he was singing out loudly when he plays pro tournaments back i nday lol. dunno which one but you should check it out. maybe it was some iem or regional
I heard about Harstem from a Lowko video where he said he was a cool Dutch pro player, so when I saw a video uploaded by Harstem, I thought "this will be good"; and I was right :)
I never really believed casters when they go on an on about the tightness of pro builds. Especially when watching the off the cuff stuff that happens on stream. Got a whole new appreciation for these tight all-ins and the thought behind them. Brilliant stuff.
I encoded the final build into Spawning Tool so that any of you guys can follow it with in-game cues and timings. Enjoy! lotv.spawningtool.com/build/133109/
"Now if Terrans see a void ray they're going to expect that build, so you want this to start looking like other builds, so we build an oracle." But Harstem, now that you said this, Terrans will expect this build if I build an oracle; should I just build a phoenix now?
I do a very similar timing in PvZ. Void/Chargelot Allin. I hit around 6 minutes, with 3-4 voids, and a bunch of chargelots. The build definitely needs a bunch of optimization as I pretty much improvise it everytime, but honestly, no one holds it in High Diamond. I'm sure if you refine it you could make it work at higher level as well. As people are commonly opening with voids right now in PvZ, the idea is you use it to deny scouting while you build your push. Here's a video of a game where I felt I played the build very poorly, plus let him scout it, but still managed to with super easily with it: drop.sc/replay/16385241
I wish harstem plays zerg too. I would get more value from his streams, but less entertaiment as i would watch like a class. I just realized that is better the way it is now. ^^ lol
true strategy = make an easily recognisable build with "specific" counters -> since it's harstem it'll get popular -> people will counter it as soon as they see it -> Hartsem fakes the strategy and makes a counter to the counter for easy wins. road to rank 0 shenanigans.
Harstem are you afraid that uploading UA-cam videos will allow other players to beat you in the pro scene as they can watch your strategys and hear your thought processes?
they have much more anti air by default by the 5ish minute mark,.. several queens, spore crawlers which can move..also by 5:30 there should be enough roaches to prevent adepts from doing anything
@@gehirndoper no way. i play toss, and i know how many roaches are there by 5:00(on 3 bases) if i just go standard glaive build vs z . and this zoun's build doesn't hit before 5:30, so there is no way it would work in dia and higher. might work in lower leagues tho
terrans can hard counter this build by simply building a depot wall in front of natural ? inno had plenty of depots serving no purpose for the sim city in that game. i guess that woul make depots more exposed, is that vulnerability enough to stop the terrans from doing it?
Maximum priority is macro (constant worker production, keep your resources down by putting your buildings down on time and making as many army units as you can), 2nd priority is scouting and reacting (army composition, build variations), 3rd priority es micro (efficently using your army units to get maximum value out of them)
1. Correctly walling Vs protoss and zerg. 2. Probe production 3. Unit comp 4. Getting the general build right. 14 pylon 16 gate 17 gas 20 nexus 20 cybercore 21 gas 22 pylon. 5. Choosing your tech building and getting it on time (as soon as cybercore finishes) 6. Expansion, tech and gateway timings
@LowLinK Walling against protoss is not a gamble. Watch Harstem's video with printf on defending cannon rushes. The standard response vs cannon rush is to fully wall your main to stop any cannons from going up in your highground, then getting a cannon of your own near your ramp to deny vision. Once he doesn't have vision he can't kill your cybercore. But I agree that walling vs protoss is not "the number one priority" as he puts it
Wow, I didn't know you until the Lowko video, and now you're my favorite pro player

I watched harstem before lowko he is my favorite player to watch love his analogies and just who he is haha he is amazing
Florencio is a very close second and lowko is the 3rd but lowko is the most reliable lol
Harstem is a legend already for many years now. He is so cool!

Hey if you do 'Harstem Half-Hour' you could get that snazzy alliteration going.
Harstem Happy Half Hour
How to get views:
Normal UA-camrs: clickbait
Harstem: Truth (Harstem hour but it is 27 minutes)
Harstem hour - Harstem
Actually 27 minutes - editor
Do you really think Harstem knows how many minutes there are in an hour?
@@zbyszanna it is true he has his own perception of time. He probably thought I was close to 7 hours 34 minutes and 23 seconds

would have loved to see at the end, an actual match against someone using this refined build
"This actually is pretty tight. I like it, I like it" - Harstem
Build Order: Scout late and patrole drone next to nexus for 1 min. Fair play!
"Now if Terrans see a void ray they're going to expect that build, so you want this to start looking like other builds, so we build an oracle."
But Harstem, now that you said this, Terrans will expect this build if I build an oracle; should I just build a phoenix now?
this is great, loving the insight on how to refine a build order. keep it up!
Harstem, you have such a good musical taste men, well done
"Thinking for yourself is for losers, just copy what someone else does and make it better" -A Very Wise Man
why am I watching this I play Zerg
You're assimilating the enemy
The smartest thing a Zerg player is capable of is watching high iq toss
Easy, just switch adepts for Zerglings and Void rays for Mutas, and you're good to go!
@@testthewest123 that's the dumbest thing I have heard lol
@@benmckibbin1739 i'm sure this lad will find a way to warp in zerglings somehow if you don't stop him in his tracks
'Harstem hour but it's 27 minutes.' I love the title of the video already.
0:30 Some of the worst advice I've ever heard. Love it.
Keep up the great content captain
It's kind of true though. At a really basic level that's how all of technology works.
Love this video! Maby one of your best. So interesting! Keep it up!
Really cool to see your process. I mean I will never use this because I am a pleb n00b, but it's still cool.
hell yeah its like harstem hour but 27 minutes and 30 seconds
you should make the bot the same race you want to kill so that we know what build this is against
i understood it to be against all races but idk. if not then it's for terran
@@meffed its for terran, it says its a build zoun used v inno
Thanks for the winks.

Maybe void rays can kill depots sufficiently quickly with prismatic alignment to make the wall a bad idea.
