Thank you for this. My grandson wanted me to make him a spin paint machine for his 7th birthday this month. I'll do it and they can all do it at the birthday party!
Hi Mark, Wow that would be the best birthday present ever! Thanks for letting me know! A small tip. Using a glue gun to fix things is a better idea instead of super glue like we used in the video. Thank you! Good Luck! 👍
This is absolutely genius, I need an "adult" sized spin art machine and the one's at the craft stores are tiny and the industrial ones are way expensive!!! I am buying everything and making one this weekend!!!!
Yep I got the same idea as yours and so the big size spin art machine we made! Thanks for writing to us! Wish you good luck! Share with us what you did if you can.
I've seen other methods for a spin art machine that involves cutting off the fan blades. This looks much better way of doing it. It makes me want to build one now. Thanks for sharing
I loved this idea...thank you for sharing. About to order the fan. Just a couple of questions, does the canvas stay well balanced with the funnel cup & do the t-pins rip the canvas any? I only ask because of the spinning speed. I love spinning art!!! Thank you!!! Just wanted to make sure.
Hi tab ashrafi Using hot glue gun is a good idea to fix it. At that time we didn’t discover glue gun yet haha. Yes we can make it work to be balanced, straight and tight. No t pins didn’t rip the canvas. THANKS A LOT for liking it and writing.
@@saatviklathascienceart6576 do you think it would still work well if it was a piece of plywood instead of the foam board? Or do you think it will be too heavy ?
Hi Keri, Yes canvas board was already heavy. It slowed down the speed of the fan. Plywood would be even more heavier I guess. But you can always try and let me know what worked for you.

what a great idea thx for posting
Nice man. Very creative
Thank You!
I am going to assume something like a split pin was then attached to prevent the board flying off good idea
Yes Paul! We used T-Pins for that purpose. Thank you!
amazing...i got a solution for my booth
I'm so glad! Thank you Katia!

Did you find a way to decrease the speed of the fan?
Emily Miller Yes! There are 1, 2 & 3 speeds. 3 is the highest. We put in 2 speed. Thanks for asking!
How to u keep board from spinning off fan?
Tammy Schwab Hi 👋. I used T-Pins to pin canvas board to the foam board at the bottom. T-Pins are long enough to go through the thickness.
How do you secure the canvas? I worry that it will slide off, especially if using paper.
I used long T-Pins to secure it.
I mentioned it in the video.
Thanks for liking it and reaching out!
@@saatviklathascienceart6576 I must have missed it! I appreciate it :) This video is awesome! Can't wait to try it out.
Thank you! Good luck & have fun!
