Adam has a beautiful voice, it's no wonder when Home Free was looking for a baritone to replace Chris Rupp, they contacted him. They got a Bass/Baritone/Tenor all in one. This is a beautiful song by the 3 of them.
I really enjoy "The Hound & The Fox's music. They've done a lot of collaborations with different members of Home Free & other artists. Their voices really suit the older folk style of songs & Chance blends well with them. This is a very old song that has been covered by many famous artists such as Burl Ives, Emmylou Harris & Johnny Cash.
They also did Sounds of Silence in the same setting. I don't ever like to hear other people cover that song, as far as I'm concerned no one else can do it like Simon and Garfunkel, but I have to say, I was blown away by Adam and the Hound and Fox's arrangement. I hope you'll react to it sometime in the future. Be well, be blessed, be happy.
Just so beautiful....Adam Chance has a wonderful gravelly scruffy voice in his bass...a REAL MAN's voice !! By the way his full name is Adam Chance Ray - his surname is Ray. Adam is sovery talented !!! The Hound and Fox are as well...the three of them together is magic
Also in the From the Vault Episode 1. The Hound and The Fox produced the video for Try Everything which was Chance's first video as a Home Free member. The Hound and The Fox along with their young son are in the behind the scenes shots.
That was amazing! The lyrics make me think the person in the song is getting ready to die. "Going over Jordan" is an expression that usually means dying and going to heaven. I love this folk style from the 60s and 70s.
It was interesting listening to Chance begin the song in his bass voice and then sing in his baritone register to harmonize with The Hound, Reilly in the next verse. When he sings with The Fox, McKenzie he goes up an octave to tenor. These three blend so well together.
I always love your reactions! This one is so beautiful. I also love that Home Free's schedule allows them all to pursue their individual interests/hobbies. I think it keeps them healthier!
This video goes hand-in-hand with their video for The Sound of Silence. When they turn around at the end of this they're in the position for the start of the other song and the camera has moved to the other end of the tunnel. At the end of The Sound of Silence they do the same thing; going into the exact position they're in at the start of this one. Both beautiful songs for a great mix of voices.
This is an old Southern hymn and has been covered by many many artists, probably most notably by Burl Ives and Johnny Cash. It speaks of someone who is ready to leave this plane and join their loved ones in Heaven by crossing’ the River Jordan. These three spectacular performers have done a beautiful job!
The performance and recording of this song shows the sum of their talents and their experience in song selection and also arrangement. I loved the little surprises while listening.
Love this. I heard it in the movie 1917 about WWI. It’s so haunting and Chance has such a deep voice. He was a bass in his first band but with Tim he’s now the baritone. The Hound + Fox collaborate with Chance a lot and they collaborate with Tim too. They have great voices. They do one with Chance called Hurt by Johnny Cash and it’s great too. Good reaction Sam!😍
Actually, the guys being able to solo stuff helps keep them together as a group. That and not sticking to one person being lead and pigeon holing the members. They let them all do what they want within the group and outside the group they all do various things that interest them. The solo songs just proves that music is very important to them and they feel the need to do music, even solo. Besides, if Adam was to start a career on his own, I think it would be as a writer (not song writing but writing stories) as that is one of his biggest passions.
This is my favorite folk song and Chance’s arrangement is gorgeous. He has a few songs out there that re completely solo (Drivers License is amazing!). Thank you, Samantha!
They began doing the solos during the covid lockdowns. I think they just got itchy with not being to get in front of an audience. It all is good I think.
I think the fact that each member can do their own projects and still tour with Home Free makes it less likely that they will separate. I don't think that was really an option when Chris left in 2016. Having solo channels for their music that doesn't necessarily fit with Home Free's style allows them that outlet without leaving the group. Tim and Austin have also started a new venture - Sweet and Low Music Co. with 3 or 4 others. They do small, private shows between Home Free concerts, which leaves them available for all the Home Free events.
The phrase "wayfaring stranger is taken from the Bible. Jer_14:8 O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Every time that Chance has joined with the Fox and Hound, every song has come out gorgeous with the trio. This is gorgeous.

Thier voices blend together hauntingly. Hauntingly beautiful!

If you've seen Home Free's "Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On" cover, you might recognize this couple..
Also in, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. They do, We Three Kings, with Tim Foust.

This is on my playlist. They sing Hurt together as well and Sound of Silence. All AMAZING
He goes by Chance which is his middle name as not to be confused with Adam Rupp. He doesn't use his surname while performing.

Agree completely ... they allow themselves space ... keeps the group fresh and tightly bonded !
Great reaction, Please react to The Sound of Silence by the Hound and the Fox featuring Adam Chance. It'll blow you away like this one did!!
Love your reactions! The Hound & The Fox did a wonderful cover of the season 1 iconic song from The Witcher, Toss a Coin to Your Witcher.

I love Chance!!
They did a great job of setting up for the next video singing the sound of music, you need to check it out.
This is such a hauntingly beautiful song, it just gives you the feels!! Wonder reaction ☺️
They sound so good together. If you havent heard Chances original song Song for Home. Its beautiful.
The performance and recording of this song shows the sum of their talents and their experience in song selection and also arrangement. I loved the little surprises while listening.
Well , Auntie Sam , LOL , I'm up past my bedtime again but it was so worth it. That was really really good. Liked it a lot. 💗💗💗💗
Absolutely love Chance’s voice. Great collaboration 🎶❤️👏

Tim did one with the Hound +Fox. We three kings. Not normal.
Your pronunciations are spot on for this one. Good reaction. Oh, I don't think there is any song that a good bell chord can't improve.

If you wonder why the group never backs down from a genre? They don't care. They're all insanely talanted.

This one is so pretty. Thank you ^_^
Chance is my favorite ... ssshhh , don't tell the rest of the guys LOL !
They also did Whistling Sailor. Really good.
Have you checked out the hound and the fox and Adam sing, the whistling lad, and my mother told me. It's awesome

:) Awesome! Be Safe
Where I’m from that is called a culvert.

React Promises - Gabriel Henrique (Cover Maverick City Music)
Not familiar with this song, great lyrics. Terrific collaboration.

So all these artists you have reacted to, song after song, and you have completely forgotten about Lara Fabian !
