They all look really, really nice. Hats off to the small manufacturers trying to make a business from their own vision! That's one of the best things about this channel - it makes me want to wear much more "personality" in my eyewear because it shows the connection to the artisan.
100% That's the most reqarding part of what I do! I'm so glad you appreciate the concept. I want people to feel more connected to their glasses and the actual real people behind the design and manufacture of them
Personally, i’m a “Barton Perreira / Robert La Roche” man, (those “Toms” are deadly BTW). That said, of the three I’d go for the L’ecurie. I’m not an aviator fan but those are very cool. Keep up the good work Rob.
Love the video. I’ve seen all of these except L’Curie, but it’s good to get someone else’s take on the quality considering I would rather not buy all of them. The one I was very curious about was the Walton & Mortimer, so I’m glad you reviewed them. I enjoy heavier frames so I actually might get a pair after seeing this video. Might have to put it under the Hilco heater for a few seconds though to make them wider. My head is slightly larger than yours😅.
Thank you for this, I love the look of the Ameos,I looked them up and these two retail at $179 USD. As this is in my price range I wonder if you could compare them to maybe some other independents. I own 4 pair of Sol Moscots pre and Luxxotica Persol,Alain Mikli,Crap (inexpensive but price for product very well-made) moncada, Oscar and Frank,Akila, and Ace and Tate. These or any common Luxxotica owned brands, i've owned many. Thank you so much, love the channel and would love to see you review more quality affordable independent brands
Oh exciting to discover new manufactors! I like how before show casing each individual there was a paragraph about them and their individual story! Always so much fun watching your videos. It makes my glasses geek happy.😹 x
Very interesting presentation. Great that you’re breaking the Luxottica monopoly 👍 Amazing L’Ecurie has a higher SF score than Robert la Roche. Always love your analysis 🧐 Thanks
I became a fan of this channel, I am looking forward to get a Gast Kawai but still trying to get an idea if they are light enough to be used 8hrs a day, they do not look that chunky as the others models 🤔 Any ideas? Thx
I like to take my Gast off towards the end of the day, but they are certainly no less comfortable than Jacques Marie Mage, who so many people rave about. I would say Ameos are light and therefore more comfortable for around the same price. I hope you'll consider ordering through us whichever option you choose!
Dear Robert, what a wonderful presentation and presence in your videos well done! I wanted to ask you about an Italian eyewear brand named Eyepetizer, any thoughts about the quality? Thank you.
I really like these reviews but are all the brands you feature high end?? I'd like to see reviews of genuinely well made & designed very affordable eyeware. Including decent budget brands. Glasses are for the majority a necessity not a luxury.
I’m looking for a review on maui jim Alikas. Haven’t found any detailed reviews on the whole youtube. Hesitant to order coz of hefty price tag. What do you think about them?
Should try looking at budget/mid range sunglasses like sungod or look at weird sunglasses like Dillon's glasses with the matte finish lenes or maybe mosevic sunglasses with as their handmade in Cornwall with jeans but lens are from Zeiss
Helo sir I have a query should i go for power photo chromatic lens or power tinted lens? which will better (note- Iam not using cars for travel, mostly bike and train ridding).
I think if you can only have one, and you don't have sunglasses, then you should go with photochromic! We'd love to make you a pair and ship them over to you
@@thespectaclefactory My last query was My budget suits for photochromatic but i have seen your video in which you said in indoor there is less gradient present like 10% or less , is that any worry for night vision or indoor spaces?
What a cool unboxing…and I hate being negative and perhaps it’s my Asian and American background but the Walton and Mortimer reminds me of the NFL logo. And the packaging reminds me of every Wuxi mall lower end brands trying to be lux. Once again not to hate but just gave me these vibes, perhaps people in Europeans won’t have the same feelings

MM makes exceptional frames. Extremely special, unique and I would love to showcase them here on UA-cam. I've tried working with him but unlike every single brand who I have a loving, warm relationship with, I just never got that from him. He doesn't seem to like me and doesn't want us to be a stockist, which is a real shame as my own father wears one of his frames.
