I have such mixed emotions about 2014. I honestly think it may have been Gordon's 2nd best season and absolutely his 3rd best season of his career. Things just didn't go his way. At all. But honestly this was a double digit win and NASCAR Championship season. He deserved all the wins he got and should have won California, NH #1, WG, Texas #2, Martinsville #2, Miami at minimum. This isn't even counting races like Richmond, Bristol, Sonoma and others where he was a clear top 3 car. 2014 was 2007 level for the exception of 2007 didn't bring the mechanical issues and wrecks that 2014 brought.
Boyer has ruined Jeff Gordon’s chances of winning about 3 times that I can remember. 2014 Fontana, 2013 Martinsville, and I believe 2012 Texas. And of course the Richmond debacle.
What I liked about this race though was this performance set the tone for the entire season. They were bringing blazing fast race cars to nearly every track they went to after this.
Never forget when he bought out the caution when Jeff had the lead late in the fall Texas race 2014. If not for that caution Jeff possibly wins the championship
@@Cjay7324 yeah and somehow it seemed it was always bowyers spinning and ruining his race like the same thing happened at Texas when keselowski ruined his race while leading bowyer spun that race too
Too bad he never really had a shot to win that race though as much as I hate to admit it; he was a top-ten to at best a 5th place car that night. Still was the best looking race car out there though no doubt.
Jeff Gordon Edits that was the thing I couldn’t remember who won. Yeah nvm cut that ending out. Literally if anyone else it would just be whatever. Hey man I’m a Gordon fan more than Busch, was just a thought
Bowyer spun intentionally there. watch him dive in the corner, tire goes flat, he slows and gets it under control THEN jerks the car around. so why spin? to bring out the caution in an attempt to stay on the lead lap to advance position on the restart

Jeff Gordon is your 2014 Nascar sprint cup champion
Agreed
Yep : )
That's the truth 24 4 ever
We Gordon fans are the most deserved bitter fans in NASCAR...
That spin from bowyer should NOT have been a caution. NASCAR was notorious for robbing Gordon of wins this way.

another time Bowyer screwed Jeff over.
2012 Martinsville, 2014 auto club and 2014 Texas. Bowyer causes Gordon pain :(
*WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE CLINT THO* 😭
@@NikolaiPCulp Don't forget Richmond
Always Bowyer fucking up Gordon wins. This was tragic to watch Gordon lose this way

I was at this race and I was soo upset and now looking back it makes me even more sad because I never got to see him win
Yeah I'm glad I was never physically at the track to witness a tough loss like this.
Dude I feel u so was I & out of all the drivers that had to win was Busch!! Smh...

Bowyer u can see he had the thing saved and then just says I need a cattions if I want a chance of making playoffs
100% jerked the thing around
ahhh the race we should have won
Who knows, maybe winning this one would have shut the door on a later win.
There's at least 3 races Jeff should have won in 2014. This was during the phase when NASCAR loved throwing late race cautions for no reason.

I remember that race like it was yesterday. That car was a flat out rocket ship
Brilliant work! Keep it up!
Thanks so much, I appreciate you liking what I edit. I sure intend to keep it up : )
Bowyer spun on purpose
Please make a video of all the times Gordon should have won.
The rainbow warrior race in 2015 was tough also

where's the end?
I cut it because it doesn't depict Jeff favorably
Yeah I mean I get that but it’s still a good story about Gordon anyway plus we watch that far I just want to see the finish lol
@@alfonsoatoms Why would you want to watch a Kyle Busch win on a Jeff Gordon channel? Just look up the original race.

One of many races where Mr Gordon was screwed out of a much deserved win and possible championship!!!!!
At 8:06, that was a clean pass on Logano.
Jeff is notorious for racing everyone cleanly; in fact it's precisely because of that, that so many wins sadly got away from him.

They didn't need to throw a caution there. Bowyer was right at pit road on the spin.
I was at that race
He should’ve won that race
2004 southern 500
That's the worst loss he's had to you?
yes. basically if he won that race, he would've been the champion. he would've broken the tie of most southern 500 wins too
We can't know, he could have won that race and had a DNF at another. One door closes, another opens.

Man Goodyear brought a shitty tire to this race. Self destruct after 25 laps.
Jeff Gordon should have 125 wins
Another race where Gordon got straight screwed because of a late race caution. Ugh
Where's the finish ffs
How many cars did he pass that day?
I think they said over 70+
All of them
