Well crash of the titans wasn't really open, you just had to beat up titans, jump through platforms, and got to point A to point B. Yeah sure it had some pretty big places that you could walk around and etc, but you would just explore those big places just to get mojos to upgrade crash's abilities.

I fell in love with Crash of the Titans when I was younger. It’s not a typical Crash game but I think you need to take it for what it is. It’s a really fun 3D platformer with these mutants that all have different abilities
Crash mind over mutant is basically how the mutants tht cortex had under captivity, escaped all over the island & crash comes in contact w them throughout the game
I found the Mind over Mutant cutscenes neat. Crash was always weird in some way so why not make the the cutscenes different after every one or two. Kinda sad he did not show the last two as those just killed me when I first saw them.
Never played it much as I think the one we had gotten from someone was messed up, but from a playthrough I watched it not that bad of a game just way off what Crash is known for. Hell I can at least say it did not go the Nuts & Bolts route so it's at least more faithful the series then that game was.
If you want some real bad crash games, play the DS version of mind over mutant and the GBA port of Titans. On the opposite spectrum, the DS port of Titans is quite good and a nice throwback to the PS1 games.
MOM DS had pretty interesting concepts... Mutants leveling up, the bosses being mutations of a mutant caused by the iconic gems from the series... *sigh*
Crash Twinsanity and Crash Mind Over Mutant were my childhood games. I still play these games today. Anyway, nice video, AntDude! Keep up the good work! Please, post some more Crash Bandicoot videos.
Honestly not going to lie, two things I loved about the Titans games was 1. Crunch became a main character living with Crash and Coco, and 2. Although I felt like Crash's modern look was a bit too modern and didn't fit with that tattoos, I loved Coco's and felt like I got to see her grow up a bit.
I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere that the censored part is just Crash biting on Cortex's leg like an angry dog, but I can't remember _where_ I saw that.
I think Crash of the titans is the Sonic Boom equivalent of Crash Bandicoot, Sonic Boom takes place in an alternate reality so I think it's safe to say the same goes for Crash, though Crash did it first what with the redesigns and alternated game play. But that's just my theory. (Oh boy here we go...)
OH MY GOD I PLAYED THE CROSS OVER AS A KID. I used to reset the game constantly cos I wanted the "special mode to pop up" were you press buttons in a rythm or something
Mind over mutant and crash of titans where pretty great games tho. Sure it’s different but nobody complained about Monster Hunter Stories so why this, it was fun and that’s really what counts
@Fernando Nah, mutants were full of backtracking and it was just too easy. Atleast in titans you were adventuring unlike mutant where 50% of the game were just walking
Crash of the Titans had a better level design, while Mind Over Mutant had a better combat. I choose the later because Titans could get real annoying at times at how Crash is close to powerless against most enemies.
@@jordanwilliam3207 In mutants your only goal was to beat some weak ass mutants, no challenge and it was always the same, nothing new so it was boring af
@@Mongoliantiger Titans fare no better then. Fighting as Crash alone is a nightmare but once you jack just one mutant, you could just spam the mutants' ultimate move and be done with it. Mind Over Mutant's enemy mutants have better, more aggressive AI, and thus, careful timing is actually required for the combat. AntDude's point about Titans being more balanced between Crash and the mutants gameplay is something I disagree with when Crash is completely powerless against giants like Shellephant and Scroporilla unless if you get the Freejack Mask by luck.
It's so weird how these two franchises followed each other through hell and back again. Spyro rebooted itself, so Crash reboots itself with that weird titan/mutant thing. (Well, the forth wall breaking does make that a bit hazier in this case, but things are so different it's hard not to call it a reboot.)
Gonna be real here, I've only played the first 2 Crash games, but Mind Over Mutant's cutscenes make me want to play that one the most. THEY LOOK SO GOOD!
NinjaGMN, Pokemon Fanatic That ad has been stalking me across UA-cam. Anything remotely Crash related (sometimes not even that) and I get to watch Crash exercise for 5 seconds.
I think the different art styles in Mind Over Mutant would have worked if they had been linked to specific characters (ie: cartoony for Crash, darker cartoon for Cortex etc.) but that wouldn’t have helped the actual game...
You are the FIRST person I've watched/talked to that said Nitro kart was actually good..... that makes me so happy. I mean so many concepts from Crash were used in Mario Kart such as the Zero gravity wheel change thing, Crash did that WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before Mario Kart. (Nitrokart had it first, then it was introduced in MK8. for reference Nitrokart is from the Gamecube PS2 era for those who don't know) and to have someone not say "oh this seems like a MK8 rip off" is amazing.
For real, i played the titans games when i was child i completely loved both, i liked crash prior games but these are just a new way to see the character and explore him... the variation of cutscenes were one of my favorite spotlights and any of fhe backtracking in MoT bothered me, for real... i believe that it just wasn't to be eenjoy by the classic crash style hardcore fan base... (and i really remember to play both of those completely many times just to relieve these experiences)
Crash of the Titans was Mario Odyssey like 10 YEARS AWAY FROM MARIO ODYSSEY. Possessing enemies and gaining their abilities, done with headwear, yep Odyssey is a full on port of Crash of the Titans to the Switch.
I find interesting that both Crash Bandicoot and Kingdom Hearts both got games whose initials are MOM. Crash: Mind Over Mutant Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory Edit: And between Crash and Sora, only one of them got into Smash.
The back of the "Crash Twinsanity" disk box where the censored part was covered with the ESRB Content Rating has got me real good and it was extremely humorous! 😂 At first I thought they screwed up on the placing but THEY MEAN IT.
The 2 titans games are good games, just not good Crash games. (It just seemed like an odd decision to make it into a Crash game) And I would be excited for the N Sane Trilogy (*Because I cannot contain my excitement*) I just unfortunately don't have a PS4.
Same can be said about the Legend of Spyro Trilogy, also published by Sierra. A lot of people really passionately dislike it, but those games were actually pretty good. If they hadn't tried to cash in on Spyro's name, they'd likely have gotten the recognition they would have deserved.
I disagree, I think they are good games, no matter how you change Crash.. He will still be Crash. As long as the gameplay is fun then screw anything else. Also I had tons of fun with the co-op. Man the good times.
It's crazy how recognizable voice actors are. At 16:14 N. Brio's scream sounded identical to Father from Codename: Kids Next Door when he gets angry, and sure enough a little googling proved me right, that they're both voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
If you think the console version of Mind over Mutant is bad, then you should see the how bad the DS port is! Which is kinda ironic as the DS port of Titans was quite good and perhaps better than console counterpart as it took more elements from the classic trilogy.
Yeah, although I liked the monster designs it was just... weird. It had nothing to do with the other ports of said game, completely different story and all. Glad someone else remembers that port. Kinda wish somebody would cover it.

Well crash of the titans wasn't really open, you just had to beat up titans, jump through platforms, and got to point A to point B. Yeah sure it had some pretty big places that you could walk around and etc, but you would just explore those big places just to get mojos to upgrade crash's abilities.
I used to Play Boom Bang...........
Until a Huge Fight over the game between me and some friends.....
Let's just say.......
The bathroom door nearly got destroyed that day...
What did that poor door do to you
I want to know more
what the fUck happened
I loved mind over mutant and I thought it was a perfect game
But then again I was a kid when I played it, still loved the multiplayer though
Still never figured out how to unlock/equip different skins cause I remember in the little preview (if u don’t touch the controller on the menu screen) I saw the second player as coco
15:45 Why does your commentary sync up with Cortex's mouth movements so well?
LMFAO this comment needs recognition
Oh my gosh
Planner Alex Antdude was Cortex the whole time?
idk why are you gay hahahahahahah
Omg it does
I fell in love with Crash of the Titans when I was younger. It’s not a typical Crash game but I think you need to take it for what it is. It’s a really fun 3D platformer with these mutants that all have different abilities
LittleTryHard I loved the atmosphere and environment of the game, The art style was just much better than the second game.
*_BAD CRASH_*
You mean that one time I drove a car when I was asleep?
why does crash boom bang look like a weird anime
amse-safari because it was made in Japan and based off the manga?
theres a manga?
wait there's a crash manga...wut
Well, they turned Coco into a generic anime character. There's a start.
Yeah the Japanese created their own manga for Crash Bandicoot. It actually explains what happened to Tawna after Crash 1.
Sooo... Cortex Is Canadian
Never thought this would be revealed through a south park art style cutscene
Crash mind over mutant is basically how the mutants tht cortex had under captivity, escaped all over the island & crash comes in contact w them throughout the game
Antdude: *doesn't like backtracking in mind over mutant*
Also Antdude: *Get's offended by not having to backtrack*
hes not offended that he didnt have to backtrack, hes offended that he had to backtrack all those other times when the game couldve teleported him
I found the Mind over Mutant cutscenes neat.
Josh I aaaaagh it burns killer it with fire
MOM DS had pretty interesting concepts...
Mutants leveling up, the bosses being mutations of a mutant caused by the iconic gems from the series...
*sigh*
This comment becomes very relevant for the new vid
Lol the sequal of this video listened what you said
Crash Twinsanity and Crash Mind Over Mutant were my childhood games. I still play these games today.
Anyway, nice video, AntDude! Keep up the good work! Please, post some more Crash Bandicoot videos.
AntDude: Everybody moves at the same time
Mario Party Star Rush: *observing*
my favorite part about being early is watching all the comments sayings 1st and people saying no they are not
I will admit the crash of the titans and mind over mutant had some funny adult jokes
Same with Twinsanity
+Shadow Runner
just because you like titans and mind over mutant doesn't mean they're the best games ever made
+Shadow Runner
i do like the titans games, they're just not the best games in existence
also nice job editing your comment
+Delta Gem I played titans and it was good. If you treat titans as a game period, and not as a crash game it gets a lot better
I WAS IN THE FIRST GAME
8:10 I can’t get over how smooth his movements are. ON A GBA. So uncanny.
The cutscenes are actually pretty good
we need to see the censored part on that Twinsanity cover
Broder The Hedgehog it's cut out of the game along with nearly everything else
Broder The Hedgehog it's a innocent s3xu4l joke
Broder The Hedgehog Cortex spanks Crashes Ass!
I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere that the censored part is just Crash biting on Cortex's leg like an angry dog, but I can't remember _where_ I saw that.
The World Cannonball Race...SteelBall Run?
r/unexpectedjojos
Mozzarella
Dojyaaan
Now we're only missing Jeuse
I think Crash of the titans is the Sonic Boom equivalent of Crash Bandicoot, Sonic Boom takes place in an alternate reality so I think it's safe to say the same goes for Crash, though Crash did it first what with the redesigns and alternated game play. But that's just my theory. (Oh boy here we go...)
I thought of that too.
Cyn
Yes, but the similarties are amazing.
Why?
"Crash of the Titans" and "Sonic Boom" should never be used together in a serious conversation.
These games aren't bad they are just different I really enjoyed crash of the Titans 👍
awesome models they are fucking bad.
titans is alright, the rest of the games in this list were bad
HyperTwister mind over mutant was utter dogshite compared to every single other 3d crash
same
me too
viscount is pronounced VI-count, the s is silent for reasons of the english language

"But Sonic Boom bada bam is the worst game"
Renames Crash to Sonic
*LOL*
In like like sonic boom ok I don't care what no one says about sonic boom ok
To be fair. The guy said he was confused.
*bada boom bada bing
@@who316 it's a bang at the end
Honestly, I love the art style of Crash of the Titans
Honestly the only thing i liked about mind over mutant was the cutscenes
11:40 worst day of his life
Crash of the titans will always be my favorite crash game, the PSP version
Really? That's quite nice
The DS version?
@@kieranstark7213 Didn’t even realised that existed before this vid
OH MY GOD I PLAYED THE CROSS OVER AS A KID. I used to reset the game constantly cos I wanted the "special mode to pop up" were you press buttons in a rythm or something
Mind over mutant and crash of titans where pretty great games tho. Sure it’s different but nobody complained about Monster Hunter Stories so why this, it was fun and that’s really what counts
it wasnt fun tho... it's trash lol
Who else is pumped for Crash Bandicoot: The N Sane Trilogy?
AntDude hi AntDude I love your amazing channel
AntDude moi.
it's sad this is not the top comment
Gonna get it on launch!!!
If I had a PS4, I would be. Be pumped for me.
It's so weird how these two franchises followed each other through hell and back again. Spyro rebooted itself, so Crash reboots itself with that weird titan/mutant thing. (Well, the forth wall breaking does make that a bit hazier in this case, but things are so different it's hard not to call it a reboot.)
Ant: I can pass the time watching anime on VRV!
Me: *sigh* ant why---
Ant: I'M GLAD YOU ASKED!
GD Mandelbrot What's wrong with crunchyroll?
There's no dubs and it's not worth it.
+GD Mandelbrot
It's Crunchyroll + other stuff
ToastyMann Subs over dubs anyway.
I lol'd
Gonna be real here, I've only played the first 2 Crash games, but Mind Over Mutant's cutscenes make me want to play that one the most. THEY LOOK SO GOOD!
Ironically I got a Crash N. Sane Trilogy ad.
NinjaGMN, Pokemon Fanatic That ad has been stalking me across UA-cam. Anything remotely Crash related (sometimes not even that) and I get to watch Crash exercise for 5 seconds.
NinjaGMN, Pokemon Fanatic same
NinjaGMN, Pokemon Fanatic
I'm pretty sure they're using tags related to crash.
Same
NinjaGMN, Pokemon Fanatic
'Coincidence', it's not ironic in the slightest.
I think the different art styles in Mind Over Mutant would have worked if they had been linked to specific characters (ie: cartoony for Crash, darker cartoon for Cortex etc.) but that wouldn’t have helped the actual game...

Same here, for a second I thought it was actually the start of the video
12:34 I love that Neo Cortex is canadian.
Ha ha I noticed too
Those Mind Over Mutant cutscenes triggered some deep primal sense of fear within me that I’ve hidden for so long
I was 13 so my thought was "Naughty Dog can't save this anymore can they..." which was indeed terrifying at the time.
never happened to me... and I was like 9 when I first played this game!
Did anyone else catch the latest Game Theory Video where MatPat stated AntDude was an up-and-coming that needed more shine??
he wasn't wrong
No, because Game Theory is terrible.
Ant is sanss
P. Sqqp Prick
Honestly if you didn't say that I would have never known, mainly because I wouldn't touch anything game theory related with a ten foot pole.
Crash of the titans was amazing
You are the FIRST person I've watched/talked to that said Nitro kart was actually good..... that makes me so happy. I mean so many concepts from Crash were used in Mario Kart such as the Zero gravity wheel change thing, Crash did that WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before Mario Kart. (Nitrokart had it first, then it was introduced in MK8. for reference Nitrokart is from the Gamecube PS2 era for those who don't know) and to have someone not say "oh this seems like a MK8 rip off" is amazing.
This video feels like it came out 6 months ago, how the hell has it already been 3 years??????
For real, i played the titans games when i was child i completely loved both, i liked crash prior games but these are just a new way to see the character and explore him... the variation of cutscenes were one of my favorite spotlights and any of fhe backtracking in MoT bothered me, for real... i believe that it just wasn't to be eenjoy by the classic crash style hardcore fan base... (and i really remember to play both of those completely many times just to relieve these experiences)
crahs wrath of cortex was one of my favourite games as a kid and it was a really memorable experience!
bruh no, wrath of cortex is waaay better boi,
also apparently everyone is canadian in crash bandicoot according to that south park styled cutscene
no, is not. at least of the titans try to do somenthing New, wrath of córtex is a copy of crash warped. crunch is the only cool thing.
6:47 Which is the reason why I love the Super Smash Bros. Series.
Crash of the Titans was Mario Odyssey like 10 YEARS AWAY FROM MARIO ODYSSEY.
Possessing enemies and gaining their abilities, done with headwear, yep Odyssey is a full on port of Crash of the Titans to the Switch.
What a twist!
meme pictures equal smart how is that a twist
Crash of the titans + sonic adventure = mario oddysey
I actually like both so I'll provably gonna like mario oddysey
SuperNuclearBoss 1337
No you fucking moron
Mind over mutant is the only crash game I've ever played, I feel like I should be sad
It's worst for me, the only crash game I've played is Wrath of Cortex.
Does anyone else think mind over mutant and crash of the titans was an awesome game?
Wtf kid
Titans is a fun game you never played you don't have a childhood because you don't even have a mom
Yes, they are awesome games, just ignore these naughty dog cocksuckers
i loved mind over mutant!! my little brother and i would play it all the time!
Ernestas Butkus fucking loved those games. Seems im in the minority
I find interesting that both Crash Bandicoot and Kingdom Hearts both got games whose initials are MOM.
Crash: Mind Over Mutant
Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory
Edit: And between Crash and Sora, only one of them got into Smash.
The back of the "Crash Twinsanity" disk box where the censored part was covered with the ESRB Content Rating has got me real good and it was extremely humorous! 😂
At first I thought they screwed up on the placing but THEY MEAN IT.
I wonder what Crash is doing with Cortex
Cortex is a fucking Canadian from South Park.
The 2 titans games are good games, just not good Crash games. (It just seemed like an odd decision to make it into a Crash game)
And I would be excited for the N Sane Trilogy (*Because I cannot contain my excitement*) I just unfortunately don't have a PS4.
Nana-Kyoto ikr
Same can be said about the Legend of Spyro Trilogy, also published by Sierra. A lot of people really passionately dislike it, but those games were actually pretty good. If they hadn't tried to cash in on Spyro's name, they'd likely have gotten the recognition they would have deserved.
DerLetzteMonarch after skylanders the legend of spyro trilogy got a better rep
I disagree, I think they are good games, no matter how you change Crash.. He will still be Crash. As long as the gameplay is fun then screw anything else. Also I had tons of fun with the co-op. Man the good times.
Is the crash community in as much denial as sonic fans?
It's crazy how recognizable voice actors are. At 16:14 N. Brio's scream sounded identical to Father from Codename: Kids Next Door when he gets angry, and sure enough a little googling proved me right, that they're both voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
"I get it, I'll watch some anime with Vrv!"
...
"I'm glad you asked!"
This video is just over a year old and the Switch version of N Sane Trilogy is coming to Switch real soon.
If you think the console version of Mind over Mutant is bad, then you should see the how bad the DS port is!
Which is kinda ironic as the DS port of Titans was quite good and perhaps better than console counterpart as it took more elements from the classic trilogy.
Ikr, I got super confused when I used to have m.o.m for both ds and xbox 360.
Farmer Homer's Sweet Sweet Sugar I had Titans on GBA and it's amazing.
Yeah, although I liked the monster designs it was just... weird. It had nothing to do with the other ports of said game, completely different story and all. Glad someone else remembers that port. Kinda wish somebody would cover it.
I like that N. Brio's voice actor is the same guy who voice acted as Father in Codename: Kids Next Door.
I wouldn't mind a remake of "Crash of the Titans"
A remake of titans Is awesome
Though it's over hated as fuck.
