Cool guy, and part of one the coolest bands of all time. I love Motorhead, and was lucky to see them twice at a small venue. Mikkey Dee and Phil Rudd are two of the hardest-hitting drummers out there, and they both use Sonor drums. I guess they can take a real beating.

Phil Rudd is one of tje worst rock drummers ever. Has he ever heard of a fill?

AC/DC isn't exactly skipping drum fills because they can't find a drummer who can pull them off, lol.

Some people don't get it. Phil Rudd is a unique hard rock timekeeper, and his style works. He doesn't require loads of rack toms, and he doesn't even need to use a ride cymbal.
Here is his cymbal setup:
