Years later and glad this is still circulating UA-cam; not much out there (STILL!) on Chenille plants. Hoping you (Leah) or others who have been successful comment on WHERE to take cuttings from. It appears you simply have tendril cuttings in the bag (??). BTW, I'm not one to usually comment, but you cracked me up at LEAST a couple times in this video ("I'm not very good at this," "I know you don't like that (moist)"). I appreciate the video to know propagating these successfully IS actually possible.
I'm so glad I found your video!!! Hardly anyone seems to have one of these beauties as an indoor plant and information is so limited on them. I need some help with mine and wondered if you could give some care tips for the plant? I have a 4.5 inch pot of it and it flowers a TON so it has wonderful looking bushy red tails all over, but the leaves seem to be struggling. I get pale yellowing leaves daily and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I read they like a lot of light, so it sits on a table one foot away from a south facing very bright window (does get some direct sun in the evening, maybe that's the problem?). I read that it's a thirsty plant, so I use a moisture meter and water it when the meter reads right between "moist" and "dry." Too much water? Too little, not often enough? I fertilize every two-ish weeks. I'm afraid the poor thing is going to end up a leafless bundle of twings not long from now. But hey, there's lots of pretty tails on it at least 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Hey bestie :) So for photosynthesis to occur the plant actually needs Carbon dioxide + water + light which makes glucose and oxygen! Humans breathe in oxygen from plants and when we exhale carbon dioxide which the plant uses ! ❤️❤️
THANK YOU!! There is No information on these gorgeous plants! Mine has been struggling to flower and the leaves keep turning white. I think it needs a bigger pot but outside of that it is in a south facing window and gets direct sunlight all day. I just want it to thrive TT~TT
THANK YOU. Finding good videos on the Chenille plant is so damn hard. (Do you think this would still be needed if I added rooting powder? I saw online somewhere that you can put a 5’ cutting of the chenille plant in rooting powder and then just pot it like normal. 🤷♀️)
I sent this video to a friend I had given cuttings to and she did it with root hormone in the bag and she said they got real sad looking lol so I'm not sure if she did it wrong or it was the hormone!
Lizzie McGuire Well shoot... Uh, too late 😅 I’ll try it out and tell you if it works or not. (Is there a certain place to cut? I get so confused about where to clip the plant at.)
Google poped your video when I seached and I subscribed right after tou said more than damp. You honesty is impeccable!
Thanks so much for this!! Couldn't find any other good videos on it

@@moonycorn4914 I don't think it matters!
@@aed1227 always cut at least a few inches down under a nodule. Remove leaves except the top few. That lets it focus energy on the roots.
Geranium post video
You realize you are blowing carbon dioxide into the bag. Plants use CO2 and give off oxygen.
