world especially the young will learn something from his optimistic views in pursuing his career, his persistency, courage, creativity and perseverance. His labors and hard work are now indeed bearing fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and to his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the content of its music.
    The power and beauty of his voice is so incredible even at his lowest and highest notes. Also the fact that, he is able to sing his music with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said oooh… is Dimash human..?
    I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and probably surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation. But I believed and I’m convinced that Dimash 20 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted but his hard work and years of practice and experiences proves it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible.
    My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
    Although all Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
    With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below about these music is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me.
    For all those who read these reflections and commentaries of mine about this piece of music performed by Dimash. If you think it is helpful for you, for your family and friends you can share it to them as you please, and I do really appreciate it. Or maybe you might have a different reflection experience of this music than mine; you can always revisit this music or other music of Dimash on line. Your own personal comments and critics to this commentary and reflection of mine is very much welcome and highly appreciated too.
    Song of Dimash in French “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
    STORY BEHIND THE SONG: Gregory Lemarchal was a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse”. Gregory at all odds won the fourth series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health. He became an overnight success in France and went on to have a successful short career. He was known to have the voice like of an angel but he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23. Also this song was sung by Dimash from time to time in memory of his friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died in hospital of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. That is why this song is a bit sad mention in some of the lyrics…A soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress.
    Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our life’s journey, but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith.
    For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment.
    Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God.
    Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later.
    Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into us, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now.
    Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension.
    If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we did reconcile with God and at peace with others.
    Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, in the course of which we change, grow old and, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we prepare at all times, otherwise we are caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss.
    Once again, thank you Dimash for your music and service to us, to your country and people. Rest assured of my support with you. God Bless..!. With Gratitude, Ester Rabi, Philippines

    Рахмет! Керемет реакция! Димаш әлеміне қош келдіңіз! Бұл 2017 жыл, Қытайдағы "I'm singer" жобасы(Димаш 22-23 жаста, қазір 25 жаста). Йә, дұрыс айтасыз, бұл ән француз тілінде. Сонымен қатар осы жылы 10 желтоқсанда Димаштың Нью-Йорктегі концерті өтеді! Келесі реакция Димаштың орындауындағы "Ұмытылмас күн" және "Opera2" әндері! Алға! Сәттілік тілеймін! Қазақстаннан сәлем! 🙏🌠✌️👏🇰🇿
